Yea I haven't even contacted them back I'm instead venting on here! I am trying not to be impatient but its so damn hard when I know whats just around the corner! Aww I cant wait. I've read more reviews and watched more youtube videos of the GT60 then I know what to do with. Also the fact that I spend so much money the longer it sits in the worse it feels! I told them to charge me the whole damn amount on day 1 just to get it over with but they cant charge your card til production starts. I know in the end it will all be worth the wait. I thought I was going to have it by Friday thats all.

Question for you guys..what gaming mouse do yall use? Im looking to purchase a new one and can't decide which one to get. I know it really is personal preference mostly but for FPS's like BF3 and Black Ops II which ones do you prefer?

If money isn't a problem, I think Saitek Cyborg RAT series will satisfy your hunger for a good gaming mouse :D

Hi everyone, just got myself the GT60 OND. Only problem I have is the touch button for the keyboard backlight. It is very difficult to activate the button, I have to rest my entire upper finger for it to recognise the input, unlike the other buttons where i can just use the tip of my finger. Is this a known and common problem or do I have a defective set?

There are protective plastic films placed on the touch bars, have you tried removing them? :)

The Win8 models doesn't seem to have throttling issue since I don't have to use throttleStop, I can OC the video card using MSI Afterburner out of the box.

After careful consideration I have decided to cancel my 11/12 order for GT60 249US with XoticPC and placed a new order with Gentech. Due to the lack of communication I received and hearing that people who placed there order on 10/12 still have not received there I could no longer wait for something to happen. I never even was given a returned phone call from my sales person or email as promised. Reading the experiences and reviews on NBR about Gentech and Ken I was interested in seeing if they were in fact true. After speaking with Ken this afternoon for awhile he is a good dude and was honest with me and respectful of my money too! Being in business sales myself I appreciate that and it gained my sale immediately. I now know that I actually have something to look forward to in the next week! Thanks so much for your help Ken! Go Gentech! :D

Hurrah. Amazon has the 0NE-249US model in stock. My order is submitted.

BTW. When I ordered my laptop 4 hours ago there were 8 laptops in stock. 1 left right now. This is why it's hard to get a hold of.

I been all set to get a sager...then I saw the Force 16F3 which is from barebones gt60...I think I might have to rethink my plan..and xotic pc can do force models in parts. so might be able to build more of laptop..just wish/hope I can get it shiped in more parts then just a shell and plug in all the stuff..this laptop just seems to fit what I want and for price..

1800$, that being said I am looking for pretty much a reliable laptop, matte screen, 2 hard drives, a video card that smokes the current games and even year or 2 down line still preforms decently, and as I said in previous post, I want to put together as much as laptop as I can, after 15+ years of building pc's a laptop would be fun change of pace, and the FORCE 16F3 (GT60 barebones) is one of the computers Xotic might be able to do just that, hopefully I can build enough of it..

If you can up it to $1899 I would order the GT60 249US from Gentech  Will be worth it man. I like the extras you get with this one over the barebones and the warranty alone is worth it. I recommend you carefully consider your reseller before purchasing too. Some are better than others.. :)

between, Gentech, Xotic, and powernotebooks..all seem good, have talked bunch with xoticpc and powernotebooks. all have great customer service...which is always key for me for a company
the extras on that one, ie blueray burner, dont need, nor do I need a laptop to come with windows, since I got an extra windows 8 cd key, from when I purchased the $15 "upgrade"

Well it comes with Windows 8 from MSI so you won't be able to get a discount for that unless you do the barebones. And you can take the blueray off if you want and save some money that way. I would suggest going with the one I stated earlier but its totally up to you. I am the same way customer service has to be a key thing for me. If I don't have a good experience I don't buy. I noticed you are coming from a macbook pro. I have a few macs myself I love them. But of course they just arent good for many things, like gaming! But they are pretty good machines, just too $ for what you get hardware wise. I think youll be very happy with a GT60 whether you end up getting it all together or barebones. :)

I am typing on my new GT60! As promised by Ken it was here 45 mins before deadline. It is 10x better than I even expected. The 95% gamut screen may even be better than my macbook pro retina. It is amazing! The text appears so vivid and clear I have never seen a laptop quite like it. On normal the fans are not loud at all. The keyboard is amazing I love the feel of the keys and I am yet to miss a key. THe body of the GT60 feels sturdy and strong. I will be downloading black ops II right now and will keep yall updated as to how it goes! Im so happy! Thanks Ken and Gentech! A++++!

Thanks! Got 10 more minutes left on the Black Ops II install, cant wait to see how it runs. After that I gotta go out to lunch and than Ill be back to test some more things. Only thing that I havent been able to get to work as of yet is the camera. I am not sure if I need to install drivers for it or maybe mess with settings. Not a big deal at all tho everything else is working great. I love the keyboard I cant stress that enough I think the keys are amazing. I don't think im going to run into much lag seeing I got 24gb rams as I am downloading multiple things as once, doing black ops install and surfing web and runs smooth. Kind of wishing that I had spent the extra money and got a 240gb solid state instead of 120gb but this will do. I couldnt be happier. Thanks

Wow well that was god damn depressing..I am so pissed pos black Ops II cd was messed up. I installed disc one and then got to disc 2 and put it in like 20 times and it kept saying mass effect II? I was like isnt this black ops II? So after messing around with it for 20 mins I googled it. Activision Community: Disc 2 Error apparently the cds they made are messed up and I have to download it directly off stream and get it. Well the computer worked perfectly and black ops II didnt! Oh well not I have to wait til after lunch to install. . Im going to be back in an hour or two. Will let yalll know how it goes. Anyone else get this screwed up copy of black ops II? This is bs im glad I didnt wait overnight to get it to get home and have this happen. Id have gone nuts!

The camera doesn't need a driver, enable it by pressing Fn+F6. It should work in programs that require a camera like Skype. :)

Wow been playing on the new GT60 for the last 7 hours straight lol. Been on borderland 2 for the last 2 hours it pretty cool game. This computer is a f'n beast! It plays all games on highest settings like butter. The 95% gamut screen looks amazing and the colors are vivid and bright. I am so glad I got windows 7 Pro and dont have to deal with that nonsense windows 8. Everything is just amazing on this computer so far. And I can not stress enough how much I love this keyboard. Ken and Gentech are A++++, he was able to build my computer and have it shipped to me in 2 days. I am just amazed by the service. Thanks again! Can't waIt to install some more games tomorrow and see how this baby handles. Got the razer mamba mouse tonight and lovin that too. Very happy!

EDIT: Just went back a page and did see that you paid for overnight shipping.

Best $140 I ever spent :chatterbox: It got picked up in Cali at 830pm my time and then hopped a plane to KY then to NC, then an hour drive to my house and made it by 930am. 13 hours total..bought the same speed Gentech can put a laptop together! Meanwhile Xoticpc is still trying to figure out how to cancel my order from last Tuesday lol. I prob wouldnt have gotten it til next thursday if I had stuck with regular ground shipping. I took the day off work today to play all day and this weekend so its worth it. I am still pretty pissed about my copy of black ops II. Thats bull how could a company put the wrong damn game in the box. Doesnt even make sense to me. But ill be returning to bestbuy tomorrow I downloaded it off steam.

I have the Win 8 version. Of course it feels weird using windows without its trademark start menu, but after a few days I think I actually love the new Windows xD
All games work fine on Win 8 so far, so little complaints here.
About the new Metro-style start screen... Hmm I personally like the new refreshing look, hahahaha...
Besides, if you really need the start menu, you can just install Classic Shell from here.

I don't think the fan on the MSI is any more intrusive than other brands of gaming machine.

By having one fan you also avoid the issue of clashing fan noises where with 2 fans they can harmonise when spinning at certain speeds and create an annoying tone.

Its quite easy to describe the noise of the fan.

    GT60/70: WHOOOOOOOSH

    Many other brands: whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine

I actually thinks the MSI sound is pleasant and soothing. And I thought it would be noisy when I bought it :)

Got a question I tryed to do a benchmark lastnite with futuremark and it was very slow was getting like 10fps and got a 1200 score. I am assuming it was using the Intel card and not my gtx680. How do I get it to use the correct card it did show the 680 but obv wasn't using it. What am I doing wrong?

How long was the production time on your GT60s?

I was thinking about going Alienware, but after being slightly reassured about the fans on the GT60 and seeing that 20 day production time on the M17x...

The great thing about the futuremark benchmarks is that once run you can upload a result which gives lots of nice info about the run that we can look and compare to figure out what is happening.

You can check the activity of your GPU yourself by running MSI afterburner in the background and checking the utilisation and clock graphs (a 2nd display means you could look at it real time during the benchmark too, just be aware with this is that due to the low resolution of the benchmark it tends to shift windows open to the right).
