Could have a bad outcome at the end.
-
@mandrake
is it stock config? -
Yes except it has the 320GB drive and not the 250GB. So $1049 vs $999.
-
Lol, I guess as long as you don't post or tell others to post your links, it's ok. Not your fault if other people link stuff without asking you first. (not that I'm blaming them or anything)
-
If anyone wants to sell theirs PM me or send me an email at [email protected] I've been looking at this laptop for a while now. Can't believe I missed this deal.
-
i cant believe i lost that deal either
-
Exlint, every time I try and load my account at the dell website, it errors out. Anyone else getting that problem, so I can stop being paranoid?
-- Reloaded a few times, and got it to work.
Order Date: 5/15/2009
Order Status: In Production
Estimated Delivery: 6/15/2009
This wait, is going to drive me crazy. -
oh thats good to hear...
-
Hardly, merely helping someone out.
I'm not breaking any rules, and he is definitely not advertising. It's not the first time a user has linked to another user's sale as a recommendation.
-
Yeah, lol
-
$319USD shipped? If so, you stole my CPU!
-
Lol I ordered mine yesterday-- estimated delivery is the 5th, but I'm sure I'll get it before then... -
LMAO, when its a deal, you gotta jump on it and ask questions later
I was thinking you were the seller
There were some other OEMs for around $400 on there, but gone today. -
I knew who sold them at $400, but I wouldn't get them as he didn't get any feedbacks for selling CPUs.
-
yeha i dont trust that much on ppl with 0 feedback
-
me either .... i got screwed over once
-
At 5 am, I got the email. Order canceled.
-
My order is still not canceled, still "Order Processing" though.
-
same for me....only mine was at 5:12am..
-
my online account still shows it as in production...
-
I just called modifications .. and the rep was like .. um .. no .. it's in production .. must have been a mistake email. It's also still listed under my dell account page.
Now i'm REALLY confused.
I called again, and got the same rep. DOH!. Anyways, she sent me another confirmation email. I'm skeptical, but somewhat reassured. Or more confused, one of those.
Looking back, I also got the cancel email at 5:12 am exactly. -
Confusing indeed, I'm curious to see if everyone else orders go through.
-
I got the cancellation email also... this morning at 5:12 My account information still shows in production and I called and spoke to customer service and cancellations that both told me it was still in production....Everyone is not on the same page over at Dell keep our fingers crossed.
-
Mass email along with Mass confusion , Hope you guys get your machines and those were just a mistake . Good luck .
-
im hoping mine is still in production..my account shows it as in production with the same ship date of 5/28/09...
who knows now..i am going to call soon. -
If I were the reconfiguration dept I'd ask the sales department whether they have charged all of us who are still waiting for the laptop. If your credit card is still not charged yet, then your order might have been canceled. For those of you who make their life harder, like getting 320GB 7200RPM or some rare configuration, it obviously will delay the shipment date, then your chance of getting 9800M GT SLis they gave up SO much for is going to be way slimmer. I am the person who only made the order for basic setup with 9800M GT SLI, so what's up in the air is how many these 9800M GT SLis they STILL have.
For sure, they are actively doing what they can to cancel all the orders of ours. I just found they were idiotic for not setting up the limit per customer so some would not be able to get 20 units in a single credit card. -
Got my cancellation email at 5:12 too. I think I may have to do some calling and see what the deal is. Not a good sign though.
I don't know about anyone else, but mine is showing as cancelled in Order Status. Oh well, I tried. -
mine is now doing the same...
-
Too bad Dell's website is sucking right now, so I can't really check for an update...
-
my rep told me that any order that got through with the cheap prices..most of them have been cancelled. "marketing error" they say..
soo good job to the ones who received it.
they told me if i wanted the configuration i ordered, i would have to pay 2650 before tax/shipping...but they could discount it by $50...
i told them, why would i accept a $50 discount, after you just bumped the price up by $700 or so...does not compute. -
Did your credit card get charged yet? I think mine got charged and I didn't receive any emails for order cancellation.
-
my cc was not charged, but it was verified i think.
i think they cancel depending on how much they would lose on the deal..for me they would of lost 700 before tax/shipping. -
You got the 320GB hard drive and T9500 as far as I remember...?
-
the upgrades i chose were:
t9300

-
mine got cancelled today so i got mandrakes.....still better than what I could get from dell now and no tax.....thanks man
-
Now THAT's a god profit. Taking off $90 fees, and the shipping, and if you paid $1100 , that's a roughly $300 profit, BUT don't forget it's eBay and Paypal, you will be fully done with the deal 45 days after it's done today.
-
Thanks. I'm going to FedEx in about 20 minutes. I'll email you later.
-
Of course. Sealed unopened box. Hard to screw that one up.
-
Thanks Can't wait
-
If anyone is interested I've got a system for $1500 brand new closed in the box. As usual warranty less, but your saving a butt load o' money. Its got the x9000, 9800 GT's 1GB, 4gb ram, 250Gb hard drive, etc.. If anyone is interested send me a pm.
-
how can it be new but not have warranty?
-
It being new meaning never opened
. Shall I change it to Brand Old XPS M1730 in box? Had it for a while, I thought I'd bring it up to the people here who seem to want one.
-
This has to be at least the 4th one you've posted on NBR.
-
All new in box, no real service tag available, and no warranty
>_>
I was going to buy one but lack of service tag on a NIB system is meh. -
No service tag means the system board was replaced. Since the service tag represents the whole system if someone buys just a refurb system board from Dell it won't come with a service tag. Doesn't mean anything's wrong with it but it does mean it's a refurb.
-
OR...
1. It means there might be some problems which are hardly discovered.
2. It means Dell doesn't wanna lose any more $$ for warranty and repairs.
3. It means people who want to take them will also be prepared for taking risks. -
I'm sure this is a bit silly to ask on a notebook forum, but is it possible to configure a desktop w/ similar or better specs for about the same price (around a grand)? If so, what and where?
-
If you build it yourself you can do much better than the specs of this laptop for $1000.
