When I spoke to them earlier today, they said the same thing. Next waves of 512 are 5/16 and 5/23. Next waves of 256GB are 5/9, 5/16 and 5/23. Next waves of 128GB he only mentioned 5/9 and 5/23. There might have been ones earlier but he didn't say(probably because mine is late May). I don't take anyone's word for this stuff. CSRs only tell you what they are told and it's not something to take as if it is in stone.

When I called they were able to say my 512 was going to be shipped 5/9 (I called again today to see if I got the same response, which I did.) Maybe it's just because I pre-ordered on 3/16 or something.

Agreed, he even said that 5/9 would be the latest for mine and that the warehouse would send it out when it was ready and no later. His exact words were, "The date 5/9 is so the warehouse can promise less and deliver more."

I just noticed something interesting. I was going through the "Uninstall Programs" on my 256GB Blade and saw that the NVIDIA drivers, Sound Drivers, Windows Essentials etc were all installed on 4/4/14. Yet it didn't ship to me until 20 days later. Do they install software in Singapore and then ship or do they do all that once it reaches here in the US?

LOL, no one sits behind each computer and installs software like you would. They create a master image and clone them all from the master. So, until they decide to update something, every Blade is likely to have the same install date/times as yours.

I don't know, but I've spoken to Razer CS Singapore, and they apparently do have a warehouse here. It's to speed up shipping here itself (I paid just S$9.90 for NEXT-DAY SHIPPING, that's around US$8), and to the rest of the Pacific Area, not sure if it includes the U.S. And of course, they also have an R&D lab here. Pretty cool.

Are they actually serious? I was promised 100% that the 512gb version will be 5/9. Wow you really can not trust Razer. If this Laptop will actually ever come, it will be for sure the last product I will buy from Razer.

Welp May 1st and I dont see anything that gives me even a new promise date....just ordered March 22nd 256gb and NO clue when I will get it, I wish that Razer got their head out of their proverbial communication ....Where can I find a new promise date that they can then break again?

Can anyone else access the order status page, linking from Razer's support page? It comes up as an error on Google Chrome.

It seems like it was a problem on my University's end. Thank you for checking.

EDIT: One question, if you cancel an order with Razer, and they dont confirm it yet, can you uncancel that cancellation request?

    Hi!

So today I got this email, and I see others in this thread got it earlier.
Did anyone who received this message get their order shipped yet? I'm thinking this may be the processing madness we're seeing: Order Confirmation -> n days till Back Order Notification -> n days till Shipping confirmation. What's the value of n =)

May I ask what number everyone is using that they are able to talk to somebody about ship dates? I have spoken to 888-697-2037 , extension 6, and they told me that their sales/shipping support is a separate department and that the only way I could reach them is by email.

Anyone order from Amazon that has actually received theirs yet? The only reason I went with Amazon was because of the warranty you can add on plus Amazon has a good return policy if something goes wrong. It says 1-2 months on Amazon and we ordered April 18th.

Ordered on Amazon April 10th with an ETA of May 13th to May 28th. That range is usually an estimate until they get an actual date from the vendor. I lost faith in them so I also ordered through Razer. Whoever ships first wins I guess.

So did anybody get shipping notification from Razer this week? I've heard a lot of people got a promise for this week.

Yeah, they called me a few hours after I placed my order. The guys tried to end the call with, "OK, well get that out to you shortly." I stopped him, "Wha...wait what? This is a pre-order, it shouldn't ship until April 16th." Guy had basically no clue what I ordered. But he was friendly enough and just doing his job.

But yeah they called me. I was suspicious at first, but they only asked for name and address, not CC number.

Things seem weird over at Razer. I ordered a 256 on 4/4 and have been experiencing the same delays as everyone else. 10 days ago I was given a ship date of 5/2. For the past 2 days I have not been able to even connect to the order status portion of their web page. Basically I cannot get any order info online with the info they provided. I have been passed around to different agents on the phone who know nothing about when any blade orders might ship or any information at all.

Razer customer service stinks. Why should I expect that they put as much care into their laptops when their company service is so horrible and discombobulated! It's like dealing with a government
agency! Their disinformation campaign is stunning!

Min-Liang Tan - do you read these!? I am a first time customer and I ordered the Blade in part by your own enthusiasm for your products. Do you care how awful your customer support is? I don't blame the folks taking the calls. I blame you and your executive staff. You are about to lose a potential first time customer who was about to pay 2500 dollars for Razer products.

I would wait for months if your company could just be honest about whatever is causing the delay.

It's unfair to expect that customer support is going to have intimate knowledge of ship dates and incoming product stock. That's not their job, that's the shipping and logistics department. Customer support is trying to do their best, but they can't give an answer to the customer if they're not given one themselves.

As to why you should trust them with warranty and support issues. . . I'll gladly personally vouch for their support staff. They've gone above and beyond to support their products when I've had issues... including DIRECTLY intervening with a third party seller when the seller's inept testing process couldn't reproduce an error on a bad GPU.

I'm also fairly sure their support staff is just as frustrated at the lack of answers as everyone waiting on their machines are... Put yourself in THEIR shoes for a second. . wouldn't you rather be able to GIVE a definitive answer tu customers instead of being forced to guess because nobody in shipping communicates with customer support?

[No, I do not work for Razer, but I *DO* work as first level support in a very large company. I deal with this kind of thing almost DAILY, and I know EXACTLY how frustrating it is from a customer support position to not be able to give the customer better information.]

I appreciate your reply. I am not mad at anyone. It's more of a frustration with this sort of capitalism in general. I would expect that 2500 USD would be worth a certain amount of communication. I feel as purchasers we settle for less than we are worth.

And partly I ordered the blade based on a "Steve Jobs" sort of believe in his product that Min exudes. My belief has been deflated based on this experience. I tend to look at the whole picture.

I tend to expect almost nothing from any company except Apple. Apple sells you a laptop for $2500 that consists of $1500 worth of hardware and $1000 worth of software and customer support. No other company does that - their prices are closer to what the hardware is valued at. With "Apple-level" customer support, the Blade would cost $3000+. That said, they are good with what they can do, from what I can see. Every person I have talked to has been curious and has at least tried to help. They also speak English as a native language, which is a plus when trying to explain my situation. If they can't tell me when my laptop will ship, I'm understanding. I guess it's because I deal with product development and know how it is dealing with delays...

The only thing I would say is completely bad about his experience is that everyone, including the customers, have the ups and downs of hearing an earlier ship date, and having it being pushed out.

Comparing this to my Apple basis, I ordered an iPhone 5S online, day of release. All it said as an expected due date was Nov. I ended up waiting a pretty similar amount of time as compared to this release (third week of Nov. was when it shipped). This was with a much larger, more together firm. At some point, even though it sucks and there isn't much information, I guess you just have to realize it will get here when it does. The wait game is always the worst and creates the most angst...but just think of how great it will be when you finally get it ;)

On a side note, paying a lot for something doesn't necessarily guarantee a great process while waiting. I feel like it mostly translates to the experience once you finally own it.We had ordered a Porsche once. Waited 4 months for it to arrive. When it finally did, it turns out that the car had not been tied down properly in the container. They had done port repairs, but really it wasn't completely great. We ended up passing on that car and after months more of popping the dealership and being annoyed with not really knowing too much, we finally received our car. The experience there after has been superb. I am expecting the same with the Razer.

    What size?

I wish everyone who posted this type of info included their size, we already know that the batch dates are size-specific, it helps the rest of us judge our order and shipment dates without also bothering Razer CS.

I ordered a 256GB, on 3/30 and I got the email saying it'd ship on 4/30. I emailed razer today and they responded (within a few hours) and they told me that my order was going to ship on 5/9.

Because I like seeing redundancy to back up details, I ordered mine 3/31, 256 gig and also they said my order would be here on 4/30 then delayed to 5/9.

It may be worth noting (though I don't know the validity of this), that anyone who preordered, will get a free mouse voucher when the shipment of the blade arrives. I kinda doubt this part but it may be worth mentioning.

I am still trying to figure out where people are getting the 5/9 date from? I ordered 3/22 and I have yet to see any e-mail that actually states a date once the 4/24 date I was given slipped. I just had a generic backordered e-mail that never gave me any more details, do you guys have any suggestions where I can get my next predicted date from as I am now curious.

how i understood the mouse promotion was supposed to be was as follows:
every one who preordered before the original release date of 4/4 got the email about the free mouse because they were thr first ones to get pushed back.
