but the A-Volute APO3 v3.3.1.0 driver is only currently available from WU (windows update), not thru MUC (ms update catalog).

Both my GT75 8RG and 9SG are trudging along nicely, though I have not been diligent on the BIOS/EC updates. I have the Prema BIOS but lost the download links and also the latest EC (if any updates). A point in the correct direction would help!

 

Qualcomm released a new driver for WIFI version 12.0.0.1076 and Bluetooth version 10.0.0.1076 for a while now but only the X86 version. Usually the x64 driver will be posted short after the x86 is posted in the MS catalog.

Does anyone know what manufacture published these drivers maybe they have posted the x64 versions?

 

Killer Networking. They are dead and buried, bought up of Intel. Killer 1535 and older Killer wifi cards isn't supported by Intel. Only Killer 1550 and above.

Thanks, I am already using the 1016, as I said usually after posting the x86, the x64 will be uploaded to the catalog, but not this time, it has been a long while with no release for the 1076 x64.

I knew that Rivet "killer" gave up on old models long time ago, that why I am cheking the MS catalog, and by manufactures I meant Lenovo, Asus, Asrock or others, cause MSI is so lazy and will never update its drivers, esp for old models.

@NeXt3R It is up to Qualcomm, and there will be future releases cause Qualcomm not only sells its chips but it makes its own Networks cards.

seems like MSI finally posted an updated APO3 driver package with SWC v3.3.1.0. Ditto for the APO4 driver package with SWC v4.2.1.0 & 1.2.35 extension driver pack.

only A-Volute APO4 v4.2.1.0 is recently mentioned in MS Update Catalog (and MS isn't quite ready to post the v3.3.1.0 package there yet)

I have this annoying issue that the WiFi and Bluetooth will disappear after the laptop sleep, it is a known issue by Killer drivers.

I was hoping it will be better the the new driver 1076 but it is not, anyone still having this issue?

It is well known issue by Killer drivers/EFI and Killer is aware but could not fix it during the years. there were lots of threads in MSI forum about it, here is an example https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threads/problems-with-killer-wireless-network-adapter.297110/

Once I updated to Windows 2004 if I recall correctly the issue has gone, but for a while now, it comes and goes every now and then, not that often, but very annoying when you need to use WiFi/Bluetooth and they are gone.

I am sure there will no fix for it as it was a known issue for years now.

I noticed I get the best performance with the original driver from msi.com GE66 10SGS download section.Driver version 442.76.
I also noticed I can still adjust voltage in afterburner when on this driver..After upgrading to later drivers the voltage will always reset after hitting confirm.But on 442.76 it's fine I can adjust core voltage and it will stick..
Now my question is basically can I somehow edit/merge the data from this driver with a newer version to try and have the best of both worlds?Really I only need the new driver for metro enhanced support,every other game I play works fine with 442.76.

This wouldn't be as simple as extracting the driver profile for metro exodus enhanced from nvidia profile inspector and uninstall/reinstall the old driver and add the saved profile inspector file to it.There's gotta be more to it then that but this new driver release is trash and I got some free time so I'm gonna see if I can make it happen haha.Should I start at comparing the installed nvidia drivers registry entries with 442.76's regedit?

Qualcomm has released the same wifi driver 12.0.0.1118 with a new date 6/15/2021 and new sign. that is weird.

this time only x64 driver, probably only for windows 11.

so far no issues using these drivers and windows 11, so far Wifi has never disappeared upon waking up.
