So I thought I was happy with my temps. 10min of Aida64 showed good results with the settings I was trying out. Upon running Premiere and exporting a video, my temps were through the roof and it had to thermal throttle. I lowered ICC max to deal with this, which in turn reduces CPU speed. Does anyone have any tips I could try, or is this just the nature of the beast? I would have liked to enjoy the 8750's speed to help with exporting, but it seems like I won't be able to take full advantage of it.
EDIT:
Playing with TS some more and adjusting power limits, I've got it hovering around 3.5GHz, and it seems to be keeping temps under 90c for now. Fingers crossed. I'd be pretty happy with this if it works. Sure would be nice to get a bigger or better heatsink/fan setup on this.

I'm playing around with its settings, but for some reason the seem not to have any perceptible effect (at least an immediately perceptible one). It feels like the program isn't working tbh, adjusting the volume bar does nothing, and everytime I close the program the settings just reset...
I'll check the audio drivers to see if its related to that in any way -
The OP Driver pack comes with around 6 different audio driver iterations, some of which don't work at all. Does anyone know if other resellers carry more recent and working drivers?

Can someone share Walmart OP's Customer Service phone number? I'm still unable to download the free games which came with it . When i enter the code it says invalid codes. I need to call them and find out from them. Let me know.

Okay.... luckily it’s still in my history. There are two URLs I’ll put them both here for people to find. I believe the first one works and the second is broken, but try em both.

Finally upgraded to an NVMe SSD - 500GB WD Black. Installed it in the second slot while keeping the stock 256GB SSD as storage. Getting full advertised speeds. Now just need to wait for 1-2TB 2.5" SSDs to drop further to replace the annoying HDD.

MechRevo GamingCenter 2.0.1.1 is available (in the download page for the gtx 2060 version but works for the 10xx version too, i tested it!)
http://driver.tongfangpc.com/d.mechrevo.com/driver/GamingCenter_2.0.1.1_Mechrevo.zip
They did update the UI but they made it worse (colors and settings are less usable).
By the way i found out that the standby problem may be caused by GamingCentre but it must be installed to correctly turn off the keyboard during standby.
I After some re-installation of GC i found MechRevo GC with Mechrevo BIOS seems to work.Attached Files:

Playing around with some battery settings. Aside from the performance drops due to lower power consumption, are there any other reasons why toggling battery saver on all the time wouldn't be advised? (risks, etc...)

your pc may be stable on benchmarks but to be sure it's 100% stable you need to test it against a lot of condition like playing games or applications that may be more suscieptible to undervolting (there's not a global rule, just test it on everything you have, games usually do the job better than benchmarks).
The fact that it crashes when switching to battery means it's not a stable configuration at all:
repeat the test from -100mv and go down in small steps; when you find a stable configuration do test it for at least a week of normal usage because it may be unstable only in certain conditions and not only on heavy benchmarks -
There have been reports in the thread about new things. -

Edit: I benchmarked an Intel 660p 1TB and speeds are fine, both seq write and read around 1600-1700MB/s (max speed on specs is 1800)...Last edited: Feb 3, 2019 -

@clone1008 Thanks ! Indeed I'm quite busy these days so it's hard for me to keep the mega post up to date. Actually last time was about a week ago... so @Paska Houso please notice that it's quicker to scroll last weeks's posts in this thread and find information you're looking for, rather than for me to update the post p.109 right now. This said, I'll do it soon.[/QUOTE]
Thanks. No need to rush it. Actually it would be nice if people who have come across some new information bits would keep on posting them.
To make it easier for you (whenever you happen to find time, which I know is a scarce resource).

XMG has published a new BIOS/EC combination, together with a tool which writes some values to the EC. The accompanying readme seems to indicate this has to do with the management of the 180W power supply unit (XMG delivers the rig with a 180w unit)
BIOS: 1.09
EC: 1.37.09
ControlCenter: 1.2.3.4 (XMG customized and with animations enabled)
Note: The files seem to be intended to be updates over the UEFI BIOS, but no "UEFI" boot code is provided, which means the user will have to use the boot code from other providers. Although there are couple of executables in the pack.

Just a possible sign Overpowered is still active, I just bought a OP-LP3 17+ laptop at $989 today, they started selling their laptops with a quantity limit of 4, before hand it was possible to buy up to 100 units at a time.

If anyone is wondering about the key switch specs, the clicky switch is 50g actuation force, 2.0 mm actuation distance, I plan on creating an accurate 3D model of the stem on the switches soon. It might be very similar to the low profile
Kailh stem, just for the keycap, might need to cut the middle of the two bars to allow the switch's own bar in between, but who knows.Blebleuh likes this. -
I just bought the OP 15+ model and I'm having trouble using a second M.2 SSD. The top slot doesn't seem to recognize any ssd at all. Is there a setting I need to switch in order to populate two ssds?

Have you encountered anyone with a problem when you run your laptop on a battery with Windows 10, windows throws bluescreen Internal_Power_Error?
When the laptop is on the power supply, the problem does not occur. -
If no one yet knew, there are 3 version of the blue switch currently, v1 is from the earliest models, v2 has better response, sharper click, v3 refines it even more. Brown switches have two versions, v1 from the time Overpowered started and v2 that is going to be closer to a silent switch. There are 3 versions of keycaps for the keyboard, the square version is v1 (there might be a stabilized version of v1), the oval is the v2 which is more stable in the switch, v3 is in development I heard which is to be also an oval and is to be even more stable than v2.
