New Dell U3014, daisy chained to my old U2711, barely fits my desk![]()

Is that your computer case squeezed inside your desk drawer?
If so, how does it breathe??? Do you have any overheating issues?
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk 2 -
Yes its flush mounted into the desk. No overheating issues, my gtx680 runs quite cool.
There are grills all over the front, and the rear exhaust is ducted away from the case so warm air doesnt get recycled. -
This is what my desk looks like. The setup is missing one 24" monitor because I left it at work (meant to fill in the gap in top left corner.) Eventually I will have to acquire another one to fill in the gap to the top right corner as well. Flight sim, MMOs, content generation, etc.

Don't have any pictures of my setup on me but I run two custom built desktops, an msi gx 720, a cheap acer that I just picked up for $280 and a 32gb ipad 4

hahaha classy!

I'm still missing a mousepad, and i might wanna upgrade my 10 year old speakers. Also, been considering getting a black IBM Model M by Unicomp ( Unicomp, Inc. Classic 104 Black Buckling Spring USB) but for 80$, they are soo expensive T_T

Needs more orange and purple... -

Alrighty, heres my home set up (I'm at Uni, so my portable setup is far less impressive)
My work bench, the left hand XPS is mine, the right hand is my brothers earlier generation.
Stripping down a work Compaq CQ47, maintenance and RAM upgrade
And what came out of the fan/ radiator unit

Nothing too special about mine. My Alienware sits on the bed next to me and I use my HDTV as my second monitor.

Much more room, so it's very nice to sit back and relax. Which, right now, means playing some GTA IV.

We just moved my cousin into her student apartment. So much better than her original dorm room.

My new repositioned setup:
My signature has all the specs, pretty much running a desktop nvidia 660 connected to a 2012 mac mini in OS X and Windows 8. Mounted my monitor to the wall and put my speakers on the monitor so I had more space on the desk. My HDMI switch is for my gpu, mac, direct tv box, and hd pvr2 recording device. -

Did I ever post this?

Its pretty much my computer room right now, I have added a few things and got my setup completed for my webcast and such since then. Did not really take any pictures this time around maybe next time I break out the camera I can do that. -

I love that idea of having the computer set on a toolbox.

invested on a desk mount and a used HPLP2475W

Compared to all those fancy setups I've seen over the last 20-30 pages I've looked through, my expat setup does come off very simplistic. It gets the job done, and I like it
The box the new Dell came in, stands in till I find the cooler I want. I need one that raises the lappy roughly the same height as here (suggestions are welcome!) -
Hey, sometimes simple is better.

Well, I think it's about time to post my setup, after all this time of hiding it from the internet
.
Well, where to start, I guess with my main gaming rig, the specs are in my signature, and it is currently hooked up to my 70" 1080p Sharp TV:
As you can see, the computer is in a very generic case that I've had for years... I already have a new case, the InWin D-Frame, but I'm going to do the case swap once I get an AMD R9-290X graphics card
When I game I usually just bring up the couch with a table for the mouse/keyboard. I'm currently building a better table for this because this one sucks.... The mouse and keyboard are going to be replaced by Logitech as well.
Now, I really LOVE racing games, so with a Logitech G25 wheel, PVC plumbing pipes, some plywood and black paint, I built my own racing cockpit! I have got to say, this thing is awesome, and it's on wheels so I can move it out of the way when I'm not using it .
****pictures in next post*****
*****Continued from previous post*****
I will also be adding my old Alienware MJ-12 to the TV as a Windows XP NVidia gaming setup for my old games that don't run on AMD cards (Might and Magic 9, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, etc). The door broke off a while back, so that's why it looks really odd lol.

Sorry for multiple posts, but I have a lot of pictures, and only 4 are allowed per post. ****EDIT***** Well, just found out I can post more if I upload to another site and link it lol... but they display HUGE! I have no idea how to fix this.
Just noticed one of the racing cockpit was not posted:
The Alienware MJ-12:
And sadly, my M11X R1 is waiting to be repaired... so my current mobile rig is the infamous Toshiba Libretto W100... it's awesome as an ebook/manga reader, but use daily as a full-out mobile pc, no.... just no:
And finally, my loved gaming treadmill setup - the desk is also removable! With an Alienware M17X R1, Logitech G13 gamepad, and Thermaltake headset/mouse which will be soon replaced by Logitech
One of these days I'm going to make the desk on the treadmill bigger to fit a larger mouse pad and have holsters for my headset/gamepad. Anyways, hope you enjoy!Johnny T, Lykos, radji and 1 other person like this. -
Mostly the same setup as my previous pictures of my current room, though I rearranged some things and added a few things (new keyboard, 2DS, server, etc).

The keys feel too mushy though... I might end up just giving it to my brother or something if I can't stand it. Probably should since I've already bought something expensive for my mom for Christmas and I need to get something for my sister (she wants Hunter boots, and I told her she needs to buy me a bada** speaker system in return for those). The presents in the photo are the tablet and the mouse I bought for my mom and brother, respectively. -
Still debating on getting a mechanical, looking at the MX Blue edition of the TK quickfire. -
There are alot of them so i decided to get the strongest camera in the house and give it a go ._. ill add specs tommorow to each and every one
the first R is my M18x
And the Last is T my optiplex
ill get pics for the 3 in the back since u cant see them that well XD
i love how my brothers foot is too the left XDAkimitsui likes this. -

My desk is small, barely enough room for my 14 inch laptop + 20 inch monitor/KB+M. -
Did you made the picture with the SH-10C?
-
No, it is from a mirrorless. But i think it is possible.

Prepare for a long post, I re-did a lot of stuff since my last post
Firstly, my M11X R1 has been repaired, and I use it on my desk in my room or also on the go. My Toshiba Libretto W100 dual-screen tablet is also on my desk, which I use for e-book/manga reading wherever I go. My chair is a Ractive bucket car seat which I modded into a chair and is extremely comfortable - I use this same chair for my racing cockpit downstairs as well. Sorry for the mess on the desk lol:
Next, my treadmill setup. Currently my M17X R1 is dead and needs a new motherboard and GPU, I have already received the GPU but I am still waiting on the motherboard - so that's why you only see half of my M17X lol. I made a new larger table from some old IKEA table that I was going to throw out, and the mouse and gamepad have been replaced by a Logitech G602 and XBox 360 controller - I use the same ones for my desktop setup also. The mousepad is some Dolca hard gaming mouse pad that I got for $5, so I can't complain there.
Now time for the game room hooked up to my 70" Sharp 3D TV (I never used the 3D lol). I have made the room look a bit more "clean" I guess:
Now, here is how the TV stand is set up. The bottom left cabinet houses all my spare controllers for the consoles. The right one houses a few games. Now on the top from the left: Logitech Extreme Pro 3D flight stick, XBox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows, Wireless remote with keyboard and touchpad for the pc, Thermaltake Shock Gaming Headset, Modded XBox 360 Console with LEDs/extra internal fans for cooling to prevent RROD/ability to play backups because the console scratches my disks, PS2 fat and PS2 slim - both loaded with FreeMcBoot custom firmware, Original PS1, VCR rewinder for my old movies
. Underneath I have a digital cable box and VCR player:
When I'm gaming with mouse & keyboard I pull up the couch with the new table I made from that old IKEA desk that I was going to throw out. I use the Logitech G19 keyboard and the Logitech G602 mouse. I am still waiting on the Logitech G240 Gaming mouse-pad... they messed up my order and sent me an Ipad Mini case lol...
When I play flying games or shooters that have planes/helicopters like Battlefield then I use this setup. The keyboard you see there is the Logitech Tablet Keyboard which I use on my tablet as well - and it works rather well in gaming. The massive G19 wont fit on the table properly with the flight stick added:
When not gaming the table is tucked away beside the racing cockpit:
Now here is the new beast I built, and for a full AMD build this is amazingly fast. Specs are:
- AMD FX-8350 8-core 4GHz - overclocked to 4.5GHz (for now, will go higher once the CPU is more broken into)
- 32GB Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz ram - 8GB each stick
- Corsair H100 Liquid Cooling with 240mm Radiator
- Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 Motherboard
- Sandisk Extreme 120GB SSD
- 2X Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM HDD's (4TB Total)
- 2X Gigabyte Windforce R9 270X 2GB GPU's in Crossfire (these models have the extended cooling with 3 fans)
- Coolermaster 850W Silent Pro Modular PSU
- Coolermaster Cosmos SE case
I know I said in my previous post that I would get the R9 290X... but everywhere I went didn't have them in stock, so I had to settle with the dual 270x's - but they still handle anything I throw at them at ultra settings so no biggie. I also just ended up selling the InWin D-Frame case along with my old desktop. Here are the pics:
Next to do on my list, a better camera. Feel free to add me on steam  -
Back home, so my setup is a little smaller. Though I found an extra DVI cable, so I can use an older display just sitting around.
