    2014 Razer Blade 14 Ship Date thread

    My dilemma is that I only ordered last week, but since then I got a 10% off coupon code. I'd have to cancel and reorder if I want the 219.99 off. You guys think there'd be that many people who ordered in just this last week?

    The other thing is with this code, I can get a 256GB for less than a 128GB by a little bit. Do I order the 256GB for the cheaper price? Or get the 128GB and save a good amount? My indecisiveness will be the death of me.

    Get the 256gb. 128 is very limited if you have a moderate game collection.

    Hell, titanfall alone was 48gb!

    My first post on here! Also my order status just changed as well. My order status is "Order in Process" and the bottom red text is also gone. I ordered a 256 gb on 3/31.

    My status changed, as well. Then ...

    I got an email saying the 128GB is on back order.

    Spoke to CS yesterday, and they said that the first pre order wave was expected to ship at the end of April/start of May, and that the second wave was going out mid-May. Guess he was probably right!

    Where did you get the 10% off code? I tried to use a general code I got and it would not let me apply it. I asked CS about it and they didnt give me a straight answer.

    No love for the 512gb version :( It still says that it will be shipped after 4/29. That really sucks but at least some people can give some first impressions I guess.

    Razer has a 10% student discount, but they took it down on April 10th and are telling people it doesn't work with pre-orders. I had trouble with the service and emailed them about it just before they took it down, I got a code yesterday. Definitely worked with my pre-order though, as I was able to place a new order for a 256GB model and got $240 off.

    That's terrible. In Singapore, the Blade starts from $3299. That's about $2630 USD. Students here, like myself, can't afford that much cash in one go... The amount of persuasion I had to do with my parents was... A lot. They already limited the schools that could use the discount, and now they're cancelling it altogether? Although the Blade seems great I feel I may want to cancel my order. Their customer service also seems to be somewhat patchy, according to reports here (although I'm not sure how true they are).

    Hopefully. Now, I just have to sit back and wait until the 29th. Meanwhile, those who are receiving your Blades, please try to do a decent review, and a photo with the bottom cover off, and mainly, state if it comes with a second M.2 slot!

    Personally I would use the student discount on the 128GB. With the money saved you could buy a Square Trade warranty AND a 480GB SSD for the laptop and still be under the 512GB cost. Of course that just depends on whether you feel comfortable opening up the system.

    As for actual shipping dates, I'm not sure what other people had for their "red" message but mine said the laptop would ship "after the release date of 4/23". My interpretation is that mine will most likely ship between 4/23 and 4/29 (the next date). I really hope it ships today of course, but I don't think anyone's message said "your device is shipping on...".

    Just being cautious with my expectations.

    Yeah I got the same email as well for my 256GB. It says ships in 3-4 weeks now.

    Kinda funny, but this same thing happened when I ordered my phone (5S). Ordered day it came out, and the ship date kept getting extended a week or so at a time. I was a little late to the Razer game here but hopefully they optimize and do better than their estimated shipping. May just seems so far away :(

    Well I just added one to my cart just to see what the current projection is, and it says:

    Which tells me that the release date has been pushed back until 5/9. I'm hoping I'm wrong, because I know y'all are really anticipating your machines... I guess we'll see today, huh?

    I wouldn't equate the ship date for a new order today, to the release date for pre=orders from weeks ago.

    It would be nice to hear something today, but our order only said "after the release date of 4/23". So I would hope to hear something within the next week unless it gets delayed. I'm trying to be positive, since this is the furthest along my order has ever been. "Being processed", and not showing a future date any longer on my order page.

    Hmmm. Not really sure where you got "release date has been pushed back" from "may be delayed until". The message most likely means that based on quantity produced each run, it is likely that you're in the 3rd/4th run which "may" not ship until 5/9. I could be wrong, but nothing in that message translates to pushed back release date.

    Preordered the first day, within hours of announcement, still says in process, and in my junk mail folder I found the delayed 2-3 weeks email from razer. Yeah....

    So I suspect all orders have been pushed back, would like to be wrong, but would be surprised if I am in the second batch.

    Mine (128GB) does not have that "estimated shipping period" section, so the way I read mine, it will ship anytime, which also matches the order status page where it doesn't say backordered in red at the bottom anymore.

    I had the order total held (pre-auth'ed?) on my credit card until, well, until the last time I checked before today. And today it's gone. Does that mean I'll have to process the charge once again? Anyone else seeing the same thing?

    Btw, I received the same email as everyone else this morning ("Product on backorder..."). Ordered on 3/30.

    When it says "There are pre-order item(s) in the cart. Shipment of the ordered items may be delayed until 5/9/2014" It's the same syntax they used prior to every other release date push back since the beginning of April, so while I HOPE I'm wrong, and I HOPE we all start seeing posts along the lines of "YAY, it shipped!"
    I'm reserving judgement.

    I believe there is a limit to the number of days a pre-auth can sit without clearing. If I'm not mistaken it differs based on the bank/card.

    So I was on the phone with Razer again and apparently they should start shipping out today. Also whatever they receive will be shipped immediately and the second batch will be shipped 4/29.

    Just for general information too, the website order status doesn't say anything for me about the back order and there is no bold red writing beneath. The only indication of back order is the email. Mine also has the "Order in Process".

    I suspected that was the case (I was actually wondering what the expiration time was going to be for mine). I'm just wondering if they'll be able to charge me again, or if I need to contact them and process a new charge. I guess I'll ask their support about that.

    Strange, I got a similar e-mail at 12:30 AM last night but mine did not contain the two lines with the 3-4 week estimate. That may be the timeline for batch #2 seeing how you ordered yours April 3. I ordered a 256 GB March 15 (day 3) and the most recent date I've gotten so far was 4/23. My order currently says "Order in Process" but since the date was pushed back last week Razer support seems less willing to give estimates on when it will ship. Also for those wondering, I contacted them about using my Orochi code for a Mamba and explained that I'm a palmer w/ 8" hands. They said they would trade me my Orochi code for a discount on the Mamba but only after I receive both my Blade and my code.

    Where is this magical phone number that people are calling and talking to people that actually know what they are talking about? I keep getting a call center and the "they haven't told us anything" excuse time and time again.

    First time around I got redirected to another guy and this time he said what I stated before.

    If everyone that got the "text" email will check their options and click "show original" you will see that we ALL have the "Estimated Shipping" clause in there.

    My guess is that this is just template text used when they send out these types of messages. If you will recall, when you purchased the laptop initially, the subtext under the total read "ships in 3-4 weeks" no matter WHEN you ordered it. Feel free to go to the site now, it's still there.

    My initial thoughts is that if you got an email last night like many of us are reporting, then your laptop will be shipping out shortly.

    My email definitely doesn't have the estimated shipping clause. This is the email I got and it says the exact same thing in "show original" just with a bunch of html:

    It should be noted I use Gmail in case that's what's screwing me up.

    Edit- I went through all the HTML code and turns out it is in there about 1/3 of the way through. I obviously wasn't looking hard enough. My mistake haha

    I was one who got the back order email for my 128GB with the 3-4 week delay. I emailed support and they are saying it will ship out today. :confused:

    Here's to hoping for the best, I guess.
