ordered 5/10 i have tracking number from MS store but it is not updated

 

Just cancelled my order.......to order from the MS store and saved a little under $300 in shipping taxes and 10% discount !

Hopefully should have it soon got the confirmation number and overnight shipping.

 

Ordered 512gb from Microsoft Store on 5/9. Shipped on 5/13 and should get here by 5/16. Preordered from Razer on 3/12 at 1500 and still not shipped so I canceled. Ridiculous. It cost me $180 more with taxes but worth for no delays after waiting over two months. Never preordering from Razer again.

They should be shipping pretty soon. I would give them a call as a gentle reminder.

 

Scheduled ship date from razer was 5/12/14. It is now 5/13 and I have yet to receive a tracking number email. So tired of this Bullsh*t.

Still waiting for my 512GB. AIt's been sitting at the airport since yesterday morning due to clearance delay - import, despite me paying FedEx yesterday giving them permission to clear my shipment.

 

My razer blade 512GB is finally out for delivery and im getting it at around 2PM!! Excited

Just got mh 512 from MS. First thing I tried speakers and screen. 4K video "Drops" on YouTube. Side to side with MacBook with Retina. Razer is better hands down. I mean, the screen is phenomenal! One bad thing. Colors shift to white when you turn to right and left. Not very nice viewing angels

Well that's not too bad. It's a laptop and a 14" screen. I don't think wide viewing angles are quite necessary.

 

Depends on the person, I personally don't care as long as the colors are perfect within 30 degrees of straight viewing angle.

MSoft came through. Got delivery of the 512 today. I would recommend folks give the Microsoft Store a try.

 

3k video =) can't wait to get mine (Thursday) but the thought of 3k res on a 14" IRL is really interesting. 4k, well, need to 3k first. My hope is modern games and apps scale okay. They did not scale well back when UXGA (1920x1200p) got popular. Can thank the broadcast TV network for giving PC monitor companies an "excuse" to standardize on the lower 1920x1080 res... For crying out loud the 1080 progressive line scan was only introduced because of the 1080 interlaced standard for your pre 2000 interlaced tube TV!!! (Sry, don't like this history...)

 

So far, it's perfectly crisp clear when you down scale it to 1080p. The only bad sign I see is chrome pixelation. Or than that, colors are super vibrants, smooth touch. Very bright screen and man this screen is Damn sharp even at 1080p

I think RB has a bit more than 3K. It lies between 3K and 4K. "1800p"

I also switched my 512 order to MSFT store... got an education discount but then that was offset with a tax vs no tax (6.5% vs 0%) and also bought the 2 year thing at msft. It arrived today. Still waiting on the official cancel notification through razer but my last email said 5/21 so I'm not too concerned. It seems kinda funny that MSFT ended up in line ahead of me.
Technically the GRADUATION code should work with the Razer as well but it doesn't and even though I spent 2 hours on the phone with msft reps, I still am reluctant that they will grant me the $100 off...even though they clearly state ANY laptop over $599 using the code gets the discount.

 

Just got my Razer Blade 512GB today! awesome laptop. sad a lot of websites/games dont support 3200x1800 yet :/

I just wanted to say thanks for all the tips and info people have posted here--even their frustrations. After spending the fall and winter reading reviews about the previous Razer's sad screen, I decided to wait for the next version. When it first popped up for pre-order, I waited until a couple people could review theirs, so that I'd know that the screen was fixed and that nothing else was horribly broken. I ordered a 256GB version on 4/30... and prepared to wait. Then when all the Microsoft Store information came out (including the 5% Bing discount; I'm not a student), I ordered one from there, and cancelled the one from the Razer store.

I've now spent my first evening with my new toy, and am partway through setting it up. Thanks to everyone for the useful information that led to my successful purchase.

Got my 256 from razor today. Calibrated, loading up the usual stuff, office, visual studio, etc. Beautiful screen. Tiny freaking text. Now just waiting another month for Elder Scrolls Online to download and I can play a game...

 

Cancelled my order with Razer also ordered from the Microsoft Store and saved about $300 on top of getting it tomorrow, all around a win win situation for me......yessssss!
Got sick and tired waiting for Razer to ship my order and really who knows if they wouldn't push the date back again.MS Store really does a much,much better job shipping out laptops quickly, placed my order yesterday and within minutes got my ordered processed and ready to ship for the next day, amazing!

You mean pixelation in Google Chrome? I've noticed that too, and that's been one of the issues mentioned a lot - that chrome suffers with the high res and scaling. But that should be fixed soon enough, hopefully.

 

I ordered from Razer on 4/25, got the notification that it shipped at 3am.

 

You can enable high dpi in chrome but for some reason it breaks grabbing the menu bar and moving Windows. You have to move it by the tab.

Finally! Razer shipped my 512 ordered on 3/29. should have it today/tomorrow :thumbsup:

 

my 512 was supposed to ship the 21st. it shipped yesterday and is out for delivery already

 

I cancelled my Razer order that's been pushed back and ordered from MS Saturday, it shipped overnight Monday and with a discount that saved a good amount over Razer directly. Crazy that razer stocked MS so well before even getting their orders out.

I wanted to share some thoughts on the screen. I've had the original RB 14, the gs60 pro, the p34g v2, and now the new blade. I think the new blade screen is great! The GS60 pro and p34gv2 IPS screens were fantastic, and the razer is very similar. It beats the p34gv2, and ties the gs60 pro, except for viewing angles. The razer viewing angles are still good though, and even at nearly sideways its still visible. The colors don't shift if I move slightly in my chair like the old one, so I'm really happy about that.

Resolution wise, I tried a few things at native vs 1920x1080. Videos, high res images, Borderlands 2 and metro 2033. I have 20/20 vision so no bad eyes lol.. I honestly couldn't tell much difference on any of them, I really had to switch back and forth resolutions to pick up minute improvements in quality. In the games, simply turning up settings looked nicer than the higher res at lower settings. That's just my preference though, they both were very close. I'll be running it at 1920x1080 primarily.

Now to figure out if 256gb is enough storage lol.. looks like it will be.

I think razer did a great job, and with 10% off the price gets much more reasonable.

He used the education discount, which nets you 10% off your order. Microsoft doesn't seem to check whether or not you're truly a student.

 

FYI, for those ordering from the Microsoft store, if you want the awesome warranty deal, do it with your purchase. It's a PAIN to get it after you order. Went through 3 reps and took 45 minutes.

Yes!!! I'm happy to report that I'm writing this from my brand new 512GB Rader Blade! Only thing I've noticed so far (and I know I'm OCD) is the Razer emblem on the lid has some small scratches in the clear plastic by the snake's tongue (upper right) when the light hits it right (like micro cracks right in the plastic). Otherwise a perfect unit so far. Anyone else find the Blade really dusty when they got it? There was dust all under the plastic wrapped around the unit, which was static clinging to the clear plastic.

Still waiting for my free mouse coupon (ordered March 15th and got the first email.) I emailed Razer yesterday, but no reply yet.

 

Sorry, I let it sit in my wood shop for a while and forgot to dust it off before I sent that one back to Razer! (j/k) I don't remember noticing any dust on mine when I got it.

 

Had to go pick up my Razer Blade from the FedEx depot. Home now, and I have a shiny new 512GB sitting in front of me!

I am an avid graphics laptop enthusiast, and my Sony Vaio Z has been served as a testament for over four years. Despite my long hours of heavy gaming on this ridiculously-thin laptop (for its time), it is still in good shape. It has served me very well. However, I am planning to put it into semi-retirement as I will receive the new Blade tomorrow.

I also got a shipping confirmation today! I ordered the 512 Gb version from Razer Store the 27th of april. And got a date to be shipped the 23rd of May. So they are starting to catch up.

Microsoft store has been giving me errors for the last day, this is just silly.

 

So has anyone received their Blades and NOT received a shipping notice?

I placed my order on 3/12 for both a Blade and a Blade Pro. My status still shows "In Process". I got an email last Friday (5/9) that it'd ship on 5/12, but I haven't received word since. I called on Tuesday and they said they didn't have any updates from the warehouse and to try back tomorrow. Well, as many of you probably know they were "closed" yesterday for a company meeting, and "closed" today for the brush fires.

Just curious if anyone else is in the same boat and has been surprised by a package arriving or if Razer is still just sucking it up with the fulfillment.

Seems like you got screwed. I ordered a 512 on 4/25 and got it yesterday. Unless the SSD config you ordered is out and they happened to have 512's come in.

 

Could all just be delayed because of the fires, or maybe because one of the items in your order wasn't ready to ship. Razer mentions in their emails that they won't ship your order until all items in that order are ready to go.
