    Reset and try to get into safe mode. Use DDU and uninstall the vga driver.
    I use 398.35 provided by msi on the support page for gt75 8rg. For me this driver is stable and i get the same frame rates (if not better) as the latest and greatest from nvidia.

    No. This was provided by Ultra Male for testing. Use the standard msi driver provided from your gt75 support page or latest version from nvidia.

    Thank you for your reply, so you never update your Nvidia drivers?

    Also as an update, I left it overnight and the screen came back on so not sure what happened there, I might revert back if that is recommended.

    After some testing i found that the driver provided by msi is the best for my system so no i dont update the vga drivers anymore. Maybe if msi releases a newer version i will test it and see if its worth updating to it.

    For some reason, whenever I put my laptop in Comfort mode (Idle) the CPU temperature will shoot up to 67 C and stay there but if I switch to Sport or Eco mode then the temperature will go down to 47 C. Is there a reason for this? I'm assuming that it's not the CPU since on Eco and Sport mode the temperature is fine.

    I tried the new True Color but i still got the same as issue as the 2.0 version, i can't edit the profiles, i can only switch between them and this thing is broken af.
    I've read in the past it was due to the app supporting only older nvidia drivers, do you know perhaps if there is a way to manually edit the profiles in the True Color app?

    I followed all the instructions and keep getting this error when I try to install the new nvidia driver in safe mode after running the uninstaller. I cannot seem to find a solution to this either. This is the 442.23 driver linked in the first page.

    most would, you just have to hand pick a few things as per your system's hardware. For example, if it came with the Aquantia LAN rather than the Killer LAN otherwise everything is generally universal

    Hi, thanks for making this thread, it is very helpful.

    Is it necessary / recommended to install the Intel Graphics Driver 26.20.100.8141 driver on the GT63 (with RTX2080)? Do non-Optimus laptop even allow the integrated graphic processor to be used instead of the discrete graphic card?

    And do you actually recommend all the control panel/command center (et al.) listed, or are some unnecessary bloat? I bought the laptop with a bare installation to avoid unnecessary utilities.

    Edit: One more question.

    Is the ENE Radio Switch for Airplane Mode relevant to all MSI Laptop? Is it a hardware switch? I can't see anything on my GT63 8SG that refers to it..

    Latest Dragon Center CAN support Nahimic...just gotta go through a few hoops. Use the installer in the Export folder (setup_G for G series laptops, setup_P for P series, setup_W for W series). You will need to have dragon center uninstalled for it to work. After install, you will need to manually add a shortcut to dragon center executable to your common startup folder in Windows (also, go to properties to Run as Administrator). PITA, but until MSI fixes the setup.exe to make sure ALL options are recognized and functional, this is the only way I got it to work.

    Just a heads up, the latest Nahimic update pushed through WU earlier this month was responsible for DX12 games crashing and sometimes BSOD'ing. Annoying issue that was hard to pinpoint, but disabling "Nahimic service" in the Services menu of Windows 10 has fixed the crashing. If anyone else is having issues with some DX12 titles (BL3 and Modern Warfare for me), try that.

    As it is I'll leave it disabled until another update for it rolls around, and I'll try again.

    edit: Well it turns out the WU driver was just really old :rolleyes: Installed the Nahimic driver from the GT76 support page over the top and everything's fine. I love MS logic - wait ages to release driver updates for stability reasons, but end up causing instability because obviously nothing is actually tested.
