Mainly using the dell monitor for foobar, outlook, firefox... really handy as it fits most most documents and web pages

but it is a TN panel monitor... viewing angle is terrible, specially putting it sideway... however... it is a secondary monitor... doesn't really matter to me

Well, it look's cool! That's too bad the viewing isn't so great...But if your using as secondary..that would work!

Your other pics, are nice also! I only have one LCD..and that's attached to my lappy! LOL

Mousemats always get in the way for me, that one would get in the way even worse.

Although you can tell on my desk where my mouse has been... the wood laminate is discoloured

I was going to ask if that mousepad was comfortable... it looked like a unique wrist rest (I'm in need of an excellent wrist rest) but then I saw what it was and I couldn't imagine using it. How would i explain it?

Wow you're the only person i've seen so far who has bought that new flaming red Qosmio... the styling is a little too flamboyant for my tastes lol. Btw, what kind of desktop pc is that?

 

its just a custom made one i got about 4 years ago.

pentium 4, 1gb ram, xp pro etc.

im dual monitoring my laptop, as the desktop is having some problems.

i also love the look of the qosmio when its mint, but looks bad on some angles.

 

Wowsa! Lot's of pictures! They show your room well....look's good! You have some nice stuff there, your screens are all really nice ~ and I like the red in your notebook!

 

I finally got around to taking pics of the new desk. The room it self isn't quite finished yet, we are still getting pictures framed and doing a little touch up painting. But as far as my computer set up, this should be it for the main things. I might make it more of a desktop set up around christmas with a nice 24" LCD monitor, but until then here she is.

I've never had a corner desk..but your set-up looks good, as with your electronics!

I'm really happy i went with the corner desk, I have so much room compared to the old hamy-down desk. And I'm a bit torn as far as what christmas might bring, I think i can get a decent monitor from my dad who just upgraded. So between a 24" LCD and a new TV for the room is still up in the air.

 

It looks like a nice desk! I have an area in my house that a corner desk would look really cool, if I ever got one!

Well, perhaps you will get both a 24" LCD and a new TV! :yes:

you can also get a combination monitor/tv. thats what I have, but mine is only a 22 inch. very nice though. 1080p, digital tv tuner, hdmi, etc

 

The way my room is set up i wouldn't want to do that. My bed is right next to my desk, so it wouldn't be ideal. What i want is to have a TV on my dresser which you can see in the very far left of the pic. Excuse the mess by the way.

My parents didn't like the idea of a corner desk when i was first kicking around the idea of getting a new desk, when they saw this one the idea grew on them. But the way my set up is now its just so "cozy" I feel like i can get a lot accomplished done because i'm comfortable. And yeah it's a possibility to get both, and if i only get one, i'll get the other by February, so I'm prioritizing.

 

Mess...I don't see a mess! LOL...pickup that room! ha ha kidding.

Well, it's nice cuz it's in the corner, and seemingly gives more room!

And, so if you only get one, say the LCD Monitor...perhaps like you said, the other by February..really not too far off

A corner desk would be wonderful. I'm also one of those people who needs a lot of workspace without having to move my chair or reach to other parts of the desk. With a corner desk, turn, and you're there. I blame my desk for my lack of productivity.

Gonna post my setup real soon, only problem, i cant get my acer to show up on my tv. I connect the HDMI, go to HMDI input on TV, then FN+F5 to the Tv display on my laptop. But then it only shows a 800 * 600 res picture. Help me please.

TV is a 52in Sony Bravia LCD 1080p

 

mine does that too, cant you just change the resolution where you would normally change it on the computer (right click and personalize) mine resets back to 800x600 whenever i connect it.

Heck, my Comp. Room looked worse that this at times. No matter how many times I cleaned up, it would be messy again after three days.

Cin the hour glass and the rum punch make the set up... It's classy, I like it.

 

Well thank you! When my friends come over, they try and get me to crack open that Rum Punch...so far I've withheld!

The hour glass is pretty cool..if you were able to see it up close, it's really unique and ornate!
