170EM has a Display Port, DVI Port, and HDMI Port. You can run two monitors I believe. Either the internal and one external, or two external..

The matrox will work, but requires alot of investment to run at a decent resolution.

I would find the m18x quite useless with an m11x on top of it. :p

Very nice rig, kinda jealous of the neat cable management job inside the case.
Good lord, the M18x is HUGE compared to a M11x.
Damn, I need one of those LCD arms.

Nothing very special; this is my current general purpose laptop (MacBook with 19" monitor). I use the netbook for school right now (Hackintosh, only Win 8CP works though), and I have a gaming PC in another room. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1336015886.909682.jpg

This is my home office. I recently bought the external monitor and cooling stand. I love my dual monitor setup even though it's not as clean as two matching monitors.

Is that the picture by the door or behind my seat? Behind my seat is a concert hall, by the door is a vintage framed New Yorker cover (1936) with a janitor conducting an imaginary orchestra.

You could try wall mounting them with short travel arms. If you're really committed, punch holes in the wall to run cables through for a super clean installation.

Sleek. I had a glass desk at my old job, actually it was a double glass curtain wall panel (like a glass door but taller, thicker and heavier). Anyway, the coolness is great in the summer, but not so much in the winter.

Cable management is tough. I see you have everything pulled taught, which helps a lot. Have you looked for cable trays that you run along the back of your desk?

I would, but I can't, cause we are in a rental house, and can't even put posters up with blu-tak.

Anyway, I have them at desk height now, just tilted to eye level, the bezel and what-not doesn't match up, but it works. Considering the other monitor is only for Outlook, Twitter, Skype, Explorer and only little programs it doesn't really matter.

Here are my two work/play areas. First one is my living room where I keep my M18x 95% of the time. Second is my bedroom where I just bought the desk last week. That's why the area is so empty at the moment, I'll update it as things get bought and come in the mail.

Thanks Kenny...some of the equipment I've had for the past 10 years including the stuff in the bedroom. The only new items I bought over two years ago was the Receiver, BD player and speakers. One thing I love about Onkyo it seems to last forever.

That's what I like about audio equipment. I never gets old. At home I still spin vinyl records on my dad's 25-26 year old record player. Still works like a charm. Too bad his 4-track doesn't work like it used to...
Onkye... I've heard that name. If I ever gonna build a audio system I should see what they've got.

Anyways, I've taken my time... approximately 5 - 6 hours of intensive reading through out this thread and seen a LOT of gaming rigs.. so behold my ladies and gentlemen.. my setup 2 years ago.

Well, after reading this thread for awhile, I decided to post my setup.

That is my Vostro 3450, hooked up to a 22" ASUS 1080p monitor. It does triple duty, with my PS3, and desktop, which you'll see in the next picture. The eGPU I made is sitting in the window. I have a set of Logitech speakers there, which sit up when the laptop isn't there. There's also a subwoofer underneath. I have a Turtle Beach headset in my desk drawer. There's also a crappy 10 year old printer.

Under my desk, is a mess of cables, the subwoofer, and my desktop, which you can barely see. All my games are on the shelf, and theres a bunch of cables. flash drives and SD cards in the container.

This is just a better front on shot, with the R.A.T. 7 and a generic Alienware keyboard.

I need a bigger desk... Hoping to fund dual monitors and a new desktop soon. :)

It travels, really. That is a terrible representaion of it. It is often times hooked up to the 47" in the family room, or on that monitor. When there, it is usually used for music, since that room is central and has surround sound.
