Which version did you install? Also it Nahimic 3 app that makes it allow. Hopefully your using it on an MSI branded system else if not I can help you.

Yes I do have it all on mega.nz however there is private beta folders in there too. If you go back a few pages you will be able to test 8777.1 out.

The same thing is with me. I did not check the sound when I turned on the computer a second time after installation. The sound changes in Nahimic, but there are no changes in other applications.

 

Is the driver version showing the same in device manager? I.e 8781.1?

Yes, driver 6.0.8781.1.

Just uninstalled Nahimic, installed it from the Microsoft Store and rebooted the PC. So far, sound works in both Nahimic and games. If the sound breaks again, I'll let you know.

Another reboot ...

I understood what the problem is. If you do not start Nahimic after turning on the PC, its effects will not work anywhere. If you start it and then start the game, everything will work.
What the hell? Nahimic services not starting with the system?

No, the service is running. Then I do not know what else could be. A temporary solution may be to add Nahimic to the auto start.

 

And i find out one more thin, that some times when sound go down, after reboot it works again, but when you open and close some apps like game, seems like when you close it that the time when sound go down

Yes, I have the same thing. I closed the game and something in Nahimic broke. The next launch of the game is already without sound improvements.

Opening Nahimic before launching the game, as expected, solves the problem.

I saw a feature of background apps from the Windows Store somewhere ... trying to find where.

In the settings, Privacy, and there is the Background Applications tab. But Nahimic is enabled....

 

Strange very strange as I am not having this issue myself, which is why multi-system modding blind is hard.

Ok, this seems very strange. Nothing like this is showing in my Event Viewer, so in the run box could you please type in SystemPropertiesHardware once there click the Device Installation settings, mine looks like



If your says YES, select NO and reboot the system then re-run the Full install as this would mean that Event ID 2001 means Microsoft just overrode the driver if you look it says IsDriverOEM and Upgrade Device both with true.

I realized with the 8777 version, when I wanted to test something, my mic won't work. Updated to the most recent 878.1, no dice.

MSI GE62VR 6RF, windows version 1903, in the recording devices tab, the mic pics up, and is set so other programs can use it, tried both with exclusive mode on and off. No apps work with it, nor anything online. How do I fix it?

(Both studio and mic drivers say device not migrated, if that helps. Installed it multiple times. Sound and Nahimic works. Tried the fixes above.)

 

You didn't click optimise on Nahimic when given the option?

I do know there seems to be issues with sound drivers on 1903 since the last Windows update. You say studio mic is that USB or analog?

I meant speaker, not studio. This is a built in mic. There was no Optimize Nahimic option for me. I recently updated to this version of windows.

Edit: Yes, I did the audio troubleshooter many times. I did the full install for the driver each time as well.

 

Ok here is something for you to test

Run mmsys.cpl
Head to the recording area
Select the Microphone and press properties
Now head to the listen tab
Insert a Headphone in to the headphone jack (this will save your ears for feedback)
Click the Listen checkbox and make sure headphones (Digital Out) is selected.
Press Apply and click your fingers up close and then work outwards.

If you get sound from the mic then, let me know what software your running.

As for the other two @ OneOnline @Jageruao3 i think i might know whats causing your issue with volume which might be to do with the microphone so also do the above by running mmsys.cpl in the runbox then heading to the communications tab and select do nothing and then apply see if that helps.

 

I had actually just rolled it back to the 1777 or whatever the version was called, (Well, I reinstalled it completely with the tool for that version) and that works fine for audacity. Perhaps the 1888.1 (Not sure the exact version there either) has compatibility
issues, so I'll hold off on it for now.

 

I always turn this feature off, so that is not the problem. I have not tried to install the previous version, I don’t know if it’s worth it. For now, I'm just restarting Nahimic and this temporarily helps.

To install you need to follow these steps:
0. Disable Internet
1. Run script to uninstall applications Remove-UAD-Appx.ps1
2. Remove old driver
3. Install new driver: 8787.1_UAD_WHQL_Nahimic_2019_0830_131455_fix_MSI.zip
4. Rebooting the PC
5. Install application Realtek Audio Control UWP
6. Install application Nahimic 3 UWP

Nahimic works perfectly.
Dragon Center does not switch sound profiles. Waiting for fixes from MSI.

 

Ok you do know then drivers are not modified right so it will only work on 8th gen and 9th gen systems, drivers I supply are modified to work on all MSI laptops.

You can't have a modded driver without breaking the signature. Have you used any of my modded drivers in the past? I see you are new to the forum I even checked your driver hence I know it's not been edited.

If you look at the title you'll notice it's for unsupported systems aka modified drivers, which is why I include all files with a few click installer which does everything for you. All that's required is SecureBoot to be disabled before running the installer.

I already had this new build that was released built and I am testing it before uploading it to the normal places.

What model of laptop do you have?

Install instructions:

- Disconnect from the internet (Blame Microsoft as they are still able to install drivers from Windows Update even when blocked with .reg file).

- Reboot System and Enter BIOS/UEFI.

- Please DISABLE SECUREBOOT in your BIOS this is now important for this new installer!

- Once you have booted back into the OS Temporarily disable AV software.

- Now run the Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.8787.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe Installer

- Select Full Install, Install Without Nahimic, Repair/Driver Update or Fix Nahimic 3. However mostly Full install button should be used.

- Sit back and relax as the UWP's get uninstalled, the driver gets uninstalled and then your system is rebooted into test signing mode and everything is installed and your system is rebooted again!

- Now head back into your BIOS/UEFI and Re-enable SecureBoot!!

- Now let the system boot up fully and re-enable the internet connection.



***[IMPORTANT]****
Known possible bugs and fixes:
Issue: Jack Detection not working.
Solution: Simply go to Realtek Audio Console Disable and Re-enable it.

Issue: Microphone not working after using Nahimic Optimizer.
Solution: Click Reset inside Nahimic Settings section will fix this.

Issue: Microsoft Overwritten the installed modded driver.
Solution: Head to Settings → System → About, Now click System info then Select Advance System Settings → Hardware Tab → Driver Installation Settings, now select NO! save and reboot
the system. Then head to c:\Audio\8787.1\ and run the launch.exe file to start the reinstall.

Issue: Nahimic 3 reports its device is not compatible basically not working.
Solution: Head to c:\Audio\8787.1\ folder and launch the launch.exe file. When the installer has loaded select Repair Nahimic, this will then uninstall the Nahimic 3 APO drivers and UWP then reinstall them after a reboot,
this should fix the issue.

Well my modded drivers, work on every MSI from 4th gen to present, you should try it. Not to blow my own trumpet like but the installer makes it a breeze and it includes all UWP's during the install so can be done offline or without using Windows Store.

I can understand why you wanted official signed drivers and if you want to do the same as me but for signed drivers you could make a new Thread thus reducing the confusion that could be caused.

Heck you could do what ultra male did for your notebook model series and make a thread that has all the driver updates on it.

I thank you for posting though It reminded me to stop testing and releasing the drivers.

I respect the modder for his work but why do you guys keep using Nahimic? It's got the worst EQ I've ever used, it only adds distortion and the virtual surround is just as worst. Ya'll better off without it or if you really want to use an equalizer use DFX/FxSound.

 

I like the loudness in Nahimic. For shooter games, this is very useful. I use only this function, the rest is not needed. Now I use Dolby Headphones, and there the same function works very poorly. For example, when it starts to rain, all other sounds become quieter, even my own steps, this is disgusting. But there is nothing I can do. The loudness of windows is not available to me, although I used it with some driver before, but it was worse than in Nahimic.

 

Does Nahimic enhance the sound quality or at least increased the volume without using the EQ compared to not having it installed?

 

I don’t know exactly what this function is called in English. This is when all sounds are averaged. Quiet sounds are heard well and very loud at a normal level. After getting used to it, this gives a huge advantage in competitive games. And about the rest of the sound improvement, I did not notice much difference. But it’s better to have at least some settings than to have nothing at all. Nahimic, Dolby, Razer Surround do better than without them.
PS: Razer became very greedy and their program no longer works for any headphones ...

 

I like Nahimic version 3 simply because I am placing yet another middle finger up at a company that said it wouldn't work, it's not compatible and it's too hard.

Also the Volume stabilization (volume increase) works nicely, the bass doesn't distort. The mic settings are vastly better then Realteks own UWP application.

I agree virtual 7.1 sucks but then again so does Microsoft's version too.

***Don't panic if the new Laptops/Systems are not in the list they will be supported if their 8th gen counterparts are in the list 9th gen systems will work with this driver.***


Install instructions:

- Disconnect from the internet (Blame Microsoft as they are still able to install drivers from Windows Update even when blocked with .reg file).

- Reboot System and Enter BIOS/UEFI.

- Please DISABLE SECUREBOOT in your BIOS this is now important for this new installer!

- Once you have booted back into the OS Temporarily disable AV software.

- Now run the Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.8791.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe Installer

- Select Full Install, Install Without Nahimic, Repair/Driver Update or Fix Nahimic 3. However mostly Full install button should be used.

- Sit back and relax as the UWP's get uninstalled, the driver gets uninstalled and then your system is rebooted into test signing mode and everything is installed and your system is rebooted again!

- Now head back into your BIOS/UEFI and Re-enable SecureBoot!!

- Now let the system boot up fully and re-enable the internet connection.

Known possible bugs and fixes:
Issue: Jack Detection not working.
Solution: Simply go to Realtek Audio Console Disable and Re-enable it.

Issue: Microphone not working after using Nahimic Optimizer.
Solution: Click Reset inside Nahimic Settings section will fix this.

Issue: Microsoft Overwritten the installed modded driver.
Solution: Head to Settings → System → About, Now click System info then Select Advance System Settings → Hardware Tab → Driver Installation Settings, now select NO! save and reboot
the system. Then head to c:\Audio\8791.1\ and run the launch.exe file to start the reinstall.

Issue: Nahimic 3 reports its device is not compatible basically not working.
Solution: Head to c:\Audio\8791.1\ folder and launch the launch.exe file. When the installer has loaded select Repair Nahimic, this will then uninstall the Nahimic 3 APO drivers and UWP then reinstall them after a reboot,
this should fix the issue.

I would just like to report, that i installed your latest modded drivers (8791.1) and it's been working flawlessly . You can safely put my laptop model to your supported list (MSI GS73VR-7RF Stealth Pro).

Only as a minor note, the jack detection "fix" as you described didn't work for me. It only started working after i connected to the microphone jack AFTER disabling the auto detection, and then connecting to the headphone jack. Only after doing this, that my system automatically recognized the connection. Don't know why this happened, maybe because i was using previously the original drivers from MSI and Nahimic 2+, and some leftovers remained after uninstalling, i don't know

Nevertheless, it's working nicely now, and thank you very much for your wonderful job and contribution!

You might want to add support for users under Windows 10 LTSB 2016.

 

What do you mean, you requiring support for that OS or it works with that OS?

Not owning Windows 10 LTSB 2016 means I couldn't test. However if it's build number is 1803 then it's supported even with Windows store not being included.

sorry, not possible to run Nahimic 3 on LTSB 2016. Nahimic 3 UWP requires minimum RS3/v1709 or higher cuz Nahimic support said so.

use LTSC 2019 (v1809) instead, Beemo.

DO NOT ADD SUPPORT FOR LTSB 2016!

Realtek UAD drivers AND the Nahimic 3 UWP app are INCOMPATIBLE with LTSB 2016 (v1607) & older [I know from experience cuz I have one machine running ltsb 2016 and the nahimic 3 uwp integration files don't run & not work on that version AT ALL! I'll have to upgrade that one to ltsc 2019 to use Nahimic 3]. tell all Win10 users to run at least the v1709 or newer version - and if they're running anything below v1709 or v1803, THEY MUST UPGRADE! NO EXCEPTIONS, people!

 

@epguy3 Of course i will not be adding 1703/1709 LTSB, its the quickest way to get busted as that requires reverse engineering which is illegal.

Anyway good new a new driver is also just been made i will upload the driver tonight however i will be taking a break on driver updates (else i will be chasing driver numbers all my life), So i will work on the basis of Major versions only now that the install is feature set and final. This is unless a Windows Update screws the pooch and forces me to update.

I also agree with @epguy3 if how haven't updated Windows 10 be it Home, Pro, Pro Workstation, Enterprise, LTSB then i will not be breaking the law just so Nahimic 3 will run on your system, If Nahimic states its for Windows 10 Build x then that is what the modded driver requirement will be.
