The only compact desktop keyboard that I have ever seen is the Deck 82-key keyboard. I actually own one myself and use it as my primary keyboard. It is very high quality and has a quite unique feel to it- I have never liked the feel of any keyboard nearly as much as I like this one.

The downside is that it is very expensive, costing approximately 100 USD. I have never once regretted the purchase, but that doesn't mean that this keyboard isn't for everyone.

EDIT: Here is a link to their website if you are interested- http://www.deckkeyboards.com/

If you want a keyboard that is designed more like that of a notebook, you could always get an Apple keyboard. Those keyboards are basically taken from the MacBook and put in their own enclosure. You would just have to get used to not seeing a Windows key.....unless you use a Mac.

    It's a Wacom 21ux Cost me £1300

I know, yay for late reply

mahtor is named so because a few years ago I had a dodgy ata66 cable and the Maxtor 120Gb which is now in my Xbox1 showed up in the bios as a "MaHToR120" in the bios due to comms errors with the hard drive controller. Since then my current PC has been named Mahtor.

Well I have a MS Comfort Curve 2000 at home, used it for most of the summer so I was used to the curved design. I wish it was more curved actually (like the MS one). But I quite like the actual surface curve. easier to reach for the keys. Good for someone with short fingers like myself. :D

    Thanks Cin. :p

LOL. I was waiting for someone to mention that. Basically, I've been playing the game for 3+ years, and at one point I played it quite often. The new editions came with in-game extras, and I picked most of them up cheap. I got them like this:

    1. The City of Heroes Collector's DVD edition (my first copy) - bought it as my first foray into the game. Came with special running powers.

    2. City of Villains (regular copy, got it when it was released) - this was the first available copy when the new game came out.

    3. City of Villains Collector's DVD edition (got it for $15 on clearance) - I got this because it came with special capes, helmets, and some other stuff that was only available on this copy.

    4. CoH/CoV Good vs. Evil edition (Bought it for $20 when it came out) - Again this one not only came with running powers, a travel boost, and some costume things, but it integrated both games.

Yes, I do get a bit obsessive when I get into collector mode. :)

Seeing all these nice setups makes me miss my home office. Now that I share this tiny room with my wife and her desk I'm starting to realize I need to remodel the setup. As of now I cant even use my home office and have to use our dining room table (the wife hates that, as do I).

I bought it. It's an Ikea Lack shelf in black brown. It was $20. Matches my desk, also from Ikea, which is a Frederik.

I'm thinking about buying one of the longer Lack shelves for along my bed, but I have this fear of shelves falling on my head while I'm sleeping. I had that happen once and it knocked the crap out of me. Granted, it was a cheap shelf that I hung poorly myself, but still. Can't shake the fear of getting cracked on the melon. :D

i used to work for an independent company, that handled all of ikea's home deliveries and assemblies. me and my crew did the whole showroom at the houston location. the provided hardware is kind of cheap so u HAVE to install things properly. make sure u seat yur anchors correctly - this is a huge factor if u want some shelf security.

i have the same fear with ceiling fans for some reason...like when i leave mine on at night, i think the blades will come off somehow and hit me in my pretty face. :( anyways u have a really clean setup :D

I figured it would be Ikea, I really need to get there. :D I wanted to get the Frederik desk, but at the time the nearest Ikea was two states away. The desk I have now I really don't like.

Yeah, I made my brother-in-law hang it with a laser level, and he did use anchors in the wall. He's good at that type of thing, I'm not, which is why when I hung that cheap shelf I got at Christmas Tree Shops, I ended up with a knot on my head. :p

Yup, it came with the collector's edition. Which is starting to go on sale everywhere, now that it's been awhile.

This is my current setup in my dorm room. I usually rearrange every few months. I swapped my black keyboard from the 1420 to the 1520 but don't like it as much on the bigger laptop.

Below the desk is the Optiplex 'server', 2 hard drives (one main drive one for backup), my UPS and surround sound receiver. And the last picture is of my Model M keyboards.
