Im in the process of moving to a new apartment so my computer room is lackluster right now, I can however give you a sneek peek of what im staring at all night when im at work.

Even more lackluster and boring but ill have a Computer room pic up soon
-
Just send over the gift certificate and the room should look a bit cleaner.
-
ahh spent already....too bad
-
Doesn't look so bad??
Well, post your computer room when you can!
Cin -
lol the only saving grace is my laptop. The computer room will be up as soon as i get into the new apt and get unpacked and all. Still wont be near as elaborate as some of these others. I am getting rid of most my furniture before the move and starting fresh so to speak.
-
Lol you can use that GC for something then

I spent my Amazon gift certificate on a new green laser pen. Pretty cool thing.
Too bad it's illegal in the U.S. (5mV>). D'oh! -
I built a 150mW blu-ray one, it burns matches

You sure? Last I checked there was no legal limit but just there are illegal things you can do with it. Example its a Felony to point a laser pointer at a plane while it is in flight.
I was going to get one of those OMG ultra laser pointers back in the day and passed because it was a bit too expensive for any real worth I would get out of it.
This is where I was going to get it from: http://www.wickedlasers.com/more-lasers/_300mWover.html
Those guys sell supposedly the brightest flashlight in the world too. 4100 lumens, its like a spot light in your hand. -
Yeah its illegal (hence me having to pull a diode out of a drive lol). You can check out dealextreme.com and read the little text:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12804
"United States Customers Only: due to new regulations enforced by the US FDA and PayPal, orders of >5mW lasers units shipped to the United States are no longer accepted. Orders that were previously accepted and unshipped will be cancelled and refunded to customers. This affects United States orders only." -

What's ironic is that I got mine from Amazon, I believe from a company who distributes lasers in California.
-
I've got a flashlight that has an illegal flashing function that can blind. Getting through the goddam Sydney customs was very tense indeed.
-
I like the room but i like the golf bag and the gibson best! I have a '95 gibson sg special and titleist 695mb irons.

Just bought myself a new glass desk at OfficeMax. Was pricier than I expected but from what I was looking at Staples and OfficeDepot.. I think I got one heck of a bargain.
I'll be sure post a picture of it once I get it all assembled and when I get my basement cleaned. I have nearly 60 boxes lying around along with thousands of computer parts just sitting on the floor.
BTW, I finally got a new computer chassis. Been running my computer without one for almost a month and a half. I'll be sure to post a picture of that as well.

^waiting for your pics

@ Alienized--Great room there. That's pretty much what I want my dream room to look like.....spacious L-shaped desk & separate areas for the desktop & lappy
-
Here's my setup right now. The laptop is elevated because its been running hot lately and I haven't decided on a cool pad yet.
-
Looks really good Alienized.
Which wall mount are you using? -
Thanks
I looked at a few different ones and ended up getting one from "Premier Mounts" its well built, sturdy and easy to install. The model number is AM200, bought it at SEARS, believe Circuit City wanted $200 for something along the same line, this cost me $129. -
A vacuum cleaner may help.
My mother manages to clog up her laptops with a lot of dust pretty quickly - don't ask me how - I in contrast generally have a clean laptop...
Open one of two flaps and carfully vaccuum it - but if you are unhappy with the idea, or worried about static, etcetera, don't do it!! -
here is my new setup ive inherited a few things and got some good Christmas presents

I had one of those desks, and i have to say, great use of putting everything to cram in there.
-
Just tried that out and it seemed to clear some stuff out. My fan is making a strange noise now I might add. Thanks for the suggestion
-
-
What racing games you play with that wheel, can I assume Grid is one of them? I gotta post my set up as soon as I get my room cleaned up.
-
Hmm...
Our old Asus fan stated to make a noise out of nowhere - when I took the laptop apart - I figured out what it was, but not how it happened.
The fan was touching the "casing" - but that would have meant it had grown ??? ...
Hmm...
Try the hardware section to figure out where the problem lies!
(new thread maybe) -
Oh..your room is very sweet and sleek
Nice.
I like that add of the 37" LCD..I just got a 37" Sharp Aquos, myself..it's really sweet!
Look's really good!

alienized i love your room, but what the heck is that large black thing under your tv and to the left of your printer?
-
lol, That would be my paper weight on steroids desktop pc made by Alienware, I actually miss measured the first time and hung the TV a bit to low, and needless to say the wife did not appreciate all the holes in the wall.
-
That Dell is actually very sexy. Love it alot more then the current inspirons.
-
Aaah...and well, you certainly do have a very ~ nice setup!
Yes it is! No disagreement there!
Cin
-
Nice looking setup you have. The Mac Pro is impressive.
-
FinalCutPro
That is very nice, time will fly by with all that.
-
Are you the same guy who has an 8-core Mac but told Apple you couldn't afford Final Cut Pro?
-
@ FinalCorePro--Love the desk there
-
hello im thinking of going dual monitor by getting an additional monitor to connect to the hp laptop. have you guys any suggestions on what to buy. preferably 24" or 22" with image quality the prime concern and somewhere in the region £300?
-
Hey would you ever consider selling your C-1 Jolly Roger, I would pay you more than you bought it for, if you were intersted. If not it never hurts to ask.

This is my bedroom --- Which of course doubles as my computer room!
I know it doesn't look the greatest on camera, but hey. The house I live in is over a hundred years old, and the furniture within is probably about the same age, haha.
Plus, it's a step up from my old setup:
http://i41.tinypic.com/x4ki90.jpg
Put together that computer entirely from scratch --- Had it for about five years, I think, before finally getting my current Vaio to replace it.
It never did me wrong, not once, and even though it was
insanely slower/smaller than my new Vaio, I sometimes still miss it ... ;_;
-
Clean setups, are always a good thing!
Cin
-
Agreed! Tidy and simple is the only way to go.

Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate

At first i could have sworn that was a Vaio TT

-
everyone's setups are so clean, it's probably a good thing i haven't posted mine, there is crap everywhere. But i like it better that way, i feel more organized cause when it is clean i can never find what i need.
-
Well you should post it, when you want! I'm sure we would all like to see it!
So, the lived in look is ok, right???
Cin
-
Hmmm, it does look messy loll
Gotta love my DVB-S
-
What did you have for dinner?
