When you say at the moment, do you mean THIS particular moment or a time period that's approx. 1 month - 2 month long?

Given all the things you've got money doesn't seem like the ting you are short on..

While I admire your hardware I wonder how the heat is with those laptops so close. As for "work" well with a kid and wow on hold my pc gaming is at a stand still. But I'm thinking about trying d3 on the lcds.

Sick setup Vicious. How much did you spend on the TV (wall-mounted one)?

I just put the laptops there for the picture I never use my laptop at home (why would I need too?) but it would work fine as the G73 on the right vents to the back and the GT70 on the left vents to the left.

I think Viscious needs a bigger desk. Do you ever find that its a little to cramped at times? Why do you have so many headphones? Do you have guest speakers once in a while or do you just like to collect them?

No, never really cramped since all I need to work with the computer is keyboard and mouse. Its a big desk space if you sit back to think about those monitors being 24" each and that TV 37"

    LCARS Clock :D

Its HP Touchpad and its on the free app market.

I love that touchstone charger as well, every tablet should come with one or have one as an option, dock it and charge wirelessly and when you dock it, the clock comes on automatically.

    Different headphones for different tasks.

Some are open, some closed. Different bass/sound stage. Also a pair for other people in the room when I am casting.

final setup for this desk before i possibly sell it or give it away. my Cryo LX is at a friend's house. his XPS was overheating from D3. new to the setup: 24" PS3 3D Display and Corsair SP2500 2.1 Speakers.

future plans: new desk that is a bit less wide so i can put the 2 satellites on speaker stands next to it. SLI 680-powered desktop build with possible triple-monitors. if i don't go multi-monitors, i will wall mount a 32"-42" 3D LED LCD there.

^^^^^^^^^^ oh oh big plans!! SLI 680 desktop is one hell of a beast I must admit that, any ideas towards a CPU and MoBo? :) all can't wait until you actually do so and post some pics hehe

I'll get my gaming rig all finished real soon and post my pictures, yay :D

lol i'm not really in any rush to get it built. my NP8850 is still running like a champ. the desktop will be for Guild Wars 2 basically.

i'm probably going with the Asus P8Z77-V LK ATX LGA1155 and Intel i7-3770 because i won't be overclocking or anything. 680's will be factory overclocked.

So heres the new desk and keyboard, oh and the laptop... My friend gave my that laptop, gunna use it for learning Server 2003 and just a general test box.

I'm still trying to get used to having the monitors so close to me! It feels MUCH better on my back, not having to hunch over my desk to see the text though...

When you have lots of hardware, you don't manage wires.

I did a ton of cable management when I installed the triple monitor stand (got rid of the 3 bases that came with the monitors) I labeled the ends of my wires for all my audio & video so that if I need to add/take away or change up connections I know what is what.

Like when I added in the hardware mixer recently that changed a lot of the connections between my amplifier and my computer/tv/game systems.

Also not too long ago I got rid of my MD player and 10 band equalizer.

I ran all those cables and put zip tie mounts on the wall and zip tied the wires together to make things neat. Its nice to be neat I guess but the more management you do like this the harder it is to go back to make changes and add/change things, so yeah really the best thing to do is just be neat with the wires and label them but dont worry about having it all hidden away or tied up when your like me and always making changes to your setup.

I added a 3rd sound card to the setup as well when I added the mixer. So yeah a lot of interface changes happen when I do certain upgrades.

One thing I like is HDMI.... while it can be a boon to not route audio and video separately in some cases (like you want to send audio to your amp but not have the TV for passthrough.) in most cases it reduces cable need dramatically.

Wow. This will probably be my first post on this forum in forever. You see, I've been on Gear****z.com, and satisfying the budding musician/audio engineer in me is a thing that cannot frugally run alongside satisfying my love for computer technology. The two do meet more often than I like, though.

Last picture I must have uploaded was my freshman year dorm. (I just finished my junior year.) It had my old ASUS G2S (R.I.P.), my 360, and my TV.

I've added a few things since then. :)

My BB G51 with the old C2D P7350. Still going strong after all these years, but I bought the thing to game. A beefy graphics card and a low resolution screen are sort of the opposite of what you want when it comes to audio production, 'specially when the processor is overlooked. Different goals back then.

Underneath it is a TASCAM US-1641. Nice unit. Won't count on it working with my next computer, whenever that may come around.

Some Prodipe Pro 8 Ribbon Monitors. Really nice sound. The mixes translate well. Here's one of my friend I did back in my junior year dorm (not pictured) Recorded a friend of mine doing this song. He wrote the basic piano riff and the melody and lyrics. I arranged and orchestrated.

Mixed it with the monitors, the Sony MDR-7506 headphones underneath the left monitor, hiding behind the red lanyard hanging from the ceiling. Recorded his voice on that Studio Projects CS5 microphone hanging above the Casio PX-330 piano. Just bought that guitar. A vintage Sigma DM-4; I affectionately call it a "Martin clone, by Martin." Funny; this room is less than a 15-minute drive from where Martin was founded.

On the right, you can see my wonderful Nestle shelf, currently my home entertainment cabinet and, on the bottom half, a wardrobe.

Otherwise. Nice living back home during the last summer vacation of my life. Thought I'd check up on y'all!

P.S. That red string hangs down from the lights. Real convenient. :D

Why are people posing their gear? Why not post the true working setup?

I agree. I have 3 laptops, asus transformer, 2 x 21.5 LCDs, 1 x 24in LCD, tool box, assortment of hardrives, optical drive and a fan. Cable management would be a nightmare so it all goes behind the desk out of view. Besides anything that breaks/fails is removable and I dont have to mess with the cables at all.

Haha. Yep. It's a T500. Got the Envy 17 to upgrade from the T500 although the T500 is chugging along just fine. It's built like a tank. If the 530 had a better video card, I would've gotten another Thinkpad.

I have a picture of my old house. I used one of the spare 2nd floor bedrooms for my man cave. I needed room for my toys, (couch, dart machine, pinball, TV etc..) and the desk and chair took up half the room. I had a nice 5' x 6" closet, so moved all the computer equipment in there. I always kept a big fan in the room to aim at desktop, so over heating was never an issue in the closet. Yup, i never wanted to come out of the closet...
