I haven't gotten any of the packs yet, although I'll probably get the metal pack at some point (given that's my primary style of playing). I bought it very lightly used for $250 too.![]()

Boss GT-8 owns the Pod series. Seriously, i own the Boss and my boss has the Pod. I prefer mine
. I love that thing to death.
-
I heard the Pod is better for hard rock/metal amp models, which is my primary style of playing anyhow.
-
The GT8 is a nice pedal, but useless for me. I only "jam" at home, so I don't really have the need for any kind of serious floor board. The studio is where I keep all of my stuff, including all 19 amps. (One of which being an original '73 Crate 2x12)
And Yoyo, is that an Ibanez Iceman in your signature? One of the worst and weakest tempered guitars I have ever had the unfortunate act of playing. -
she likes to wear her hair down like that for me.
hey man,
i really have no knowledge on guitars and stuff like that, but its great to see different kinds of enthusiasts here.
yur collection and studio looks bad @$$.
-
Im sure she does
lol
-
Thanks man. That's actually not my studio, that's just my "jam room" at my old residence.
Now, at my new place, I store about 16 guitars, and a few amps, just to make me feel at home. Like I said, maybe I can grab some shots of the studio. Now that I'm there 6 1/2 days a week, I don't see why I can't grab some pictures.
-
I dig that case. That's a nice setup, Kxu.
-
Is that a 24in Sceptre LCD? if so I have that exact one and I love it.
-
I use amps distortion, not pedals. I use the pedal board for the best effects on the planet....
haha, the iceman is one of the best ibanezes ever made. Are you sure the one you played wasn't one the many cheap ripoffs? The real ibanez icemans are amazing. Paul gilbert uses them. -
It looks like it. I also have a 24" Sceptre, the X24WG model. The color quality is pretty awful, but it is one of the cheapest 1920x1200 lcd's available. I bought it primarily for the screen real estate, and it fits my needs perfectly; I could care less about poor color reproduction.
-
Well, to each his own, but I've played thousands and thousands of guitars, over the course of 10 years. I played a custom Iceman at NAMM '07, and was far from impressed. I guess when you haven't dabbled into high-end temperament, it's hard to understand what I'm seeing/hearing in the guitar.
On a side note, I met Paul Gilbert at NAMM, great guy, and fantastic guitar player. He was there with Audio Technica, so his booth was far from mine. (I was there with Sonor Drums) -
I can't see the picture!
-
Yeah $300 for 24in 1920x1200 is not bad. I personally use it when gaming at home on my dell, but then again I do alot more work then gaming these days.
-
Wow that makes my 3 guitars sound wimpy i love the studio room! i have a pretty cool extra room i might post pics of later where all my music gear is, that is if you guys can get past the fact that this is a computer room thread haha
-
Are you a rep for Sonor Drums?
-
Woah...KGann's..pic of his *studio* that is simply *AWESOME*
Yes, and onmound16...you be sure to post those pic's!!! That would be nice to see!

Thanks for the comments, Yep, its the 24 inch sceptre, I got it from costco, it is a great monitor. the color was pretty bad at first, but i adjusted everything from my Nvidia control panel and it looks awesome. It was a great price, about 200 bucks less than the competition. My case is a Tuniq 3, from newegg, its a great looking case and is very nice.
-
Yeah its more then enough for my needs.
-
Oh, i've played many high end guitars. Believe me.
I think it's ironic that you like the Pod's, but not the iceman series. lol. Pod = Digital, iceman = classic -
Well, there's no since in arguing over opinion. Yes, I do like the Pod, but like I have stated, I've only used it at home. I've never actually tried to record with it. Just a side note, and to mean no offense, but are you familiar with Equal Temperament? Do you understand how it works? If so, you would see the flaw most see in the Iceman. But, to many, ET isn't a big deal, which is fine.
As for Sonor, I have a 6 year endorsement with them, so I attended NAMM '07 with them to premier the new SQ2's (which I play), and NAMM '08 with Paiste Cymbals. -
As you said, each to his own.
ET isn't a problem for me at all.... -
Yeah, a lot of people don't worry about it, and it's not much of a problem until you get into harmonics (major/minor), or key syncopation.
Sorry for thread hi-jack! -

wow, nice audio equipment!

Unknown force: Love the laptop, always have been a sucker for the FX series. I also like the simplicity of your setup.
yang: Love the case, reminds me of my shuttle but on steroids and porbably ALOT better cooling. -
I use the NEC as TV, just happened to be on since I just built that Antec box as a file server and was copying files. Fry's had the case for $30 and Newegg had a BE-2400 for $30 and a PSU for $30 so I decided to separate my storage drives from my desktop since I don't leave it on all the time and it is a bit of hassle to turn it on just to access some files. -
Dude, that's a GIANT screen, what size?
-
it's a 30 inch, that is a sweet setup, I wish I could find a dell 2007 for cheap
very very sweet setup! -
I got mine off Ebay for pretty cheap on Ebay with 4 yr warranty. It was $170 I think. Having a 20 next to a 30 is highly recommended. Add another and you are in heaven lol.
-
BTW I was interested in that pocket amp, A quick google search and I found how to build it here for all those that are interested

Woah! Nice....setup!
