Signed up just to say thanks @hacktrix2006. Been searching for a while for a means to get NH3 on my GE72 &RE and you've provided that. As an additional bonus I've noticed several games which were crashing before have stopped doing so (I used to have to kill the NH2+ process) so thanks from the bottom of my ****ty Realtek chipset heart!

regarding the "Nahimic mirroring device" driver, it appears to be installed & used only with MSI systems and is not included nor bundled with non-MSI systems

As it stands that is correct the mirroring driver is for the exclusive deal with stream device option on Nahimic 3 UWP the bit that stops all systems even from MSI if it's a 5th/6th/7th gen Intel system from upgrading from Nahimic 3 1.4.2 to 1.4.6 due to them stupid checks.

However I did include the driver due to people with 8th/9th gen systems using this pack.

As for @TenthSerpent your welcome and glad it worked for you on your 7th gen system. Please not once a new driver is released public I normally get the driver packed quickly however I like to test them before pushing them out.

Hey @hacktrix2006, I am sure you have already seen this, but I have noticed some annoying habits of Windows 10 lately that I wanted to share in case you, or others, are seeing the same thing. First, even though I have disabled automatic updates in the Windows Store app, it will still periodically just automatically upgrade the Nahimic app to 1.4.6, meaning I have to manually downgrade it again. This brings up the second thing. I am on Windows 10 build 2004 with the latest updates applied, and I noticed a new behavior when I run your installer. It now brings up this Window that basically says your app is not from the Windows Store and essentially blocks it until you go into settings and change it from only allow apps from the Windows Store to accept from anywhere but warn me first (there are a couple options, but this is what I chose). Annoying, but changing it once fixes it for good as far as I can tell, but might want to add it to the list of known issues. The one that bothers me is why Windows will periodically, and seemingly randomly, just auto upgrade the app even though automatic upgrade of apps is disable in the Windows Store app. Have you seen this?

Was this on a clean install of Windows 10 2004?

Does this happen with any of the new installer builds or just one?

If it's all installer builds having the issue then that means that Microsoft yet again has screwed the pooch and is locking down sideloading after all it's Microsoft being microsoft.

As for Microsoft updating the UWP from 1.4.2 to 1.4.6 I have noticed this myself it's annoying however I don't know a way to stop it from doing so.

I am not using a clean install, but a recently upgraded build of Windows 10 2004. I have only tried the most recent installer, but I can test an older one. Which one would you recommend? I assume you want me to test one prior to the new installer script?

I am thinking that maybe the updates are coming through Windows Update. I knew there was a way to force disable driver updates so I started looking into it and came across this page (below) that describes the various ways to accomplish this. In any case, I think I may have found the issue. I had previously disabled driver updates through Windows Updates by doing the following:

This PC (Properties) --> Advanced System Settings (Left Side) --> Hardware (Tab) --> Device Installation Settings --> No (your device might not work as expected)

This was apparently changed back to the default option of 'Yes (recommended)' when I upgraded to Windows 10 2004. I also have the option to auto update apps in the Windows Store disabled. I am hoping this change alone will resolve the ongoing issue, but I will keep an eye on it and update you. There is apparently a local policy and/or registry change that can be implemented to also force disable driver updates.

Any of the last 3 driver packs are on the new script setup.

Windows updates always flip update settings back to defaults.

As for Windows 10 Store even with auto updates disabled it will still update from time to time because you know the expensive laptops you buy don't belong to us if it has windows installed.

I did a clean install and just recently modded Nvidia drivers for my GTX1060 with the UWP for NVCPL which installed fine however I am using gpedit.msc to set policies up for some of the Windows stuff.

So we are talking 8975.1 with Realtek Audio Console 1.14.222.0 UWP?

Guess I have to update the driver then I guess or have I already done so and just testing them for issues .

Nahimic 3 UWP has an update to 1.4.9 which I am testing now for the 4th/5th/6th/7th gen systems.

    Will keep you lot updated.

Update: Still a no go for any systems running anything lower then 8th gen.

Looks like we are stuck on Version 1.4.2

I guess that problem is limited to MSI systems only
not a problem with Nahimic 3 uwp app v1.4.9 on non-MSI systems like ASRock & Gigabyte whether older than 8th gen Intel or newer (what about anything before or after AMD Ryzen?) as it seems to run on them :)

Must be, however the file that has Device ID's in them is all MSI so, its more then likely the case. I even used another UAD driver pack to test Nahimic 3 on which had the soundcard driver name completely different, however having the same result so its ID related and Device ID's can't be changed.

Will not be doing drivers for awhile, sorry folks my laptop decided to break hinge and keyboard failed at same time. As it was my main and development was on that I am screwed for the time being.

Once again sorry for being unable to continue with support till I can replace the parts, unless I decided it's not worth it and go without till I have enough money to get a new laptop.

    EDIT:

Good news, i am back up and running on my laptop, dam MSI Hinges make a mess when they go.
Gorilla Epoxy to the rescue and some hot glue for the hinge to go on to plastic and the brass bolts.

Just waiting on getting replacement plastics now (Should be fun!)

So i should be able to make new driver packs when MSI releases them.

Glad that you got your system back up and running. If your laptop is anything like mine, you are trading performance and price for build quality. I have completely replace the body on mine, and it started because one of the monitor hinges (one of the only metal components of the build) broke the plastic posts on the casing for the laptop. I was able to eventually track down replacement parts, but it was a pain to find, more than I wanted to spend, and labor intensive to swap the guts of the laptop to the new chassis. I also have a spare in case I need it down the road. I was not really rough with the laptop previously, but I treat it with special care these days. Next laptop will something with better build quality for sure.

You have right. The built quality of the msi laptops are crap, but the performance and thermals are excellent..(with lots of tweaking and patience).

I agree with you @DimitriosMSI about the thermals being good, but it is also very true that tweaking is necessary to make it "good." I wish that MSI had used a high quality thermal paste. I ended up replacing the thermal paste with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and replaced all the thermal pads with Fujipoly Ultra Extreme XR-m thermal pads. It made a huge difference in temps and my CPU no longer throttles like it used to even after multiple hours of gaming. The fans could still do a better job dissipating heat as the keyboard (upper left) gets pretty warm (bordering on hot) during an extended gaming session. Overall, I am satisfied with this laptop, but I think MSI could do better. Or at least could offer a line of laptops (for more $$) that offers all the greatness of the cheaper laptops but in a high build quality chassis. I mean, I would love if this laptop chassis was built out of magnesium alloy like the Surface Book, about 30% lighter than aluminum but stronger. It might add a little more weight compared to plastic, and a bit to the price, but this would be awesome in my opinion.

I forgot to add that I have recently been using NVIDIA's GeForce NOW service, and it works surprisingly well. I do notice a bit of lag at times when I connect wirelessly, but when I use an ethernet cable, I forget that my game is being streamed. I mostly play Tom Clancy's The Division 2 right now, but the experience has been impressive.

I guess the reason I am mentioning this is because I may go with something thinner, lighter and more durable with my next laptop, focusing on a great display, and just rely on streaming services like GeForce NOW and Microsoft's xCloud (which is looking to be pretty good) for most of my heavy hitter gaming needs. The catch is, of course, that I have to have a solid 20Mb/s internet connection.

NVIDIA has announced an upgrade for their service to use Ampere cards soon, so looking forward to experiencing that. I think these streaming services are going to be a huge disruption to the "gaming laptop" market going forward. I have mixed feelings about that as I like how far the gaming laptop market has come with portable gaming powerhouse laptops and I do not want R&D to stop.

    What do you guys think?

I don't trust kryo, since it is for overclocking enthusiasts and not lasts for long. Soon you will face the "pump out effect" and eventually you will have higher temps than the stock paste. In my laptop I did some bios tweaks, undervolt with TS and made a custom curve to the gpu through afterburner. In the hardware part, I opened holes to the back cover and put a wire mess screen for better ventilation. On the cpu I put a very thin 0.5 mm shim copper plate and I get rid of the uneven core temps encountered due to the crappy triangle heat sink. On the vrams I put arctic thermal pads. I overclocked the rams to 3200 Mhz and Last but not least the drivers is really a challenge to find the optimal ones.
After one year of tweaking and searching, I can tell that the beast now is working as it should. Is it worth it? One thing is for sure. The msi laptops are not ideal for newbies. That I can tell. The verdict? I spent most of my time for modifying and tuning, rather than to play games or pushing it to its limits. That's all.

I would like to see pics of the ventilation mods that you made.

I read that there was a modified BIOS for my laptop that adds support for 3200MHz RAM modules, but I have not really researched it further.

I think at this point I am done tinkering with this laptop and I am satisfied with the cooling and performance as is. I am going to save the money that I would spend upgrading this one for whatever the next laptop is going to be.

Here you are but I think we are a bit off topic. For msi ge75 you can visit the "The Official MSI GE75 Raider Owners and Discussions Lounge". There we post everything regarding tweaking, overclocking rams, undervolting and all. 20200426_105107.jpg

Right working on the first ever Repack for 8975.1 which has some updated components. Currently in test right now.

Will also see if Nahimic 1.4.9 UWP works too.

Update: Although UWP 1.4.9 effects did work the Glitchy UWP still only shows Settings on any system lower then 8th Gen.

Hi, sorry I'm new to the forum and don't know how to contact people and this is about another topic you posted so I apologize.. Do you still have modded graphic card files for the GT72S 6QE? (from your post in " GT72S 6QE 980m upgrade to 1070?"). I'm had it working but did a clean install of windows 10 and now device manager does not see my 1060 which I had working before the clean install.. when I switch to the discrete graphics using the GPU button I restart and there is a black screen.. I hope you are willing to help!

Hey, @hacktrix2006 great job as usual.

I was running my PC without this modded pack since the last format, and today I wanted to give this latest pack a go. It resulted in Call Of Duty Warzone sounds getting cracks and distortions yet again - exactly how it was 3-4 months ago.

Do you have something in mind to remedy this?

Have you used the uninstaller from the AIO installer, then rebooted and reinstalled?

Edit: Downloading the latest patch for Warzone and will see if i get the same issue, does any other game have the same issue?

Full re-install absolutely solved the problem. However I did not change any settings with regards to bits or kHz settings. Will check them out soon as I got the opportunity. Thank you.

I tested Warzone with no issues my end with sound using 24 bit 4800khz for all output and input.

When you say Full reinstall I hope you mean the driver not OS.

Confirmed. 96khz is okay, 192 khz breaks CoD Warzone sounds.

192 would break in most game that hammer the CPU as it increases DPC latency.

Again, for what is worth, your latest (8996) still works perfectly on my MSI B350 Tomahawk under Windows 10 v2004 64bit.

    Maybe you could add do your supported list of systems something like;
"untested/unwarranted support for MSI desktop motherboards".

I suggest that because before I found your amazing installer, I tried 3 or 4 other modded drivers and they either did not work or only partially.

8984.1's did mention about Desktop ID's being in the new drivers this is because of where I get the driver from which is from Nahimic'3 Help race where a user on there is supplying updated drivers. All I simply do is then add the device ID's for every MSI Laptop pre Nahimic 3 to the driver and then package it in an easy to use installer.

However if I add about Desktops being able to use it the chances are I will get flooded with requests of help.

But I am glad it's working for you, just I can't support desktops due to not owning one.
