Thanks -
Open useroptions.ini and go to rendering section:

Hey guys, since we have a few retailer and many happy GT60/70 owner here, let me pick you brains on this:
During the past two weeks I have been on the lookout for notebooks and finally have settled on a GT60-0NE, with the gtx680m. I have been amazed, that since its introduction, the price basically has been a steady 1899 all along, even with the rebates they offer, that is one pricey notebook. The best deal so far I have found at B&H photo-video for 1776.99. Since many of you have bought this laptop in the last few months, could you give me some hints, where I could get an even better deal maybe?
Thanks a lot in advance! -
I think when it came to this purchase I didn't worry about a few hundred dollars worth of difference. I went with Gentech personally because they had excellent reviews and had the Laptop in my hands less than 24 hours after I paid for it. From across the country.... You are making a solid choice with the 0NE model. Just make sure you are comfortable with the reseller you are buying it from. Next month the hundred bucks of savings won't matter compared to the level of support you get from some of these guys.

Thanks for the feedback!
-
Yeah - I think you will definitely be happy with the decision you make and whether it be a standard model or a customized one with better customer service you can't go wrong when choosing an 0ne

Since i was born every one told me that laptops cannot upgrade GPU! They all told me that every GPU in laptop is soldered to it!!!!! Is mine soldered?
I dont know why --_--' ..... For instance when gtx690m releases am i able to upgrade my GPU? Can any computer expert upgrade my GPU? I bought my laptop from "computerupgradeking". And guys does our MSI laptops has no warranty?? Also can i computer expert handle the throttling? And all of these throttling and overclocking GPU will decrease the life of my laptop? And guys when i use MSI afterburner how shall i use it i have only Memory Clock and Core Clock to inc/decrease what should be their ratio will it matter? And if i increase to the top will my GPU burn? if not how can i use MSI AFTERBURNER -
Guys what is "ThrottleStop" is it useful?

The search function of this thread and Google to answer and research these questions in greater depth. It seems you are in a rush with your questions and don't have too much familiarity with hardware and some software. Reading through forums dedicated to those issues you are seeking help with will educate you on the topics and will likely answer your questions. It may be beneficial to you for the speed of resolution you seek.

As you can see i entered this forum and increasing my knowledge i am not in a rush just asking and trying to get to know people were helping and answering me till you show up. The reason this page of the forum is for MSI GT60/70 with GTX680M owners lounge... I am able to ask and share my belief and ignorance among users but people like you are just making things way harder for people like me....

Here is the example if mainboard does not supply or designed to provide enough power to MXM slot then it will not work even you have a 1000W power adapter:

If you find the video card made by different manufacturer then you have to mod the heatsink to match the GPU and VRAM because the video card layout are different, if the heatsink doesn't make proper contact with GPU and VRAM then it will overheat and shuts system down.
Yes if you overclock too high or for too long it will damage your GPU. -
thanks a lot for the reply

I am sorry that you and iceman mistook what I was saying, which was it is easier to find information about x in a thread dedicated to x. Such as if I want to get a tutorial on afterburner / how to use it will be a breeze getting that in a thread dedicated to afterburner (and looking at past posts). I was trying to be helpful and didn't mean for you to read it the wrong way. I don't take the defensive attack personally, its the internet and things are always received as they are meant too be.
-
No worries
I read it wrong and i couldn't find a real solution so i disturbed you guys just wanted learn and web didn't helped so i tried my chance at the forum

I totally understand as I have been there many many times before lol. I found after a while it gets easier to know where to look and how to tweak the search for different items. It gets a lot easier then, though sometimes I am still stumped too.

I am having issues with my Samsung SSD 840 and some games and would like to do a clean install of windows 8 Pro. What is the best way to do that? Also, what are the correct bios settings so I can install it in uefi mode?
The only way I could get it to install was to use legacy mode. Couldn't figure it out
Thanks
Edit: I think i have most of the drivers installed and working except for the touchpad isnt working correctly. I cant use 2 fingers to scroll up, down, left, or right.. I have installed the synaptics drivers multiple times and no luck. -

does anyone have a SSD cache set up in this? I am wondering if I can easily set it up with the stock install... I know I would have to change settings in BIOS to RAID mode but not sure if it will require a fresh install if I want that
-
If your SSD have enough capacity I recommend use it as primary drive and move the rotating drive to secondary slot for storage, it's better that way because SSD will be use as your OS drive and it boots much faster. -
Hi guys, just want to share my excitement:
Ordered my gt-60 barebone with the 680m from Ken at Gentechpc. This might be a well established fact here, but kudos on his patience an support. I went with the i7-3610qm, 120 Gb ssd, 16Gb Ram and of course the beastly nvidia card, with IC-diamond paste. There's no way the CPU will hold the card back, right?
I'm thrilled like a kid on his first trip to a candy store that sells comics and life-size action figures as well...

In certain titles you would get higher FPS with say a 3720qm, but the 3610qm offers the vast majority of the performance for quite a bit less money.
-
Man, with the newer NVidia drivers, I'm topping out at 5950 in 3DMark11. I was getting 6100+ scores prior to updating my drivers. Anyone else see a decline after the driver updates?
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
They don't quite score as high in 3dmark but what about games?
-
Unfortunately I'm not able to play due to some rigorous training. All I can do is run a few benchmarks here and there, haha. I can't help but wanting to continue running more benchmarks until I get a chance to play.
Nothing worse than getting a new toy and not being able to enjoy it, haha. Just scored a 6452, barely pushing the gpu a little. I've decided that I'll stop there, even though everything was running smoothly, and the max temp of 85. -
Hi people, i checked everything in the web tried ever single website but while playing games i face sudden FPS loss...I have checked other websites and comments of people about their GT60 they say amazing performance never had FPS loss i run "BF3" on max settings... I dont figure out on ultra my bf3 has 30 fps that is because its a laptop? I dont know if my GT60 has the best performance what is your comments about your performances as i can see its amazing?
-
Thanks Meaker,
Are you referring to actual CPU-GPU bottlenecking or CPU-intensive games like Skyrim? I know that the higher the resolution the more burden the card bears, so it is a relative question. I plan to play on native res. so on fullHD. -
-
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Well "everything on max" might be a bad idea, turning the odd setting down or two will have no visible impact on image quality but greatly increase performance.
-
-
-
I have searched more do you guys use MSI AFTERBURNER and THrottleSTOP to increase performance... And if yes how much do you increase for afterburner?
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Well you can pretty much max out the core in afterburner with the stock bios but your core speed may start to fluctuate.

Hello Everyone,
This is my first post on this forum.
For months i have been considering the MSI GT 60 One-403, i see it has a good number of positive reviews. A couple of my conerns when reading through this forum is that many people talk about OC'ing and changing the BIOS. On this end i am pretty clueless on how to do it, i guess 2 concerns on this would be :
1. If i don't mod those things at all, is this still a pretty beast of a computer.
2. is it difficult to mod those 2 things.
I'm pretty much to the point i would like to buy this laptop but being about 1900 i want to be sure on some things before dropping the coin for it. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
1. Certantly.
2. Once you know how, not at all.
