You've got your set up like mine, large screen above smaller screen. Some of my friends criticize me for it, but I enjoy it more than any other configuration I've conjured up.

Kickass setup! Kind of like a personal home theatre (but still enough room for others). What kind of specs are you rocking?
-
Ill list it out the best I can remember.
i5 2500K unlocked 3.5ghz Corsair H100 water cooled
Asus P8Z68-V Pro
16gb pc3-12800 g.skill rimsaw ram
GeForce GTX 660+
Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion 7.1
128gb Sata3 hdd (OS Only)
500gb 7,200rpm hdd (games only)
1tb 7,200rpm hdd (storage only)
Everything else:
Shure Microphone
7.1 speakers (currently various brands) hooked up through Denon AVR1510 7.1 receiver
R.A.T. 7 wired gaming mouse
Razer Lycosa Keyboard (I've had many keyboards, this is my personal favorite by far)
Logitech 1000 touchscreen remote
HP MPF1212nf All in one business printer
I'm sure I've missed something but that's the idea anyways. I know I could really do with a processor upgrade, all in due time. -

Nice setup. I actually have the same desk. Yeah it can feel cramped but if you put your setup in a certain way it could feel way bigger. Like when I got my new 27 inch monitor I put the monitor on the corner instead of on one if the sides. It adds way more room and looks nicer. Also with that desk, it would be easier to put the tower under the desk. Or put it under the corner, that's where I put mine.

Just DO IT! -
Didnt know you were a thinkpad fan, Jarhead!!
-
Well, now I am (though I'll still look around if I need yet another laptop, due to the new Thinkpad keyboard).
Father had one years ago (was a kid, didn't pay attention to model) and I thought it was a nice computer. Bought the W520 because I wanted decent mobile gaming, no funky styling (sorry AW/MSi), and great battery life (sorry Clevo/Compal). Bought the X61t recently since I wanted to take digital, handwritten notes on PDF hand-outs and (when I get back into it) digitally draw on GIMP. Also nice to have a machine with only Linux (instead of the Linux VM on the W520), partly for the hell of it and partly because I didn't want to spend $20 on a Win7Pro/Ultimate license again (and I don't have a working external DVD drive, nor a good-enough flashdrive).
Desktop's just there because I wanted to build one, then came up with an excuse later
. So far that's being used for F@H, Steam, and any compute-stuff I want to do while in my room. Or I can turn the TV around, balance it on that metal bar (it's possible!) and watch TV.
-
I gotta get me a X61t or something like that, prolly used, exactly for the same reason, to take handwritten notes on pdf handouts.
BT, have you tried foxit? It allows you to embed notes in pdf documents?
And what is this new keyboard layout that people are tearing their hair out about? -
Had FoxIt on both Windows and Linux for awhile (though I'm back to Adobe, no particular reason), and I'm not sure if it allows you to embed notes into a PDF. I use Xournal when writing notes into a PDF on the tablet.
-
Foxit does, I'm quite sure of it. Although linux support is not as good as windows support.
You can only type notes in though. -

Or a pretty big wheelbarrow

Get rid of GF!!!
One of the better notebooks I've seen! How big is that screen? My Oosmio is 18" -

Thanks, it's 18.4." I really wasn't prepared for how big it was until I saw it. I've owned 17" notebooks in the past, but this just seems so much larger. Heavy, too. I think it's around 14lbs. Can't argue with the performance though

I'd like to hook up my Nikon D3 to that telescope!

Not exactly the same but got what I need and still working on building it up, can't go too far or GF will complain that the living room looks like a single mans dorm room but think I did pretty good to get what I have
-
^^^ That's a very, very nice setup there Vicious. Not just the computer-related stuff too, but the whole damn thing!

Some pics with the M14x before I traded it for a 7970 Mini ITX build. I'll upload more pics later with the new desktop and monitor

Some nice rooms up in here! Unfortunately for now my kitchen table is my desk.

What keyboard is that?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2 -
It's a CM Storm Quickfire Rapid with MX Red switches. Great keyboard for gaming and surprisingly nice for typing too.

I never use it, but I imagine it's awfully convenient. Creepy

While I LOVE the thinkpads, I cant help but wonder how you function with that setup. Has to be unconfrotable resting your arms on a laptop to get the desktop keyboard.
-
I don't actually use them like that. I just grouped the laptops together on the desktop desk to get them all in one picture frame. Normally, it's just the desktop keyboard, TV, mouse, Xbox 360 and router (behind the X61t).
-
I like it. If you had one arm that came from the center of your chest your mouse would be in the perfect place.
-
-
Some updates. I've spent my evening cleaning up my "desk" and setting up my new entertainment stand. I think it looks better than it did before.
-
What a mess
-
Here is my
current set up. Normally, I would have my laptop on the right of my 19" monitor, but since it's out of order I have to use an old Dell dimension 5150 I have. Hopefully it'll be back to normal soon. As you can see in the drawer, there is most of it.... If you look carefully you can see parts on the desk. I also have my phone and tab there, as you can see.
