I tried to install my 950 pro nmve drives 512 x2 however when I went to install windows after installing them windows set up couldn't find the drives.
I had them set up as raid 0
I couldn't find drivers to load into windows setup.
    Any suggestions?

You might still need to install the raid drivers on your Windows install. That's how it was with windows 8. I used to have to put the raid drivers on a USB drive and load them during the Windows install. I have no idea if that's still the case with win 10.

Are we talking the intel raid drivers or the Samsung nmve ones?
If it's the Samsung ones I can't find them, I had the same problem with my Alienware with these drives

Hey guys I read all 56 pages of this thread last night and this morning. Wow that's a lot! I recently placed an order for the 512Gb RBP. I live in Okinawa Japan so I unfortunately have to mail it to my dad and have him send it to me so I've got a few miserable weeks ahead of me.

I went with this laptop after watching pretty much every review video you've all posted on this thread. I originally ordered an Aorus X5 V6 with the 1080p 120hz screen. It was much cheaper (2299.00) and I figured the GTX 1070 would pair with that resolution well. The damn thing never showed up, USPS says it's been in Chicago for over a month! When that delay happened I started looking again at what to get and came across the RBP. The price scared me at first but the more I thought about it the more I wanted it and took the plunge.

I used to be big into gaming in my late teens/early 20s but then met my wife and fell of a bit. Started playing consoles a bit but always preferred keyboard and mouse. I had a clevo laptop a while back and that thing was huge and loud and hot and terrible performance compared to a desktop. This was in 2008, can't remember which model. I switched to the MacBook Pro back in 2009 and have owned 3 15 inch models since. I didn't game as much and the MBP did everything just fine, movies, internet and very very light gaming. I got the Division about a month ago and love it. I've been playing it on my desktop but this forces me to be upstairs in a different room from my wife and child so I started looking into laptops again. I was perfectly fine with what I thought the Aorus would offer performance wise, but I was nervous of the build quality and screen quality. What I like about the RBP, without having it in person yet, is the build quality, that is a HUGE factor for me. Maybe I'm weird but I loved the quality of the MBP but always hated the lacking GPU performance. I was going to get the 14 RB but I wanted the bigger screen and extra performance to drive it.

I read this thread after I already purchased the laptop and honestly was a little nervous with all the negative comments on here. I do appreciate the feedback from the actual owners like johnnobts and Gaming Techie. For me, I've already been spending too much money on laptops for quite some time now, the MBP are way over priced for the actual hardware, but I did this knowingly for the build quality. I feel like I will achieve the same with the RBP. It's fun to run the synthetic benchmarks, I used to do it all the time with my desktop, but all I really care about is real world gaming performance. So if the RBP doesn't give me a fire strike score that's comparable to a desktop 1080, it doesn't really bother me.

One question I do have (preferably johnnobts or gaming techie or someone who owns the RBP), I saw a small portion of this thread cover it but not in much detail, but how is gaming on the RBP at lower resolutions? I enjoy getting 60fps for a smooth gaming experience and am definitely willing to lower some settings or resolution to achieve this. There is ALOT of info about this topic, some people saying 4K is 4 to 1 pixels, others saying it doesn't work that way. I would like to know if any of you have tried some games at 1080p or 1440p and how it looks in game? Thanks ahead of time for any info. I already purchased the laptop, and unless it comes broken or defective, I feel like I'm going to love it. Thanks guys!

I've tried 1080P in many games and it looks real good! I'm waiting on my third replacement; each one so far has had yellow tint on the left or right side of the screen.

HaloGod2012, oh man I'm sorry you've had issues with the screen! I know how much it can suck to spend a lot of money on a product only to have an issue. I hope mine is ok when it arrives bc it will take a month minimum to send it front Japan and receive a replacement. Thank you for the info though, I'm glad games look good at 1080p. I may run Division at 1080p max settings since the RBP can't push 60 fps at 4K. Maybe if I lower the settings to high or even medium it can handle 4K but no one benchmarks it lower than ultra.

Sometimes if you do a color cycle for a about 15-20 mins, it gets rid of the tints.
Using something like this : http://udpix.free.fr/

There are web pages out there , that do the same thing, but i cant seem to find the one that i have used before.

Knowing Razer support, a month is extremely optimistic. In your case, I'd expect 2-4 months for an RMA to go through.

My replacement from Amazon comes tomorrow morning. I'm hoping for a good one. I'm getting so sick and tired of waiting; the holiday hours didn't help either. Amazon 2 day shipping has been more like 7 day. Besides the yellow tint, the laptop is hands down the best I've tried. This is coming from a guy who has played with many 4000+ dollar laptops :) I have two friends that have the 2016 RBP and all have bright white flawless screens so I'm sure it's bad luck on my part

I'm honestly not sure if it's just bad luck - over the course of the last year, I've read thousands of complaints of poor QA and QC on Razer laptops. It's definitely more than any other machine that I have encountered in the past.

Can any of you Razer Blade owners run Cinebench R15 and log - post the score, max temp and max cpu package power with Hwinfo64, HWMonitor or another preferred monitor software? CINEBENCH_R15.03

Do the same with wPRIME v1.5 if you have time. Run as adm and select 8 threads, Thanks.

Well I am back, and I'm in total shock. The fans on the unit are defective and can't spin. They make a grind noise when I power on and won't move ! I noticed when I was sitting idle on the desktop and the GPU hit 90C doing nothing. The laptop could almost cook and egg; the aluminum was extremely hot. I tried rebooting and blowing in the fan vents, nothing. Another amazon replacement is on the way. This will be my fourth razer blade pro in 2 weeks........

I've said it before and I'll say it again - At this point, Razer QA/QC department is the industry version of 1st grader in school you think it's doing its job but in reality, it's picking its nose doing nothing.

So will the razer blade pro be refreshed with kaby lake processors soon or do they only refresh these systems once a year ?

Don't think so. They might refresh the other Blades though. I might be totally wrong here, just basing it off of the previous RBP release.

If it was a year ago, I would have agreed with you. But given Razer's behavior last year, I think it's quite the opposite now. They released two versions of the blade 14 and blade stealth, only months apart, breaking their previous annual cycle habits. I would hope they continue to compete by keeping up with the latest gen of tech available.

On top of that, let's get past the i7-6700hq already. I'm so tired of seeing that CPU in laptops!

From what I have seen, kaby lake performs even worse in gaming; most of the time it's equal. (7700 vs 6700). So I don't see the need.

If we compare the Desktop processors yes. But it will be a pretty decent gain for the BGA counterparts. Specially if it can do higher clocks at the same TDP.

Doubt it, it also runs much hotter. Given the current skylakes can barely run at max without throttling I don't see this being good

Well considering that, the desktop Skylakes run way cooler. For example in my P870DM, @ 4.5Ghz the max temps do not cross 75C. But that is a totally different discussion .

Main problem is, if the RBP's cooling system will be able to keep up. Im sure they limited the laptop to a 6700hq for a reason.

Some OEM's design and use undersized cooling in their laptops. This is the main problem :) Skylake isn't the problem.

its playable, but looks kinda crappy ffrom the game i played. but then again i mightve had AA off. you can def run it at medium - high settings and achieve 4k 60fps constant if you paly around with the settings. at 4k everything looks so good you probably wouldnt notice a difference compared to 1080p ultra

765M in the 2013 Blade 14 is akin to the GPU we know as a 750 (non-Ti) or a 650 Ti Boost.

So Razer basically boosted and tweaked it to make it more powerful?

Yesterday mine RBP 1tb has arriven and there is fun begin. :D Nvidia Driver 376.2 (about driver update for GPU I just dont want to say :DDDD)

I sart test it at night and it throttling all time then tottaly switch off in WoW after 4 min of game. And I go sleep.

Today I continue test my RBP some more and what I find, If I do very hard load like 2 browsers with ~ 50 tabs each and HotS it shut down, I try 2 times and 2 times it switch off. No matter with G sync or without.

But then I find that Throttlestop v. 8.30 with deactivated BD PROCHOT completely solve the problem, BUT it must RUN / Open all time. So then I try to:
2 browsers, Dota 2 + WoT + WoW / HotS and + AIDA 64 stress test and all this SAME time :mad_: Temps: Gpu 80 Cpu max core 94
And no throttling and switch off at all! NOW I AM HAPPY by this maschine, but need some more time to test it.

So if any one have problems with with throttling or switch off just use Throttlestop, now I wait for Razer to do patch like for Blade, I dont want to start Throttlestop all time just because Razer dont check such a thing on pc worth off $ 4000

    update 1
After 10-15 min in stanby this magic machine just freeze. No response at all. When I press ALT+CTR+DEL many times its restart and show me BIOS :DDDD just need one more restart to see Windows :D :DD
    Funny thing :D

Those temps are rather high for the CPU.

Could you test CINEBENCH_R15 + wPRIME v1.5 and monitor the max CPU package power (Use HWiNFO64 or similar). Run both benchmarks and next test one at a time. Then post the whole results. Thanks.

Replacement blade pro arrived this morning . I did the usual tests on it and I got a perfect unit. Perfect screen, performance, everything ! Now I can enjoy this awesome machine. Max GPU temps during benching was 71C, max cpu during stress benching was 85C. All checks in perfectly.
