The only compact desktop keyboard that I have ever seen is the Deck 82-key keyboard. I actually own one myself and use it as my primary keyboard. It is very high quality and has a quite unique feel to it- I have never liked the feel of any keyboard nearly as much as I like this one.
The downside is that it is very expensive, costing approximately 100 USD. I have never once regretted the purchase, but that doesn't mean that this keyboard isn't for everyone.
EDIT: Here is a link to their website if you are interested- http://www.deckkeyboards.com/

If you want a keyboard that is designed more like that of a notebook, you could always get an Apple keyboard. Those keyboards are basically taken from the MacBook and put in their own enclosure. You would just have to get used to not seeing a Windows key.....unless you use a Mac.

Some really nice set ups these last few pages, keep 'em coming!
-
It's a Wacom 21ux Cost me £1300
I know, yay for late reply
mahtor is named so because a few years ago I had a dodgy ata66 cable and the Maxtor 120Gb which is now in my Xbox1 showed up in the bios as a "MaHToR120" in the bios due to comms errors with the hard drive controller. Since then my current PC has been named Mahtor. -
Updated set up with my new logitech WAVE.
-
johnny, what is it like typing on that keyboard?
I mean its like curvy, thats got to take sometime to get used to.
K-TRON -
It looks good JJ...I like's the new keyboard!

Well I have a MS Comfort Curve 2000 at home, used it for most of the summer so I was used to the curved design. I wish it was more curved actually (like the MS one). But I quite like the actual surface curve. easier to reach for the keys. Good for someone with short fingers like myself.
Thanks Cin.
-
The Curve looks pretty sexy, actually.
-
nice setup J.T. ... still using XP?
-
MAn that keyboard is my Fav! but its too expensive and very hard to find.
I am using MS Curve 2000 ergonomic... its water proof..so i can clean it under running tap water. -
Yeah I really like the wave keyboard. Im still thinking of replacing my saitek for it.
-
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
Sweet, I like that keyboard too. Nice setup JT. I see the Wave everywhere around here, BB, FS, Staples etc... I have the MS Comfort Curve 2000 and the Deathadder, sweet combo!
-
Yup! still XP!
Also I have the comfort curve 2000 at home too. Excellent keyboard for the price. Which I couldnt bring over to Canada with my because its alittle on the big side. I saw the WAVE was on sale for $39.99...BOUGHT! -
$10 off original price? Good stuff.
-
You should let it die and start using MacOS X!
-
I ve rearranged my desk a bit and I ve got some new hardware in the waiting time for my Sager.
-
Do you just tilt your head towards your Asus while typing on that keyboard?
-
haha, yeah. It might seem uncomfortable but its really doable. G15 is a pretty big keyboard, unfortunately, thats why it doesnt fit in front of my laptop.
-
nice set up man. we got the same cooler and speakers

I moved into a new apartment, changed some hardware, added a shelf. Though I'd share, since I love this thread!
My shelf looks crooked in that last one, but I swear it's not. I made my brother-in-law hang it with a laser level, I'm OCD about that sort of thing.
-
I like a LOT!
-
May I ask why you have every single retail box of CoX that has ever come out, like ever? xD

LOL. I was waiting for someone to mention that. Basically, I've been playing the game for 3+ years, and at one point I played it quite often. The new editions came with in-game extras, and I picked most of them up cheap. I got them like this:
1. The City of Heroes Collector's DVD edition (my first copy) - bought it as my first foray into the game. Came with special running powers.
2. City of Villains (regular copy, got it when it was released) - this was the first available copy when the new game came out.
3. City of Villains Collector's DVD edition (got it for $15 on clearance) - I got this because it came with special capes, helmets, and some other stuff that was only available on this copy.
4. CoH/CoV Good vs. Evil edition (Bought it for $20 when it came out) - Again this one not only came with running powers, a travel boost, and some costume things, but it integrated both games.
Yes, I do get a bit obsessive when I get into collector mode.
-
very nice and clean setup.
-
Yeah, haha. I quit playing that game over a year ago. It stole my life. I did have this awesome SG going though. Killed me to quit.
-
very inspiring setups!
-
Real Cool setup, Marek. Is that a network card in your third shot or something else?
-
I like how you rearranged the room! It looks very nice (and roomy)~! Also by sliding glass doors, to boot = more sunshine! LOL

Naw, that's the Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook Express Card.
-
Seeing all these nice setups makes me miss my home office. Now that I share this tiny room with my wife and her desk I'm starting to realize I need to remodel the setup. As of now I cant even use my home office and have to use our dining room table (the wife hates that, as do I).
-
That shelf looks great. Did you make it yourself or buy it?
-

I bought it. It's an Ikea Lack shelf in black brown. It was $20. Matches my desk, also from Ikea, which is a Frederik.
I'm thinking about buying one of the longer Lack shelves for along my bed, but I have this fear of shelves falling on my head while I'm sleeping. I had that happen once and it knocked the crap out of me. Granted, it was a cheap shelf that I hung poorly myself, but still. Can't shake the fear of getting cracked on the melon.
-
i used to work for an independent company, that handled all of ikea's home deliveries and assemblies. me and my crew did the whole showroom at the houston location. the provided hardware is kind of cheap so u HAVE to install things properly. make sure u seat yur anchors correctly - this is a huge factor if u want some shelf security.
i have the same fear with ceiling fans for some reason...like when i leave mine on at night, i think the blades will come off somehow and hit me in my pretty face.
anyways u have a really clean setup
-
Where did you get that GTAIV license plate? It is awesome! Did it come with the collectors edition or something?
-
I figured it would be Ikea, I really need to get there.
I wanted to get the Frederik desk, but at the time the nearest Ikea was two states away. The desk I have now I really don't like.

Yeah, I made my brother-in-law hang it with a laser level, and he did use anchors in the wall. He's good at that type of thing, I'm not, which is why when I hung that cheap shelf I got at Christmas Tree Shops, I ended up with a knot on my head.
Yup, it came with the collector's edition. Which is starting to go on sale everywhere, now that it's been awhile. -
Those speakers are slick!
How are they working out for you?

This is my current setup in my dorm room. I usually rearrange every few months. I swapped my black keyboard from the 1420 to the 1520 but don't like it as much on the bigger laptop.
Below the desk is the Optiplex 'server', 2 hard drives (one main drive one for backup), my UPS and surround sound receiver. And the last picture is of my Model M keyboards.

Nice computer case.
-
ICKY!! lol
-
No, man; that case is the shili-iznits! Just the thought of it bursting into flame makes it all the more awesome.
-
i think you should add a side window to it.
-
yeah, cut a hole out and slap some saran wrap over it.
-
Then tape an LED fan on it!!!
Wow this is post 1500 on this thread...
