Yours was also a RB Pro? I also ordered (7/1) when the estimate was 5-7 days for a 256 but now it says "2-3 weeks".
I'd be tempted to cancel and get the 512 if they could tell me that it would actually ship. The website says "Limited stocks available" and "Ships in 2-3 weeks". What does that mean??

I know there is little that can be done, as they are probably waiting on parts that are backordered themselves (just conjecture). That doesn't mean I can't be disappointed they dropped the ball - timing was important to me as this was a gift for my son (coordinated with other events going on) and I chose to believe their expected ship date when I ordered.
Again, nothing I can do (but complain) but I'm eagerly watching these threads for signs of people receiving shipping notices for this model.
-
Ordered from Razer on 24 June, received a shipping confirmation last night at 2 am, arrived at my door this morning. Still unboxing and stuff right now. I got the 512 GB version.
-
I ordered mine when the website said 5-7 days to ship. That was perfect given my family situation (gift for my son). Then it was changed to 2-3 weeks days after I ordered. No matter, I understand it happens. I'm just am disappointed (as is my son) but we will continue to wait. -
The problem is that at the time of my order the website said "In Stock". I decided to order the most expensive model with the thought that not many people would be willing to spend that much cash and my chances of an accurate shipping prediction by the system would be higher.
-
I ordered the 17" 128GB version.
I'm hoping that I'm in the same boat as you and that they shipped my order out and are just delayed on sending out confirmations. -
Just want to put my word in as a Razer Blade Pro 17" 128GB buyer. Order Submitted June 23. Said to be shipped on release date July 15 (originally July 8). Still waiting and hoping it will be shipped during the week of the 15th.

Seriously, good luck to everyone out there waiting; I waited a month on Amazon, no dice. Ordered through the Razer site, and it came in the same week. Crazy, these new product launches. -
But anyways thanks for your answer and genuine congrats on your good fortune, hopefully we'll all be there too in some not too distant future. -
Does anyone know how to enable two finger tap as right click on this laptop??
And when I do two finger scrolling, as I lift one finger up to stop scrolling the computer still keeps scrolling with one finger. Is this even normal? -
I got my replacement 256 14" Blade this afternoon. I had sent back my original unit a week ago, as the display had 5 dead pixels and the track bad was pretty horrible. This one is much improved. Unfortunately it still has a stuck pixel near the middle of the display. You can't see it at a normal viewing angle, but off angles you can see it easily. It's a bright white dot, that light is pouring out of and streaking around the other pixels. At the right viewing angle though it's not visible. I'm going to contact Razer tonight and tell them about it. I can't imagine I'm the only one having any issue with dead or stuck pixels. I'll run a stuck pixel video tonight and see if it fixes that guy, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I would suggest anyone who has the 14" Blade run the Windows Display Calibration Tool. The display is so bright you can turn down the gamma SIGNIFICANTLY. This will give you much better black levels than how it come stock. Besides the stuck pixel, I'm happy with my first few hours with the machine. I'll write up a more in-depth message later. -
Do note: There's a bug with the Pro Media Player SBUI app + the tapping feature of the trackpad. Every time you start the Media Player app, it disables the trackpad's tapping which you have to manually enable every time. -
I think the Orochi 2013 would be a great companion mouse for this, but does anyone know the battery drain impact Bluetooth would have on the Blade 14?
If its 5-10mins, I won't care but anything above 30mins and I might just go with the VX Nano or something similar. -
Nothing there.
Tried updating driver through windows update but nothing and I can't manually install the driver for some reason. -
The 1202 wireless card is a half card right? can you replace it, with an intel 7260 for example?, thanks
-
-
Cool, thanks, plan to keep warranty for a few months to make sure there are no manufacturing defects then repaste with ic diamond to help temps, maybe add a second ssd, etc, can anyone compare the stock 1202 wireless card to its intel competitors? as my house contains double brick walls i would like to know how it handles range and obstructions, thanks again.

Since there is no dedicated shipping thread...
Ordered blade 512 in June, had to cancel because I just moved 4500 miles cross country, and it wasn't shipped by the first week of July. If I wasn't there didn't think I could forward so I reordered July 3rd about 5am est. I just received shipping confirmation, says it will be here by next Friday. (Takes a little longer to get to Alaska from Canada I guess, although I just did the drive from nyc in 6 days but whatever)

It's great to hear of a lot of members getting their Blade 14's. Just where are the other Pro owners! Lol.
-
For those who've received their Blade 14's how's the 1.3 MP webcam btw?
-
Ordered my 512GB on July 4th.... just got the shipping confirmation today!
Can't Wait!!! -
My 14 256 should be here today. Ill fool around with it and give my 2 cents.
-
I ordered the 14" on June 7, it finally shipped on July 3 and was delivered on the 5th. Almost a whole month's wait.

Received my Blade 14 today. Overall impressed with the laptop. Screen is not great, but after reading the reviews and the posts on this forums I was expecting much worse. Very comparable to the screen on the late 2009 MB. The keyboard to me feels a little cheap, but it types very well. I like the trackpad, almost as good as the one on my old Macbook and better than any I've used on a windows laptop. The speakers are great, and the build quality and power supply are excellent.
One question, how do you tell that this thing is charging or is charged without turning it on? I plugged in the power supply to the wall outlet and the light turned green, and I plugged it into my unused laptop and it remained green and no other lights turned on. After playing with the laptop for a while, I checked the battery and it said 97% charging, and it recently became fully charged. I unplugged it then and again, the light remained green, as it was the entire time it was charging, keeping the battery level at 100%, and disconnected. -
Hmm how disappointed in screen on scale 1 to 10?
-
So I'm downloading games now, but I'm a bit disappointed with the idle temperature of the outside of the laptop. Even on power saver, the portion near the screen is really hot, and overall the laptop is a bit warm. I expected it to be cool except when gaming. Anyone know how to control the fans manually to keep it a bit cooler on idle? I also am very impressed with the screen. From straight on, I think it looks better than my LG IPS 1440p screen. Side to side, the viewing angles are pretty good! Up and down, not so much, but hey - that's why the screen tilts. It also has a few defective pixels, so I will be getting a replacement.
-
-
Im scared to get one of these now. Dead pixels, high idle temps, finicky trackpad, and bad drivers as of now. I think i'll get a refurbished MBPr for college and wait till the blade 14" gets refreshed. 1599$ for a refurbished MBPr is a good deal. Will just have to play console games while at college.

Got my 256gb Blade 14 today. I impressed with a number of things. Firstly, I love the keyboard. It feels much like the MacBook Pro keyboard, which, to me, is a good thing. The trackpad is also very responsive and accurate so far as well. Webcam didn't seem to be anything to brag about, seems pretty standard. The computer does get warm, though. I am downloading Guild Wars 2 at the moment, and the front of the computer is definitely warm, not uncomfortable, but the front near the screen is VERY warm, basically hot to the touch, however, this isn't noticeable because I have the laptop on a table. Viewing angles on the screen don't seem as bad as everyone has been saying. The screen seems good to me. It could be better, definitely, but I think it is not bad at all. I also appreciate the touch to click feature on the mouse pad, it seems very responsive, so does the two-finger scroll. I am impressed with the speakers as well, they seem very crisp and loud. Build quality overall is incredible, on par with the MacBook Retina.
-
Before gaming I dimmed the screen and applied the profile someone posted here and things got better, beyond acceptable so to speak.
Viewing angles up/down is probably the worst thing about it unless you manage to stay in the same position when using the Blade, you will be adjusting it frequently. Guess not taking it to the couch or bed for movies and such. Which is a shame since due to the size portability I guess everyone will be inclined to be taking it everywhere... Keeping it in the same position goes against the idea of having a smaller form factor to carry it around instead of having a bigger laptop stationed at the desk.
Right and left angles are ok... I don't really like people peaking at my screen anyways
Temps when idle surprised me, it operates close to hot. It is quite hot now in Orlando but the air conditioning in the room is on so... I also tried to elevate the back part with the help of 2 coke caps and it seemed to help a little but nothing major.
Same bad pixel problems for me, there is like a cluster of them right in the middle...
Unfortunately I will not be able to wait for a replacement as I am leaving the country on Wednesday.
Would I keep it if it wasn't for the bad pixels? Yes. The machine looks and feels g r e a t. Tried a couple of games and they run smoothly. Launch apps with ease and couldn't find anything that it couldn't handle.
Needless to say that I am f........ mad.
EDIT: is everyones trackpad's buttons way too wiggly? -
Wow, that's very unfortunate regarding the pixels. But I'm glad to hear wapochief thought the screen was good, I feel like I'm going to also feel similarly about the laptop. Anyone have a link to that screen profile download, I forgot what page it was on.
-
I was soo excited to buy one of these! Multiple people who received their units today have dead pixels on the screen! Razer. Major turnoff. Is anyone else canceling their orders after hearing of these issues?
-
So the good news keeps coming... Last night I was emailing the RMA department about the stuck pixel and then the keyboard backlight went out. I know it's a software issue, but I can't seem to fix it. I followed the directions in the FAQ section of the website and still haven't been able to get the backlight to turn back on. Talk about annoying. The RMA department is closed over the weekend, so I'll have to wait until Monday to talk to someone about this issue.
The stuck pixel on this unit isn't really noticeable so I'm probably just live with it. But between these problems, and the first units 5 dead pixels, I haven't really been too impressed. For a machine that feels really well designed and well put together, these problems really stick out. -
Where is the QA? Can they not see these dead pixels upon inspection before it heads out? Are they sending it anyway to see if it doesn't get returned? Odd...
-
Edit: can't find the post from the person looking for it, but here it is for anyone else looking for it =] -
Keep in mind this is for the razor LCD only. Add a second screen using the razor profile will make it look like $hit
For detailed information this thread looks informative.. I haven't read through it all yet.

I stopped talking about the screen quality (cause folks took offensive to it) and have settled keeping this laptop because it does everything else well. Anandtech said it the best "no correct viewing angle". There is no sweet spot. I have yet found a spot where either the top or bottom of the screen gets washed out. Also the color gamut is really bad. My 5 year old monitor covered 90ish percent while the razer was at 50ish percent.
Sorry to hear about the dead or stuck pixels. For those with stuck pixels maybe you can poke it with a pen with its cap on. That actually worked for me on my old laptop. -
Mine are not actually stuck, just dark. Until you move off to the side and then they are bright. Also, does anyone else hear a "ticking" when the fan speeds get higher? Its not loud, and I have to put my ear next to the fan to hear it, but it is worrying. Is this the normal sound the fans should make? My track-pad buttons are pretty solid. The right has more "click" to it, but it's good anyways.
If the screen had been perfect (no darker pixels), and if the "ticking" noise was not present, I would have been seriously impressed with the machine. About 30 min after it's put on powersave, the overall temps of the notebook do decrease to "warm". Even those near the screen. Just wish it was like that when not running games at balanced power mode. -
Got mine (128). No dead pixels. but a burnt out F5 key
-
Been testing it for a while and you know what?
I really refuse to pay this amount of money for a machine with so many downsides. Truth be told, whoever is keeping the machine is turning a blind eye to at least one major flaw.
The hot temps it can reach, what will happen in 12 months time with the innards?
The screen for me is just s.... It can't match an old hotel lobby pc screen ffs.
No qa? Why so many issues with shipped units?
I can make this list long but I don't want to get ppl as frustrated as I am.
This machine could be perfect, or almost if only they could have wanted to get it right the first time.
These flaws are so on your face that... Really makes me think that were on purpose.
As you can see, the frustration level is high, at least for me...
Really Razer?
2 cents given. -
A bit disappointed that all these defective units made it past Razer's QA as well.
You can probably count the number of people who've had perfect units delivered while the rest have something wrong with it.
Definitely worth it to have it replaced, regardless of how small the problem, imo.
Still waiting for my Pro to arrive Razer for my RMA. If it comes back with another defect or issue after spending for international shipping both ways, I don't know.... -
Pretty disappointed.
When the reviews said the viewing angle was pretty bad, i didnt think it was THIS bad.
i literally have to move my screen whenever i move my head...
So on scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst, id say 7
