    Oh thats great news about the mamba! I didn't like my first orochi at all and don't really like gaming with it. It was great for a throw in the laptop bag and pull out when the touch pad was driving me nuts option but other than that hated the feel hated the tracking hated the lag.

    Getting pumped about the laptop possibly shipping, but nothing on my CC yet.

    You guys have been so helpful, so in return, if you guys want since I ordered early and it seems my 128gb version will ship today, I'll open it up with pictures and clarify how many m.2 ssd slots there are and anything else you guys want to see.

    That would be awesome!!! I would have been hesitant to do that with mine until my SquareTrade warranty goes through. It'd be nice to KNOW there are upgrade possibilities BEFORE opening it up.

    That said, It still looks like mine is cleared for today, just waiting for some form of shipping notification/email.

    I got order in Process too and i ordered my 128gb march 30.
    But the email i received today states.
    one or more of the products you ordered is currently unavailable and cannot be shipped.

    how does that make sense? My order is in process i should be with the first badge, the red information about getting shipped after a release date is gone. Yet i receive an email telling me the same again that its not available???

    The way I understood the email was that they are starting to process my order, and yes it was still on backorder at the moment they sent the email, but should be shipping soon as it's coming off backorder. Or maybe I just read too much into it and really want it to ship soon lol.

    I'm just confirming what all of us who purchased the 512gb already know...

    I told Razer Support that I heard the first batches were being shipped today and asked what happened to my 512gb order.

    Their response:
    Overall a very nice response from them, so meh... the waiting continues.

    I'd like to be wrong, but at this point the chance of them actually "shipping" something today (as in giving it to a delivery company) seems slim. If the warehouse is on the west coast, they have another 5 hours, and my card hasn't been charged yet.

    The real check for anyone is if your card gets charged. I can't see the picking or packing operations starting until after the charge. And it can't get out the door until it's picked and packed. :p

    I called CS to check the status of my order again. They said that my 128GB wouldn't be shipping out until after May 6th. Absolutely ridiculous, for $2,200 I'd expect a LOT better customer service. Over a month of delays and run-around regarding the ship date. Not what I'd expect for the price ... Likely going to order a cheaper alternative that I can actually get before 2015.

    I just called Razer. The CSR told me they all just received an update on what exactly is happening:

    "Everyone received a backorder email because there was more orders than units that would be available and it's the only way our system could handle it."

    He then proceeded to tell me that my blade should ship out today. I ordered a 128GB on March 27th. I asked if the "Boxed Shipment" status on the order page was accurate and he stated yes, that's the most relevant piece of information to look at. So, if you see a "Boxed Shipment" it should ship out today or tomorrow. He did state that as a result of the large amount of shipping that their warehouse might not be able to get everything out today. Their email system operates on a 24-hour basis, so if it shipped today you'll get a shipping confirmation email tonight around midnight EST and if it ships tomorrow the same formula would apply. Good luck, and I hope I get the confirmation tonight!

    Edit: Sorry, it does say "Boxed Shipment". I said "Boxed for shipment" over the phone and he agreed, so maybe he misheard or didn't catch what I said. I didn't notice the "Boxed Shipment" there before, but maybe I missed it. The red print that stated the shipping would be delayed is no longer there, so maybe that's what people should focus on or just call in at 855-872-5233. He looked up my place "in line" to let me know where I stood.

    I hate to say it but that "boxed shipment" has said that since the day I ordered it. I don't think he knows what he's talking about and was just reaching.

    I am not past order in progress. I was referring to the "Order Information" page info.

    Edit: Their system updates on a 24-hour cycle, so I doubt anyone will be until midnight.

    Also had a lenghty conversation with their CSR and told them that their communication with customers for this cost of product is utter crap. I ordered March 22nd I was informed that there would be an approximate 3-4 week delay but ONLY got that number because I literally spent an hour on the phone with various people.

    I too will be reviewing other replacement laptops now that will not require I go through another round of company lies as to release date. They need a new PR manager or a CEO who understands what a release date is and how to communicate when it is missed...especially if it is now their reputation to miss release dates.

    Any recommendations on other laptops to check out?

    ROFL. What "lies"? I've had delays with every major electronics company, so good luck! I also don't understand why just because something is expensive that they're supposed to floss your butt with gold or something. I've gotten better customer service before true, but I've also had much worse with other companies buying more expensive devices (Fujitsu, MSI, etc.). Breathe people!

    I just got this e-mail from Razer CS. Not sure if it's actually credible, since the delay date that was e-mailed to me was pushed from 4/25 to 4/30.

    "Greetings,

    Thank you for contacting Razer. It looks like the estimated ship date that we have for you is April 25th. We will indeed keep you posted on any updates on your order. Once your order has been shipped an email notification will be sent, along with tracking information to track your package.     I pre-ordered my razer blade on 3/28, by the way.

    Yeah I agree. There's nothing to get overly concerned about. This actually isn't the worst wait. It is understandable that it sucks but just think how great it will be when it gets here. I've waited a long time for everything from cars to phones. It's just the way things are.

    I will say that they probably should either improve their communication but it's not the worst I've seen.

    Try 3 month delay on a Fuji laptop with NO customer service response besides "it will be released soon". I've had issues with Dell and Asus in the past too. If your willing to preorder and be an early adopter, sometimes there are just delays. Most companies don't give a specific reason. They aren't going to throw Nvidia under the bus for shortages of 870ms just like they're not going to go into great detail with the exact issues at customs. Sometimes you just have to be patient. And a month delay is definitely not the worst. I'm honestly shocked they've been this transparent about date slips and notifying users PLUS throwing in a free mouse!

    I was never offered ANYTHING for any of this and honestly just because you guys seem to have collectively bad experiences waiting upwards of 3 months for a product does not mean its good, it means you are accepting of bad so they will keep doing it.

    I was serious when I asked if anyone had any recommended alternatives. In a world where 16 months can make something near obsolete 3 month delays are significant not to mention the poor communication.

    Also, my backorder e-mail contained NO estimated date. It was not until I spent over an hour with CSR's that I got a 4 week estimate on when they would know a new date.

    Feel free to disagree with my opinions but I doubt I am alone in how I feel.

    If they don't charge your card, it isn't going to ship. That will be a lot more real-time than waiting for their web site to update.

    In order to charge your card their system has to realize your blade has shipped...Relatively sure their site will be first.

    Has anyone ordered the new razer blade to canada recently. The website says 09/05 delivery for Canada and 05/09 for the US. I'm wondering if that's a mistake or a coincidence.
    I emailed support, but who knows when they will reply..

    What can I say. I'm a cheap miser who bought a really expensive laptop and decided to have it shipped cross country by FedEx mule, haha.

    Its OK. I'm right there with yah. Look at it this way. If early received units burst into flames, we'll have ample opportunity to refuse shipping!
