I hope they end up shipping some Wednesday so we can finally start seeing some reviews popping up. :)

    Totally agree!
The delays have been making me look for alternatives, the more I look at the W230SS the better it's starting to look.
Razer is still my first choice but the CLEVO is a close second. C'mon Razer no more delays!

Yup exactly, paid with paypal, they have had over $3k of mine for a long time :(

This delay is getting ridiculous considering they constantly move it back and keeps on getting my hopes up :(

I ordered on 4/5. I was slightly irritated at the delay from 4/16 to 4/23. But now that they've delayed again to 4/29 I'm getting really irritated. I plan on calling tomorrow to complain (like its going to change anything lol). If it happens again I'll be furious.

I ordered 4/1 and I think I am stuck in the 4/30 ship group for my 256gb, keeping my fingers crossed for no further delays. Unfortunately I think because I ordered after the 1st I wasn't in the mouse coupon group, but for those of you that already have an Orochi and don't need your coupon, I would be happy to take it off your hands

It definitely looks like anyone who ordered in April will most likely get the second wave. For a niche device that's only expected. Pre-orders went up March 12th. If you're pre-ordering 3-4 weeks later, there is no gurantee that dates won't slip as production ramps up. It never happens with say a basic Dell laptop, but that's because Dell is producing thousands knowing that the businesses they sell to will buy thousands. Razer on the other hand has to be more cautious. I've seen this with countless niche devices from companies like Fujitsu, Sharp, etc.

If your original shipping date was 4/4/2014 you should email and ask for the mouse coupon.

Like the others on this thread, I have the Blade 2014 (512gb model, ordered 3/21) on order, with a ship date of 4/23 and the latest email apologizing and offering a coupon for the gaming mouse. I was just hopping from one site to another checking prices on other models of gaming laptops, and noticed that iBuyPower was experiencing a delay for laptops ordered with the GTX 870M GPU part. Their ordering website gives an expected ship date of 5/15 for units ordered with this part.

I realize this is just idle speculation, and have no evidence that this is the cause of Razer's delay, but I thought it was interesting. If NVidia is experiencing delays with this part, it might be disrupting the supply chain for other makers as well. I have noticed that there seems to be very little supply for any maker's models containing this part, with several other makers/resellers quoting backorders or no delivery dates at all (MSI, etc.).

I'm pretty sure all the 512gb models were delayed to 4/29/2014. I pre-ordered on 3/12/2014 12:48 p.m. est. Basically within the first hour of announcement.

I wonder if they just produced the 128gb and 256gb models first since it seems some people didn't get pushed back to 4/29/2014...

I ordered 3/15, 128gb version. I'm still getting 4/23 on the website but I wouldn't be surprised if we got pushed back as well seeing how it's been and the wording from the orochi email

Its odd that they'd only push back some of the 128GBs and not all at the same time. At this point I'd assume the 4/23 date is a safe bet. Doesn't make sense to do all this specific date shuffling to drop the ball now.

At this point, with all of the delays and lack of communication, they may just being "hoping" it comes in in time to ship out tomorrow, but are waiting until the last minute to change the date.

I hope this isn't the case. Having $2,700+ in the hands of someone else, for a month, with no official communication is really starting to make me worry about their brand awareness and attention to customers. Like if my laptop breaks...is this the type of service I can expect on that $300 warranty I purchased with the Blade?

But it's not like Razer is a brand new company. Their track record as far as warranty and services goes is pretty clear at this point. And so far they seem to be doing a pretty decent job, no worse then other gaming PC companies.

If it is the 870m delays that's causing issues I could somewhat understand the hush hush. You usually don't throw a parts provider under the bus. Though customs is plausible too. Definitely had electronics held up in customs for months at a time in the past, though you think they would have worked that out with round 1.

I ordered the 512 GB on 4/6. With my status page originally showing 4/16 release, slipped to 4/23 and last I looked, 4/29. Razer support and I have been exchanging emails. I finally asked for a mouse comp. The way they frame it, below, is quite smart. Wait for your laptop to ship and then get your free mouse. The unwritten part is, cancel your order and no free mouse for you. Nice little carrot for me to follow.

So if you ordered before I did, and you've got no mention of a free mouse, I suggest you ask, nicely. I asked in a manner I hoped made clear, I want my laptop, until then I want answers, but hey if you are giving away mice, I'll take one of those.

Was just on the phone with the Razer Support and apparently they are starting shipping out tomorrow. The holdout was customs related. Also I ordered mine on 15/3 and I will be in the first batch of those receiving the Blade.

    " Hi Artem,

Depending on when you placed your order, as the first batch will be out tomorrow. Afterwards, we will be fulfilling everyone else, so if you place your order today, more likely your Blade will be shipped around May. Please let us know if you have any other questions in a reply to this e-mail, and have a great day.

    Best Regards,

My guess would be that the 512GBs just aren't going out until 4/29. It's not like my 128GB was switched to 4/29 and then back to 4/23.

This is sort of related, and since it's my first post please tell me if this is out of place. Anyways, I ordered my Blade 512GB on the 29th of March, and I'd like to get the free Orochi that Razer offered to those who had to sit through the delays. However, the problem is that I ordered it via Amazon. Has anyone had any luck coercing Razer to give them a code?

I wouldn't look at Amazon as an alternate to receiving product earlier than Razer. The fact is that Amazon is a distributor for Razer. Meaning whether you place your order through the Razer store or Amazon, depending upon your location your product will most likely ship from an Amazon warehouse. Thus Amazon is suffering from the same customs issue as Razer as they are waiting on thw same shipment. Also their priority to is fulfill Razer Store orders first then Amazon orders thus the reason there is a short lag between both.

Right. But my point was if Amazon's delivery date slipped because lack of communication/oversight from Razer, you may be able to argue that it was Razers fault. Razer sometimes honors such things. But if Amazon's delivery date was the end of April and it hasn't changed, you really have no argument, yet anyway.

If Razor does not begin to ship fast, other tempting options will pop up soon. Especially something like the new Toshiba 4K laptop, which ships tomorrow.

Since it is an estimate they are not responsible for offering you anything. Wait after the date and ask them about it. That would be my advice.

Here's what I received when I contacted Razer:

Well, I don't mind waiting a little more (i.e. next month) since I ordered so late. I actually was waiting for reviews, I expected them to be out by this time. Secondly, I was also planning to hold out until WWDC to see if Apple would release a half-decent MacBook Pro with a GTX 860M, since Maxwell is much more power-efficient. But then I decided that Apple will be Apple, and a GTX-series Nvidia chip in a MacBook Pro will never come to fruition(unless they do put a GTX 860M in this year's rMBP, in which case, well...) I like and need OS X, so I will likely be hackintoshing this laptop. Hopefully there's another M.2 slot.

P.S. those who were offered Orochis, but already have one, I'd be happy to take yours... But feel free to give it to those who asked first.

Agreed. Razer really might do something for you past the 29th date if you contact support and explain that you really expected the device in April. Then it's still a long shot...

Amazon lists the 256gb model as being in stock on the 28th. Previously they gave a range. Say what you will about amazon but they have a ridiculously efficient supply chain. They wouldn't throw up a date like that unless they were sure.

Anxiously waiting for these to be released so someone can pop one open and see exactly what size M.2 is in there and if there is indeed another slot. The 480GB Crucial M.2 is going for about $250 right now but not sure if it fits.

From the reviews I have read/seen about the blade's competition, they are all using the new M.2 format as well.
