That Chair does not look very comfortable. Other than that it looks like a sweet set up.
-
Both chairs are horrible (well the laptop one is over 60 yrs old).
-
Very nice set-up, good job on the cable management inside your case. Mine looks terrible.
-
@jwolf7722 Is that Vista ?!!
-
Nothing wrong with Vista, mang.
-
Windows Vista?? No its all windows 7.
-
Back when it was supported Id agree. But now that its not Iwould say its not a suitable OS currently.
-
Yes I agree.
Although I cannot imagine Windows 8 going mainstream

While I'm home, I've decided to make the den my "computer room". My own room is too noisy thanks to my brother and XBL, so I've taken over a seldom-used space in our house.
There's my W520, a review-unit Pavilion dv7t, 46" TV, Xbox360 4GB and Turtle Beach XC1, rarely-used Wii, and a rarely-touched eMachines T6412 w/15" monitor.

Here you go as an added bonus you get to see the Vicious himself
This was a screencap pulled right out of a 1080P video taken with my new D5100 I can get some really nice pics now with the better camera. I also for the first time didnt have to setup my 2 halogen lights to do a recording I just bumped up the ISO and was good to go. -
Its amazing what a DSLR can accomplish both still images and live 1080p video.

Microphone by Blue?

Yeah Blue Yeti Pro is my normal mic. Now that I moved to XLR and don't use usb I may upgrade it to a dedicated large diaphragm condenser mic in the future but wont really gain much from it unless I had a sound proof room. -
Nice rooms u got all.
Heres mine:

^ Nice room. How do you find the vertical monitors? I'm a web developer and have 2 monitors in horizontal at the moment, but might consider going vertical. Maybe only for one, though.
-
Thanks!
Theres 2 reasons why i put those two vertical.
1. Its more convenient to use my work programs. = more efficent monitor space distribution.
2. Its better for overall confort. I dont have to turn my head so much. With all 4 monitors on horizontal position, i would run out of desk space and the furtherst in the left would be basically on the side of me.
With a sepup like this. I can confortably sit on my chair and view "entire picture" without turning my head too much. -
I think that's one major thing when I'm working; comfort. Having my two monitors in horizontal view, I have to turn my head quite a bit for view the screen comfortably. Having them vertical would eliminate that quite a bit. But now I find myself working from my laptop more and more, so I don't really use my monitors that much.
-
I noticed the mixer.
Advice from an audio guy: unless there's a studio-level of recording going on and you need a microphone that can capture anything, I'm so partial to broadcast/VO dynamics for a computer microphone (talking Shure SM7b, Electro-Voice RE20, Sennheiser MD421, or the mysteriously cheap Prodipe TT1 which I own and love more than my SM7b). Besides, the Yeti does those utility things pretty well anyway! Not to be presumptuous; you could totally know way more than me. With your setup, I wouldn't be surprised. For condensers, I rock the Studio Projects CS5!
You still win this thread. As soon as I move into my apartment (within the month), I'll try and contribute to the minimalist camp. Or rather, the symmetry camp. I own too much audio equipment to be considered a minimalist!
-
Been working on it for a while now! -
Im using 24in lcds on both sides of my precision m4600 and I only have to turn my head a bit to view them fully. I did originally have them both to the right of the laptop and the turning was a major PITA and added a bit of neck discomfort when working long periods of time.
-
Nothing good about it either ^^

Vista was a solid OS and a worthy upgrade from xp. Infact I tried going back to XP from vista and always ended up back in vista as it was by far the superior OS between the 2.

killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Reminded me one discussion with my pal. I was anti-Vista and he was pro. Said he liked it very much. Then I used it for some time on his computer and it was better than most people have told me. -
Ah yes worthy, indeed.
But considering the amount of trouble one experienced with software, games and my share of hardware problems related to Vista.. I must admit I wasn't happy, although I managed to like it in the end just a year after W7 got released -
I never seemed to have the BSODs or software issues others were having. I transitioned from my acer 5672 to my dell vostro 1700 in jan 2008 with great ease and I was quite happy. The only thing was it HAD to have a fresh format or else it was garbage.
-
Well the fact that I have to hunt around the internet in order to build an ISO for it doesn't help its cause...
But as an OS I didn't mind once I got past all the original kinks and over secure security issues.
Doing a clean install of Vista for my uncle kinda sucks since the ISOs aren't readily available. Lack of support. Blegh. -
Haha my apologies guys.. I've had some terrible experiences with Vista
-
my setup looks exactly like Albake21, might get another monitor though
-
Haha nice, I've also been thinking about another monitor lately, but don't want to spend the money right now.
-
I used to *HATE* Vista as well but all of its original issues got sorted out after the release of Service Pack 2. Most versions of Windows had glitches when they first came out although Vista's glitches took longer than usual to fix. But it's definitely a superb OS now.
Someone complained about how difficult it was to find official, legal Vista ISO files. They are all listed on Dell's site right here: Dell Community -
Ah thank you very much
-
-
pretty nice setup to me, i especially like the gumball machine lol
-
Put a spoiler tag so it won't fill up the whole page
But overall very nice, I love sonic btw
- where is your Alienware
but nice setup, especially the lava lamp

Just moved into my new apartment, and here are some preliminary photos of what's been done so far in my bedroom:
-
Loving the chair
-
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
Probably a trophy from university canteen
.
-
Better than last year's chair. Made of sheet metal or some bs. At least this one isn't bone cold in the morning or winter.
-
I'm thinking of more ways to make my desk cleaner. If you're wondering what's the space in the right side on my table, it's my study place
-
^^^^^ Looks neat. Although I'm not diggin the weird thing on the floor, that oval crystal thing
-
That' funny...that is his subwoofer.
-
yeah, a lot of people said that but once they saw the thing itself personally they were just in awe
(talking about the sound and the materials used to build it.
)
-
First off give me those doritos now! Second thats the 2.1 system I have wanted for the longest time. How does it sound? I have seen a set in the crApple store and it truly is a thing of marvel and would match my danger den desktop perfectly. Only thing I would need to match the set is the laptop from hackers.
