FedEx be slacking. UPS is my shipper of choice. Sometimes even get things a day early. Not to mention during the snow storm all of my UPS shipments made it through OK, Fedex delays... Maybe I'm just bitter. Drive faster FedEx truck!

Free shipping and I'll get it on Monday, not bad at all! Sucks it needs a signature though.

If you sign a piece of paper and leave it on the door telling them a secure place to leave it, they'll just take the paper instead

I ordered on day 1 and mine shipped for delivery today. I thew a fit with the razer shipping coordinator because I'm going on vacation Friday for like 10 days. So they even gave me free overnight apparently.

Its the 256gb version and I'm popping in a 512gb m500 m.2 sata drive when I get home.

Does anyone who bought from Amazon have a estimated delivery date better than May 13th? I bought mine from there in hopes that it would be processed before they start charging sales tax in my state(May 1). I'm keeping it open until May 1st, otherwise I'll just wait for the 128GB from Razer themselves.

"This order will be shipped after the release date of 5/23/2014 for The New Razer Blade - 512GB"

Mine pushed to 05/23 from the original 05/09 ... damn it :(

It was a PITA, I had to first call. Then the Minion created some special ticket which i then waited for 24hrs. Then they told me that the order could not be changed at all. I replied with another angry email saying they will need to hold off shipping it till the 5th then. After all that the shipping coordinator said he would see what he could do.

Looks like i should get it in the next hour or two.

Since you may very well be the first to get it (and report it here) would you be willing to either run some software to try to verify how many SSD sockets its has or even *gasp* open it up and check for us?

If I knew what I needed I would like to order a couple 512GB drives today and get them on the way to me but can't until I'm sure what fits and how many sockets.

So I'd preordered from amazon (regretting this now) on the 23rd of March. They gave me an estimated delivery date from the 15 to the 24th of April. Got an email this morning saying they wouldn't be able to deliver it and the new estimate is June 06, 2014 - June 24, 2014... Did anyone else order from amazon and actually get it shipped?

Good work. I guess I won't even try since I'm not going to gamble by saying - "Well, you need to hold it off then!". I should have ordered next day, but I thought I'd use the money saved for peripherals =P

What size did you order? If you ordered it Mar23rd I would worry to much, you should get it in the next week or two. I'm sure that Amazon just has a generic late period to the latest delivery estimate. There's no reason they should be any later than Razer, because they are just facilitating orders for Razer.

Are you sure about this? I figured that Razer would probably fulfill direct orders from their website before sending any to Amazon unless they had a pre-arranged agreement. I ordered a 256GB model on April 7th and my ship date is May 14-28.

I was kinda joking :) But if you really do want to help out, I would rather you run this portable version (no install needed) of HWInfo64. It gives a lot of hardware details on a system. http://www.hwinfo.com/files/hw64_436.zip

I think the top questions would be:
    1. How is the SSD socket listed? (M.2 SATA we have been assuming, not sure if it may possibly accept PCIe or not, or if there is a 2nd socket, and is it the same as the primary or maybe eSATA etc)
    2. Brand and model of SSD installed
    3. Default clocks for the 870m (would let us know if it's "gimped" from factory or is running full stock clocks anyway)

If you did want to run a benchmark, 3dmark11 would be my preference as I can relate to the number best. There are a lot of available benchmarks though. This one would have to be installed though and is a larger download.

Hey don't feel obligated or anything to do all of this if you are not comfortable. Especially something like opening it up, which can void your warranty. A lot of people here are just excited and just want to get some answers which is fine. But you don't need to throw yourself into an unfamiliar area or download things you don't want to. I'm okay with you just putting up some in game screenshots or fps and maybe some temperature estimates.

In fact, go enjoy your new laptop. :)

Download 3DMark11 and run that. It would also be great to know your thoughts on the cooling system noise while benchmarking and playing a decently intense game. Make sure you have it on a flat surface! Enjoy.

Edit: also.. I think you are feeling sick.. Right.. Like you need to go home and "rest"..

So I just got off the phone with a very pleasant guy named Sean who told me that it was scheduled to ship yesterday and he believes mine probably just got caught up in the mass volume and had to be moved to today. As others have mentioned they work on a 24hr system so no email until tonight if it actually went out. Sad panda as i will be in Boston all next week and won't see it until Friday night.

My experience with Amazon is they usually project very conservative dates. I ordered the TX300 a year back and it shipped a month before they estimated and long before anyone else. It really surprised me because I was considering cancelling. Rarely are they late unless the Manufacturer delays the product by a matter of months.

Last year's amazon orders were much later than the orders from Razer directly, as you might expect. As in until it was off back order on Razer, amazon got nothing.

This year is likely to be no different.

The longer this goes on, the more angry I get now... Ordering on March 12, 12:48 p.m. EST apparently doesn't matter (from viewing it as someone who ordered the 512gb version) because people who ordered the 128gb or 256gb versions are getting them first regardless if you ordered a 516gb before them.

I don't think they would just mass produce 2 variants (128gb / 256gb) and produce no 516gb variants without other reasons.
At this point I think something had to be wrong with production at this point if they decided to not produce any 512gb after all the delays.

Or they just prioritized sizes based on demand. It'd be interesting to start a poll to see who ordered what, though I'm sure the majority of people who visit these forums probably ordered larger sizes. So this is how it works, in most small production lines:

    Demand for 128GB: 1000
    Demand for 265GB: 500
    Demand for 512GB: 5

Production order would look something like:
    200 128s
    200 256s
    200 128s
    200 256s
    5 512s

This is what a production line looks like on small run, multiple configuration, non-parellel production lines. It doesn't necessarily mean there are production issues (although it is possible the 512GBs SSDs have issues).

Also, I'm not sure where you got this "people are getting them regardless of when they ordered from" The majority of devices shipped are orders from right after release until mid-end of March, both the 128GB and 256GB. The people waiting are mostly those who ordered after. It probably varies across all 3 configs.
