damn.I want one setup like that!
-
Here's a pic of not really the whole computer room per se, but the computer setup I'm using. It's connected to a D/dock expansion station with another video card in it, supports up to 4 monitors although I just have 3 at this time (including notebook display). Windows are tiled to show how it is integrated and draggable on all monitors. I may go with a 3 monitor on top setup and one display on bottom if I can get another matching monitor, otherwise possibly go 2 on top, 2 on bottom later. I use my Precision M4300 mainly for business and enterprise use. A TINY bit of gaming on the side (1-2hrs/week).
Precision M4300
15.4" SXGA+ Truelife
T7800 2.6ghz C2D
4gb DDR2 667
7200rpm 16mb 200gb
1gb Intel Turbo Memory (which is crap and does nothing)
Quadro FX 360m 256mb onboard DDR2 in laptop
Quadro NVS 285 256mb DDR onboard in dock
also pictured: external hard drives for media, blah blah blahAttached Files:

nice set up channelv, i like ur desk btw
, where did you get it?
-
Amazing! If only my room can look half as nice as yours xD I can barely fit a 20" monitor on my desk due to space constraints. Oh and I like that chair too... my chair isn't leather =(
-
Actually its all cheap stuff as I am having to live in an apartment for a couple of years due to my job in the east coast. The chair is from Staples, was only $70 - a pretty darn good deal so I got two to match, as the other side of the room is actually a mirror image of this side of the room, same desk, chair setup with another laptop on that one (not multi-monitor). The desk is cheap Ikea, was $50, but that riser/shelf section that lifts up the monitors was seperate, was another $30ish. The legs are adjustable in height so that I could make the 19" LCDs just the right height above the laptop's LCD to make it pretty much seamless. The shelf really helps with cleaning up desk clutter and increasing usable space as you can put things below it and on top of it (the large docking station and various drives are under it right now).

heres my setup
-
i call this the computer room at work
-
Thats a tiny network closet...I should show you the ones i work at...While we have about 30 closets each for about 200 computers, they all run into one main room. At least your room is clean. I hate seeing ones where the cables are a mess...and i hate cleaning them too.
-
You might have seen my other imac setup, but this is the one I use daily. Nothing special, but it gets the job done.
-
Wow, what a step down from the other system. How do you cope?
-
Its hard sometimes, but I manage to get by.

Bubba, I like the AN-124 - fantastic beast. I have had the fortune to see that in person along with its cousin the AN 225 Mriya. Nice looking set up. You should build A388.
-
No, Thomas, the picture was taken with a bright open window as background. I ruin pictures all the time doing that, and I've been shooting pictures long enough to know better. I'm thankful for all the various editing programs available to fix my mistakes. LOL
Johnny, a watch for each wrist?

I'm the stupidest person alive - the laptop is set on top of a Nintendo DS box.
But I use a Model M keyboard; I win @ life.
Rest of desk excluded because you don't want to see it XD
Like that page displayed on the computer? XDD -

Nice lamp...
But the speakers are nice.
-
It doesn't even work!
okay fine, it does; I just don't use it. I used to though, when the bulb I had blew out. I figure that it was better on a table than on the floor. Hence the presence of it.
And yeah, I absolutely LOVE the Z-10 XD -
That keyboard is really nice
-
What is it, that is so great about those Model M IBM Keyboards??
I just don't see the great part??
Show us your computer room!
