here's mine, I'm currently travelling so it does the job.
Those speakers have been a lifesaver, absolutely perfect for their price and size
Samsung NC110, bought it for the keyboard and weight
mouse for photo editing (I am a very patient person)
nothing really else, I'm a very minimalistic person, my home set up is the same but on a standing table.

 

^^^I remember the days they I used a magazine too as mouse pad. The first page would go weak after a month or so, because of the sweat. I would then simply tear that page and continue with my life .

 

I either use the bare surface (wood is pretty alright for a mouse) or use one of those promotional mousepads companies give for free.

Got a Barnes and Noble / Nook textbook store mousepad with my Calculus book.

 

Any reccomendations on how to photograph a room with large variances in lighting? I don't have anything fancy so it's kinda difficult to try and capture the nerd hole/cave I call "my room".

 

I think the best way to do it would be to take the shot at night, that way the sun won't over power anything.

 

I guess I could just take a picture in the daytime, it's not too bright or anything. The thing is that my room looks comparatively naff in the daytime, and that I'm awake mostly in the night, so I figured it would be nice to get a picture of what it's like when I'm using my computer.

Dammit, why is the server beast downstairs? My nerd level drops by five if I don't the beast in my room.

 

Another small update....Razer Mamba...only seven more things to come in and my desktop should be finished.

My room at 7:00 in the morning. The lights are on from when it was dark, and I'm wrapped up in a duvet so turning them off doesn't much appeal. If I'm honest it looks better in the dark, a pitty that my phone can't handle the contrast under those conditions. The stitching is kinda shoddy.

Boss ME50, I used to own one of those. Until I bought Metal Muff and sold it.

 

It does well for things like chorus and delay, but it is a bit lacking on the distortion. I should be getting a new amp soon, though, so I should be plain sailing then.

 

^^^Yeah, I remember when I had my distortion pedal with ME50 hooked up. Pure magic. I too didn't like the distortion much, but most of the other effects were good. All in all it was good for experimenting, but after some time I figured I don't need a lot of effects. I'm still planning on getting delay and chorus though.

Ahh I see youre not the only one who has their pistol on the desk at times. Mine only comes out when the crazys are out.

 

I never noticed how dirty the area by the door handle and light switch was. I should ditch the posters as well....

I dont know I have 2 posters in my office/non-garage man cave one is an original Jurassic park poster and the other is a cal ripken drink milk one that I got as a kid. Im 28 and still I think Ill have these on my wall for many years to come.

 

The monster poster could probably go, imo. I've had so many bad experiences with that stuff.

Every time I have my room suitable for a setup pic, I always forget to post one. Oh well, it'll get done eventually I guess.

 

Couple more things came in, mainly the other monitor and the Blue Yeti Mic. With the other monitor I had to move the m11x under the desk. I also decided to bring some of my Star Wars items out of the closet as well.

 

Nice setup. I've really gotta get me self one of those mouse pads and tablets.

Think I might skip the iPad purchase for now until I get a job..

 

If you turn your mouse pad around so the logo is in the top left then you probably wont be able to see it, thats how I have mine set up and I much prefer it that way.

 

What's the benefit of having that huge mouse pad?

Just cleaned the office a bit and finally have my server setup just about done. Sadly the m11x might have to go soon.

I love the m11x but the lack of speedy transfer option (e.g USB3, esata) makes it not a good option for my file server when it only has a 320gb HDD and I already have the storage infrastructure ready to go.

I was thinking about doing that as well.

Main reason so I don't leave finger prints on the piece of glass that protects the glass. Plus I have a six month old as well, and it's nice for her to grab unto when she's in my lap.

 

Half of that setup is the same as mine lol, did you copy me?

Vicious, what monitors are those?

 

By the looks of it, it's a bit fancy for simple tutorial recording/chatting stuff. But I must admit it suits the overall style very well. For both of you's.

 

3x Dell U2410

Garbage in garbage out, for pro audio gotta have a good mic and the Yeti is very cheap compared to "pro" mics and very versatile.

I actually use the Yeti Pro now and a Yamaha MG82CX to do my recording, very useful for live streams where I have no way to control levels in post processing.

 

Very nice, I couldn't justify spending that much at the moment.
