Current ones on my Switchblade program that I use to launch my games are, World of Warcrart, which I am not playing really at all right now, Starcraft 2, Firefall, Diablo 3, Black Ops 2, and Heroes of Newerth, but that's in the same boat as WoW atm.

It's kind of frustrating too because I play games to be competitive and win, and I'm more of a jack of all trades master of none atm except for WoW I s'pose, and it's just maddening!

    Should have taken johns! ;)

Ah okay I play 2/6 of those. Starcraft 2 and Firefall. I actually just did a few ranked 2v2 with a friend, so fun.

I am pretty much the same, love to win and am pretty decent but just not top tier. Well I am pretty good at FPS games oh and league of legends too.

Yup I should have got johns, but its cool because now we both will have one and he can give me guidance and teach me the ways of the blade. :)

I played 2v2 ranked with my friend and stopped when we got top 5 diamond, trying to get back into now so we can branch into masters, he's definitely good enough, I'm not because I don't put enough time into it that I'd like to and onceI reached tier 2 suit in firefall I just got bored with it lol haven't logged into that in awhile either now that I actually think about it. SC2 is awesome though. Loved HotS campaign. Definitely like the screenshot tool we have so I can get take screenies of the cut scenes and use them as wallpapers for my switchblade! :)

I'm pretty good at FPS games too! Do you play Black Ops 2? We could dine on some kids in that game! :D

    Indeed. Master Blade Jedi John.

Anyone getting a FPS.dll error? A lot of my games crash when starting up and they all say its from an FPS.dll file and the only FPS.dll file I can find on my windows 8 running Razer Blade is from one of the Razer Apps!

Never had that problem before -- first suggestion would be to delete synapse and reinstall since it's something to do with Razer Apps :D

No I only played Black Ops 2 during the free steam weekend. I use to go hard on call of duty but just recently stopped, idk why. I would purchase multiple copies of call of duty and multiple xbox's and have cod parties lol. I play more Battlefield and Arma and stuff.

Did any of you purchase anything when razer had everything 50% off in the store?

I got the razer speakers, and the razer blackwidow tournament edition for when I am home for somewhat of a blade battlestation.

I have fragged since the early days of TF on quake with a 28k modem. For me TFC was the best period the amount of player input and player ingenuity was phenomenal back then which carried into the ealy beta,s of C/S. These days i have a bit of battlefield 3 but my fav over the past year or so has been L4D2 which is a great team game...

Ah okay. I tried battlefield a few times with a friend. I don't like the bigger maps though and more realistic with bullet gravity and what not lol. Too much for me to intake when I wasn't really itching to get into from the get go. Also don't like their being vehicles -- I prefer games where I can be a one man army like Counter Strike, Modern Warfare, Black Ops, etc :p -- Maybe if I had more friends that played BF I'd get into it, but it was just the one guy and he hardly played it because of school.

Arma I only have so I could play Day Z lol

I d it up during the 50% off in the store. Got the Ferox Speakers for the misses, some screen protectors, and the stealth messenger bag :) I wish I had bought the DeathStalker back then so I'd have a keyboard with the swtichblade on it for when I'm at home. I tried using my Razer last weekend like I did with my old g73 and it just didn't work. Wanted to try out making a blade battlestation as well :)

My setup was having my 21" monitor on the desk, Razer Maurader keyboard, and the Blade sat raised up a bit on a shelf type thing that's attached to the side of my desk, so I have 2 screens technically, but I don't use desktop icons, or have anything pinned, I use the switchblade to launch everything so it didn't make sense to keep it that way. If I had a keyboard WITH switchbalde though...problem solved! Just didn't think about it when they had their sale going...I'd love to have that setup so I can keep my Blade cleaner after gamign sessions (all the finger oil etc etc).

Those Ferox speakers are pretty nifty. Nice and loud, only problem we've had with them so far is that they make a really nasty high pitched noise when they're being used & charging at the same time. Had a similar issue using mobile speakers on my phone but it was only once it reached 90% and above that the noise kicked in, these things do it all the way from 0 to 100 :( Wife was bummed at first but it's NBD, the new setup I got her from the money I made off my G73 keeps power running to USB while turned off so it charges over night while they're turned off!

I,m still mulling whether to import a blade for about £2100 knowing that if i need to RMA it will cost me £300 or pay £2400 and only have to send it one-way in the UK...

Yeah I remember playing one of them back in the day at a Lan Center we use to have, a huge 15v15 Lan game, THAT was fun.

I'd just import it. You save money and if not you break even. Just make sure your buddy in the states packs it with TLC

Well, I'm by no means an audiophile, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I like them a lot. they're a decnet amount bigger than the ihome speakers but still very portable, and you push the speaker down into itself to turn it off, and push it again and it pops out and turns on, a thin strip of blue lighting around the base, and the battery lasts a good amount. Came with a nice carrying case to boot. They sound fine to me, but I also think the Blade's speakers sound great (and a lot of the reviews say they're mediocre) so that's what I mean by I'm not an audiophile. As long as I can hear things, and it's not Mono sound, I'm happy. I don't need super bassy stuff, or "amazing" quality...So they're A-OKay in my book as far as speakers go. If they came in green I'd probably buy them just to have a nice matching setup at my desk with my Blade.

Ah yeah, I keep forgetting about XoticPC. Great reseller. Got my G73 with them, you will be happy if you go that route. They're really good at RMA'ing things too and keeping on the company to get it fixed. But, it's Razer you'd be dealing with so it's really uncalled for since they're an amazing company to do business with and provide excellent support. Good luck either way -- won't be disappointed with the Blade!

Well with dj software i dont think i can configure it to use the blades speakers i need external so these look good now you said that the speaker pops down i,m in love with them the frequency range could be better on the low end but portability is key. Unfortunately i will have to buy from razer direct so i,m thinking also getting the orcochi mouse the laptop sleeve and now the speakers. Have you tried the mouse or the laptop sleeve?
jus noticed that you said the speakers are not green light , thats a bummer i want the whole matching kit...

I have spent years coating my Mac mates off but this laptop has got me, the money does not come into it :) it fufills all my wishes
    1) fairly portable
    2) handles games well
    3) Isnt a Brick
    4) doesn't look like the front end of a star wars craft
    5)Looks classy
Deal breaker was defo the switchblade ui being able to like have sky go(mobile satellite tv) facebook running and be in game is worth all the extra cash... i,m back begining of next month it will be waiting for me... :D

What for? OCZ Vector's the fastest SSD money can buy. The msata's fast enough, there's no bios switches I can play around with to affect the read/write speed short of tweaking Windows 7.

WARNING: I put a sort of review up over the Orochi mouse, and I'm long winded so this will be a long post :D

Yeah I'm almost ashamed to admit how much money I've spent on Razer products in the short amount of time since I've gotten the blade but yes I have the Orochi mouse as well. I don't have the sleeve, the pics it has didn't depict it having a handle, if it did I might have gotten it over my bag.

Orochi mouse for me, looked good on paper, not so much in practice. The software for it isn't coded into Synapse, it's got its own secondary one it uses, that was a bummer. It says that it's a wireless portable mouse with a lot of settings you can adjust - and you can. Only in wired mode though. It comes with a short (compared to the cable length of the wired Razer mice, its short) cable that plugs into it, and then you plug it into a USB of course. Which is nice if your battery dies (I don't have the 2013 model with the improved battery life, and they last a long time for me, just have to by high-end batteries, not cheapo crap ones!) and there aren't any in reach, but sucks if you want to adjust things without having to always keep up with the cable. Also the software seems to still be in its genesis since it's not as refined as Synapse is, it's slow to make changes, and sometimes they don't take until you apply it 2-3 times which was rather annoying. It's a smaller mouse too, which I typically like but the side buttons are almost recessed and flush with the mouse. Great for styling, terrible for using. I've actually completely stopped using my side buttons for things because it's not really hard to push them, it's just annoying to because they're small, hard to find at first, and sometimes I found myself hitting the wrong one because there isn't a clear feelable distinction when you run your finger over them as to which one you're hitting. It can go up to 4000 DPI, but that's only in wired mode. Wireless caps you out at 2000. And it's through bluetooth, which I thought I would love but I really dislike it now. It takes longer for the inital connection once the computer is booted up, and sometimes it's almost as if its a half-assed connection because the mouse will be very laggy and sluggish movement, turn it off, turn it on, wait for it to connect and it's perfect again. Now that doesn't happen everytime, but it's often enough that it spurred me to buy the Death Adder 2013 edition mouse two weeks ago (BOO BACKORDER BOOOOO!). Especially since they're giving out free mouse carrying cases atm with the purchase of a mouse :) I went that direciton because the Orochi wired was easy to use, and I didn't mind it. But if I'm going to be using a mouse in wired mode all the time, I want something bigger and better ;)

Also, it sort of pissed me off because I bought a Goliathus mat control edition, thick weave cloth or w/e. And the mouse feet on the Orochi kept catching the fabric and tearing it up. Then it would catch those, tear them more, and seriously frayed an area of the mouse pad so now me and the wife use that more as a decorative piece in our study since it's unusable now. Got the speed eidition Goliathus now and I don't THINK the Orochi feet would eat this one up since it's weaved a lot tighter and smaller, but I'll never know but I removed the feet off of it one night to help prevent it from tearing up my pad further, was too little too late though, anytime the laser ran over those parts it screwed up, and when you rolled over it, it was bumpy and not a consistantly smooth surface :(

I'd offer you mine, but my dog struck again a couple of nights ago and chewed up the cord for it, so now there's NO way to make changes to the mouses settings or ever use wired mode.

It came with a carrying case with a divider in it, one side for the mouse, the other for the cable, and I misplaced it somewhere in our game room and I'm guessing a cat found it, knocked it onto the floor, the dog found it, claimed it as his, and chewing ensued. :p

Not being green lit is a bummer - really wish Razer would offer all products in either Razer green or Razer blue :(

Blade definitely fits that profile, I disagree with fairly portable, it's more portable than that :p A G75 or a M17x is fairly portable. A Blade is VERY portable ;)

Yeah using switchblade to check facebook is fun when you have programs you're using that you can't or don't want to alt tab out of do stuff. I'll probably never use it to browse, because it uses mobile IE. The Facebook App also uses IE to work, which is a bummer, use a mobile app for it vs just running it through a mobile browser would have been a lot better end user experience, but it still works and I still use it, so w/e!

The best thing now is the media player, being able to play all your videos through switchblade, and skip tracks on your music using it too is great. Only negative thing about it is having to have it recompile your media library everytime you restart the App - with all my videos and music it takes it a good minute to do, so you can't really flip between it and facebook :( - I probably wouldn't care if it took that long everytime IF it didn't also stop playing your music or video and making you start from scratch again. It's definitely a step in the right direction, but it still needs to be polished, which is what I've found switchblade as a whole to be. As in, it's still really cool, but not as awesome as it could be if they invested a lot of development time into it ;) - For what you'll be using it for though, I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot!

    Hemotherapy,
I just had a look at the Orochi 2013 and they seemed to have ironed out all your gripes it is synapse 2.0 also works on bluetooth 3.0 so no drop from the new 6400dpi when in wireless mode also the batteries last 2x longer... choices choices

I hope it doesn't come to that either! Best "blade" video is the keynote ming did of it when they were doing their first press release about it. 46 minutes long though lol - worth the watch though will make you proud to be a blade owner!

Well well! Looks like they did! I knew about the better battery but I didn't know about the synapse 2.0. Hopefully it still wont require wired mode to make changes to it.

New razer blade owner here and I'm having a little problem it seem my life touch pad button is loose kind of has a wiggle to it, works fine and I really don't use it much when playing games. This is my second blade as I already got it replace once and rather not have to do it a second time is there any quick fix for this.

My Blade R2's left touchpad button has always been looser than the right, especially compared to my old Blade R1. It functions perfectly though and has never shown signs of getting any looser. If you feel anxious about it, may want to let the Razer folks know about your concern and give them a heads up if it continues to loosen or stop functioning may need to swap out your blade while still under warranty.

I don't think they can since the new tech isn't out yet so they haven't had time to fashion it into an R3. If they do it'll probably just be what to expect and give a release date of late Q4 2013 or Q1 2014.

My left pad is loose too. Welcome to the Blade :)

Well Guys I fronted Overclockers in the UK to see if they would come down from the extortionate price of $3600 but unfortunately even being one of their original customers(when they were a one man band) they have out grown the personal customer service they were once renowned for and just point blank refused to budge on their price. So Xoticpc it is then, they have instantly made a good impression on myself with it being $500 cheaper shipped and they gonna throw in a mouse :) ...

Is there anyway to use the HDMI as an HDMI in to run anything from a Blu-ray player to an XBOX on the screen? If not, I would love for them to add this in the next gen update.

Can someone send me a link to a good mini t6? I want to replace my hdd with a ssd (improved battery and whatnot), but don't want to accidentally strip those screws.

    Thanks in advance

ditto, what would you like to know about it?

Well, is it any good? It's very expensive for a mouse.. How's build quality and actual ease of use? The 12 extra buttons are very very appealing.

The quality is incredible, I purchased it for 50% off but even if I paid full price for it I would still be more than satisfied. I forget what game I was playing that made me want all those buttons. Oh never mind it was guild wars 2. I love that I can use it on my desktop and then plug it into my blade and still have the same presets because of the Synapse cloud. I need another mouse so I can leave my desktop naga plugged in and I am probably going to get another naga.

I bought it at ra pe price at Best Buy -- didn't want to wait for shipping from Razer. Anyway, mouse if cool. It's not my cup of tea, it's cool that you can swap out the right hand side pieces of it to adjust it to your liking, but I didn't like any of them...Having all those buttons is great, definitely a cool thing to have but I didn't use them enough to make the mouse worthwhile for me. Only used 3-4 of them. Plus this was during my "I want a good wireless mouse phase" so I hated having a corded mouse. It's a fantastic mouse IF you use the additional buttons, you have to train yourself to do it kind of. Otherwise there's really no point in just getting a deathadder or something. It's definitely built to last, everything worked great, looks nice. The only game I played where I could really use it though was WoW, because there are just so many damned abilities, but every other game I play there's no need for all those buttons. Since I started to phase out of WoW, and even when I did play I didn't use them all that much, and that I didn't like the way I had to hold it, I just felt like it wasn't for me so I gave to my wifes brother as a christmas present while he was visitng.

got a razer onza controller from woot.com for $25 and love it with my Blade. just wish Razer would make wireless bluetooth gamepads like they do with the orochi mouse. counting down the days for my razer edge. guess tomb raider, crysis 3, simcity, and next week bioshock infinite will have to tide me over on my blade.

Yeah takes 3-4 days for wire transfer then 5-6 days for postage could get held up at customs so worst case scenario two weeks..
