2014 Razer Blade 14 Ship Date thread

I ordered from MS as well but I was unable to get the $100 off, just the student discount.

 

How? I used the discount but still paid more because they added tax on MS and not with Razer Store..

Well, my Razer order included Californian tax without the student discount. Glad I got to save money and get it earlier. Lesson learned. No more ordering directly from Razer.

 

Ok MS is really pissing me off, I go to order it and I can get the 10% discount but the promo codes are broken to order the blade. I call they said you cant use two discounts even though thats not true because you are able to stack the discounts on ANY other laptop in the store! the rep I was talking to said it shouden't be like that so they wont let me do it even thought she was wrong ughhhh.

 

Getting sick of waiting for Amazon to get their shipments. I get money on Wednesday, and I plan on cancelling my 512 order from Amazon and ordering from Microsoft. Should have it by Friday if it's still in stock by then. On a side note, the rep was a really cool dude, and gave me free overnight shipping because I'm going to architecture school and build computers. Top man.

 

Just ordered from MS.... Will cancel the order on razer as soon as i get shipping confirmation...can any1 tell me how long does it take MS to start the shipment?

 

Just bought the 2 left at my local Microsoft store thanks to a member on this forum

gonna cancel my order on monday... they can take their free mouse and shove it up their... yeah

$60 for express shipping ? I'll drive there myself for 15 mins of my time......

Not happy I didn't end up with a 512 but they promised if they get the 512 within 14 days they will let me exchange it!

 

Got my blade from MS store earlier today--it's freakin beautiful and more cheaper than buying from razerstore website. What's the number you guys are calling to contact customer support and/or cancelling your orders?

im trying to buy razer blade 512 gb from microsoft online store right now. How can i get the student discount and the $100 discount? I have student how do i get the extra $100

Edit: whatever final price is 2666 for 512 gb. When i ordered from razer it was $2661 for 256GB Microsoft FTW

Before cancelling my 512 order it just got shipped.... What to do?

 

Wow. Today seems like a good day. First the Ti compendium and now the shipping confirmation for my Blade 512gb

 

For those that went the online Microsoft Store route, how long was the actual time frame between say placing the order until the confirmation (their e-mail cites 4-6 hours) and then between the e-mailed confirmation to e-mailed shipping notification (their e-mail seems to indicate they'll send another e-mail when it the item is shipped/ no specified time)? I just wanted to get an idea of how long to wait before pestering the microsoft customer support regarding movement on my order. Thanks.

 

Even though I got the delay until Monday email, they did ship mine yesterday =). 256GB ordered 4/10.

Razer shipped my 512GB pre-order. FedEx tracking says it'll arrive on Monday.

Now I have to decide if I want to keep that one, or the Microsoft Store one which has not shipped.

Anyone ever have to make use of Microsoft Complete? Does MS just ship any old device on their shelf? The Complete warranty says "or similar device"...

 

I would really like to buy it from you for the amount you payed to razer! Live in Norway and orderd from Amazon -.- What do you say?

 

Got my 512gb shipping notice... And a call from Chase Visa fraud department saying they declined the transaction. Wonder how this one will play out???

 

Probably something like a Razer intern showing up on your doorstep saying, "I want my $2699 dollars!"

Are these razer 512s going out? I ordered 3/18 and was wondering if you guys that have received you shipping confimations got delayed to Monday/when you ordered.

 

Razer. I Pre-ordered on March 12.

 

Mine was a 512GB ordered on 3/12. I received confirmation at 3am EDT on Saturday that it had shipped, along with a FedEx tracking number.

The one I ordered from the MS Store last night so far has no tracking number, it's just "in process". As much as I wouldn't mind a $200 accidental damage warranty, I probably won't make use of it and I'm not sure I trust the terms. I'll probably end up cancelling the MS Store order, or returning it (returns are free).

 

OK....I ordered 512 on MS last night, and was told that the Blade will be shipped on next Wed 5/14...because MS does not process order on weekends... I will see who ship out first... then cancel the other one...
Im sure MS will ship my order on 5/14 because they are on time...not like ridiculous razer store...

 

I ordered mine on 7 EST and order got confirmed on 8... What do you mean they don't process it? As in shipment process or order process?

I did a live chat with MS's support...the guy told me they dont do shipping process during weekends...I got my order confirmation about 30 min after i placed my order... they will process my shipment on Mon and it will be sent on Wed..

 

Heh, well, guess I'll cancel my MS order, then. Throw that fish back into the sea for someone else to catch.

 

Just out of curiosity, which shipping method did you choose?

For you people living in Ohio or closeby, the beachwood microsoft store in Cleveland has a couple 256gb, I canceled my preorder and got it there today. It was cheaper too if you had student discount.

 

So, my order has been confirmed (this is via the MS Store), but I haven't been charged yet? I used paypal, and it shows a pending transaction, but the funds haven't been pulled from my bank account yet.

Just before I confirmed on Microsoft's Store, I saw they charge tax, where Razer does not.. While it would've been nice to get it Tuesday or Wednesday, I can't justify another $140 bucks on an already way too expensive laptop

 

Razer charged me tax. That'll probably come down to what state you're in. Besides, the 5% off MS Store purchases via Bing Rewards offsets that, at least somewhat.

Technically, you're supposed to pay sales tax (if you have one) on goods bought out of state.

 

Just letting you guys know that I was able to get the 256GB laptop at my local MS store for the 10% off and the $100 off. Fantastic deal.

What's this $100 off thing people keep mentioning? It must be the "GRADUATION" coupon code? Must be only people in physical stores getting it stacked with 10% off, online won't allow that.

 

I have a 10% student discount from Razer which matches the 10% from MS I could get. My Razer receipt says 0 for tax, while MS store showed ~140 before I confirmed it.

 

The only Microsoft store I know in San Jose is at the Westfield Valley Fair, right next to Santana Row. The Microsoft store is right across Apple's. Note sure if they'd carry the blades though. I would call them first to make sure.

If your dad happens to go to San Fran, he could always pick one up at the store where they held the release event for the razer blade.

 

I'm guessing you're not getting the discount, then? Because with it, even with the tax, it's still less than at Razer. Plus shipping is cheaper.

I'm not doubting you, just pointing out why tax may be charged.

Technically, for most States one is supposed to pay a sales/use tax on anything taxable which is purchased, even if it's out of state. There's a place on one's state income tax forms where one is supposed to fill in how much one purchased that one did not pay use tax on. Practically, States are unable to enforce the use tax in general on their residents. They prefer the retailer collect the tax if applicable. That's why the states grumbled at Amazon for avoiding collection for so long. Amazon's turn-about was to deploy warehouses in states that wouldn't stop grumbling so they could speed up deliveries. The States get their taxes, but local business suffers for it.

For whatever reason, Razer's not charging you tax for your State. Either they don't have a presence in the state or they know they can get away without charging it. Some states are more ornery than others when it comes to pursuing collection of use tax by retailers. I'm charged sales tax whether or not I buy from MS or Razer. I've been happy with Razer Store's support so I chose to buy from Razer. I could've saved around $135, but eh.

 

I am in same case as the guy above me. I have student discount on both. Razer has no tax enforcement. MS does. MS has cheaper shipping... By 40 dollars. In logic, I am paying 100 dollars more to MS because of Tax

I believe Razer would charge tax once they ship out.
Let's ask those who already received their Blades ...

 

Ohhhhhhh.... I don't get the student discount from Razer, because apparently my Uni isn't a participating one. So it's quite a bit cheaper for me, by 150 bucks or so (with the tax).

 

They can only charge sales tax if they have a physical office in your state. Razer has a site in Florida, therefore they charge tax for me. Amazon has only just recently started charging tax for me because they added a distribution site here on May 1st.

NY has a law that all online purchases shipped to the state are taxable. Razer charged me tax.

 

I actually got mine at the MS store in valley fair.
