Just hit F2 when you see the White Zepto bootscreen, when you turn on your computer.

dear clb-nl i just noticed new drivers from the ftp. Both for 32 and 64 bit.
Did you test them?
maybe with this one we can get a bit more points
let me know! -
A few questions
I downloaded the latest BIOS version (Nox_A15_3532.iso) and burned it to a DVD.
I put the DVD in the drive and reboot my laptop
I select the DVD drive as the boot drive (pressing F12 at startup)
The drive spins up and the system is doing something but the screen stays black (only a blinking underscore)
I takes some time but eventually the system boots to Vista.
Did I just upgrade my BIOS or should there be more user interaction required?
How can I check my current bios version? When I enter the Bios using F2 I see some version numbers but I cannot relate them in any way to the 3532 number in the download?
According to the manual the PC needs to be manually restarted after a bios update so I guess my upgrade DVD is screwed in some way but I just want to make sure.
Regards
Dave -
But I will give the link to Zepto NL so they can test!
And I'm gonna say it in my Dutch A15-topic, so the people there can test it! -
So nope you have to get a screen that boots into the Windows Command promt, with a progress bar. When the progress bar closes you should hold down the power button for about 7 sec (till it shuts down). The power button will stay lid, then wait 10 sec or so and turn it back on.
Then do a complete boot, and then the BIOS is upgraded. -
-
And..? Scores?
-
So not a huge difference to the ones you posted, just a a few points better. -
-
I used Roxio on my work pc to burn the image.
I got a folders structure on my DVD so I didn't just burn the iso file.
Maybe Roxio doesn't make the disk bootable. Or maybe something else went wrong.
Will try again using imgburn.
Thanks for the help -
Try cdburnerxp. It's an open source burning program, you can find it via google. It understands how to burn an ISO-image into a bootable CD.
Good luck mate! -
I used ImgBurn to burn the image file to a new blank DVD disc. Everything went fine but when I try to boot from this DVD I get exactly the same behaviour as with the previous disc.
The DVD drive spins up
I see a blinking underscore moving down my screen (as when pressing enter repeatedly)
After a while (15 - 20 sec) it just continues booting to Vista.
I would find it very weird that I would have created another faulty DVD.
In attachment a screenshot of the contents of the burned DVD.
I wonder why my explorer says 'Files currently on the CD' when it really is a DVD.
Should I burn the image to a CD instead? According to the manual it should be a DVD but that could be an error ofcourse.
Would it make a difference if I burned the image using my Zepto instead of my work PC?
Is it possible that my current bios version is already the latest and that the update process detects this? Where can I find the current bios version and how does it relate to the version specified in de iso file (3532)
Regards

It shouldnt matter if you burn it on a DVD or CD.
And are you shure your booting from the CD?
Last option could be a faulty drive -
The Windows PE version used for the BIOS updates in the Zeptoi site is apparently Windows PE DVD edition, so yesit does matter if you burn it on a CD or DVD
-
If that still doesn't work I'm out of ideas.
I really should be able to check my current version of the BIOS is it not?
I seem to remember multiple version numbers none of which I could relate to the version in the iso-filename -
-
thanks for that, I'll check when I get home from work -
i used burner img too and had your same situation elechi,
checking the regedit i've got a 0.27_e32 version date 17/10/2008
don't know, maybe is yet must upgradate bios? i can change fan settings but it is not so disturbing right now.. -
Press F2 during bootup and look at the main page for the EFI version and EC version.
EFI 0.35
EC 00.32
That's how the new BIOS should say. -
Any of you guys have a sluggish webcam? I dont know why but when i compared my webcam to another acer laptop, i was very surprised to find out that the acer webcam performance was very smooth compared to my zepto nox webcam which was always lagging.
The FPS usually hovers around 8-15 fps. Is this normal? -
crapp0, well I've tried the Nexus i have here for installation under both XP and Vista and under XP the cam is running 28-30fps, while under Vista it is running 5-15fps here. So it's either a Vista thing or the drivers. I'll try and contact Zepto on Monday about this.
-
Oh ok. Coz i'm using vista premium and the webcam performance is extremely sluggish for me. I dont know if its the webcam hardware which is the prob or the vista drivers arent that good.
All i know is that the webcam video quality is both terrible and sluggish. -
I've got a problem with the light of the screen. It seems to be not able to lighten up all the screen. Is not really noticeable until u do not put a blank screen on. I'm going to send it back, since I paid a lot for this.
About the bios: it seems vista is not going to read bios value in the right way. In the bios I read aura 35 and 32, under vista 27_32.. whatever.
Is there a software to manage the fan? why in the bios there is just a "fan on" or "throttle on".. they should be able to run the fan "slow" and "fast", not only run it.. -
The FTP has many driver updates for me..
But I don't know whether mine are the latest already...
How do I check? -
Just download the lot and install them. Wont hurt. They will just override the installed or say your up to date
-
I've downloaded the ISO but how do I make it bootable?
I am using ImgBurn and have used two blank DVDs and it doesn't work!
- I use Write Image File to Disc option and choose the zipped-up ISO then burn.
Or should I extract the files first?? -
Exactly the same problem I'm having.
I open the image file using ImgBurner and it says iso9660 bootable or something like that.
I burn it to a DVD
It burns perfectly
When I try to boot from this drive using F12 and selecting TSSTCorp DVD device it spins up but after a while gives up and boots to vista.
I'm out of ideas -
Have you tried with the ISO_Burner software Zepto has provieded themselves?
ftp://ftp.zepto.dk/Utilities/ISO_Burner/ISO_Burner_Setup.exe
Also Elechi, what model computer do you have? -
Thanks kadett2k8, that worked! I wonder why ImgBurn didn't..
I realize that after the BIOS update, I can't detect my battery. Whats with it now? -
remove and reseat while laptop is on?
-
The battery works, but it doesn't show on the task bar. It says "NO BATTERY IS DETECTED" even when I'm running on battery. Strange?
-
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!
-
Should i buy this laptop? Cons/Pros?
I found it used for 1,119.68 USD, might even get him a bit down..
Worth it? -
What do you think about reading al the reviews/ posts about this laptop...
And that's called a 'Notebook Guru' here with more than 60 posts =s -
Sorry im gonna look thru the topic now

The only low point for this machine is the fan noise. With my bios version the fan starts regularly even when just browsing the internet.
I have no problem with the fan while playing a game but it going on and off while the system is almost idle becomes annoying. It's supposed to be solved with the latest BIOS but I haven't been able to update it yet. -
Thanks -
Pro:
soft, good video card (but improved drivers are needed), nice screen,
con:
fan noise, customer care service, speakers (very very bad choise). -
Didn't notice the speakers yet since I use headphones.
-
Concerning my problem with updating the BIOS
I seems the drive in the NOX doesn't like the DVD+R discs I was using.
Worked perfectly with a DVD-R disc
Duh -
ROFL
I thought problems with DVD R format were gone
-
I got the latest 180.70 nVidia Forceware running fine here.
And that sure isnt Zepto's responsibility to improve the drivers, that is nVidia's job. -
Ey guys!
I got my Zepto Mythos for a month now.
I had a question: How can i clean it?
I tryed a few cleaning products, didn't had a affect.
I have a pen line on my notebook, what's really annoying...
Thanks,
John -
You mean the surface?
I just cleaned my 6314W with PRF Booster. My GF totally made it messy while making herself pretty in the morning and surfing at the same time
BTW, how do you like your Mythos? I'm heavily geared towards buying the same thing..
-
Ok i´m gonna try it. But PRF Booster looks more like its for the keyboard.
Answer on your question:
I love the zepto mythos.
The mythos is really good looking and have a good fps (grahic card).
The screen is also great! Keyboard and stuff, al fine.
Now some con's:
Don't like the dirt attracting. It's dirty right now.
That's why my question^^, and i don't like the fan noise to.
The speakers are low quality to.
