Isn't the logo just a couple of LEDs. I don't think the battery draw is even partially noticeable .

So there is nothing specifically designed for the Razer and it's accessories. However I use this Solo Urban 17.3" Backpack - Solo . I took the plastic insert for the gamepad that came in the box and put it into the center padded laptop storage compartment. It is well protected and the sticks are not getting damaged. It also has room for the edge itself, the keyboard dock, Razer Naga mouse, power cord, Nintendo 3DS, Nvidia shield, and lots of other junk needed for daily travel to work (or as I call it secret game time). Been using it like this for 6 months without issue.

hey guys can someone please help me do a restore to my edge i have the usb recovery from razer but i dont know how to boot from the usb or boot the bios please help thanks in advance

 

AFAIR there is a post you can search on that tells you how to change the primary boot source to USB.

 

i have been searching i check all 151 pages here maybe i missed that but if someone knows how to boot from usb to do a recovery please let me know thanks

Hi all. This thread seems not so active anyway... I noticed there is a 40pin to HDMI adapter for DELL. Does anyone know if it works on the Razer Edge Pro?

 

if "Dell Cable - 40-Pin HDMI USB Power Dongle" works with Razer Edge it will be a good solution to be connect with HDTV.

 

Looks like that adapter goes to an XPS 10. It may work if it fits but it's hard to tell since the picture is small.

 

Does any one have a clue whether razer is gonna release an update of razer edge pro. It is sad that current Edge does not have on-board HDMI or any video-out socket...

I just got myself a Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 wireless card to upgrade the wireless card in my Razer Edge Pro. I'd like to know what steps I should do before and after installing my new wireless card. Should I uninstall the drivers of the old wireless card before putting the new one? Thanks for the help !

I found that I had issues with already paired Bluetooth devices. I'd remove those first, before changing out the card.

 

So do I so i did not bid on it. I would buy it from you for a more reasonable price.

 

I will just put this out there, I am looking for the dock station in general and will pay more then retail. I have lookd every where. Razer needs to get off their @$$ and release another batch of accessories. The Edge is barely a year old and finding the accessories for retail prices are impossible. I wonder if they enjoy seeing people on eBay pay $500 for docks and $600 for keyboards. It's really a shame.

While that does suck, I can't help but laugh a little at their answer. I'm guessing razer stopped all production, so what is made is made and trying to be sold. Accessories were likely made in lower quantities than the devices so there will always be a shortage.

I woud like to buy an extra battery. Is it difficult to replace internal battery?

I've been living in the uk since the edge was released and holded off buying until it was available here. it was about 6 months after release before i decided to import an edge pro and now i cant get the peripherals unless i pay mega premium from u.s. ebay sellers. get your asses in gear razer. i've been a razer man for over 10 years now and i'm starting to loose faith in the edge.

 

The accessories weren't really that widely available to begin with. I was tempted to spend $400 on a Gamepad and I almost did before I found a cheaper one. It also took me a lot of time to find the extended battery and the dock for MSRP. This was back in April-May when the Edge first came out.

 

Given that the 256gb model is available on amazon for a similar value ..it might be hard to sell for 900 but then again the lack of accessories ..might help you get that premium you are asking for.

 

I feel ya. If someone wants it, make an offer. Want to try to sell the dock with it, unless someone really wants the dock.

Anyone have an issue with steam not starting a game on the edge? I ahve the Edge Pro 128,I download aSplinter Cell from my steam library but when I click play,it acts like its going to start but stops and goes back to the same screen. Any ideas?

can you please help me with razer edge pro media recovery key? My new edge stop working after 10 days of use (it is new). I've purchased a new msata, but I cannot restore windows 8 without the usb recovery media drive. I've contacted razer, and they can sent the drive to me, but I've to wait several weeks to recive it. I've sent a friend request over the forum.

Update: I think this issue is becouse my win ID was never verified from the first time I went through the setup process. I will try and take a look tonigt after work. I am still looking for a dock so anyone was is willing to sell there I am open to pay. thanks.

 

Alright so I have called over 7 online stores, talked to customoer care at Razer in which they were no help at all. I have called the VP of sales at Razer and got nothing,I have sent a e-mail to the support team and got nothing. So I am more than likley going to sell my Razer Edge Pro and controler,if I can not find two docking stations. I have never had this issue with any product I have bought. It's simply insane. What gets to me is more the fact the company is not willing to give info or help in any way even though I spent over a grand with them. I will never buy a razer product again if this does not get taken care. Frustration has kicked in over drive.

 

You'll probably have to eBay it.

While it would be nice of them, it doesn't make it a smart business decision to satisfy a very small percentage of their customer base and may not be worth it for them to continue the support. They have no obligation to make a certain amount of accessories for a product if they don't have reason(s) to that they deem necessary, especially for a very small population (let's be real, there are probably less than 1000 people in the world that care about this, and in comparison there are hundreds of thousands of people buying iPads and/or accessories on a daily basis, and probably 10 times that much of Razer's other products). If I was Razer and sold 100,000 Edge's for a small profit margin, while iPad's sold that in an hour, I'd stop making accessories for my own tablet and make iPad accessories (even if they don't, I think we can all admit it would be more profitable for them than the Edge accessories).

Those 100 people that contact them and push them to get an accessory out that you can get if you really want it bad enough, is not enough for them to care. As much as I wish it was, because I bought a bunch of accessories (including the pathetic excuse for a keyboard dock and wish they'd have gone back to the drawing board) and love what the Edge can do, we're just a very small market that isn't significant currently. And we all know business is all about the $$$.

Anyway you don't need an usb recovery media.

Just use an OEM iso of Windows 8.1, disable safe boot from bios, and boot from external USB DVD or make a bootable USB out of your Windows 8.1 DVD.

The product key is on the back of the Razer Edge Pro.

Well guys I sent a letter to custmer service staff,found the VP of sales number on the net called and left him a message,freinded(facebook) the founder and told him the issues,then last night around 7pm Eastern time I got a call from James in customoer service. I now have an extended battery and docking station on the way with 20% off. So they made good on my front and I now have more respect for the company. So that being said I will be keeping the razer for now, as i have been using it alot. Only accessorey I dont have is the keybpard dock. So the pushing did help,so I am happy right now. Thank you Razer for coming through,you have restored my faith in your company.

**Also Razer edge has been taking off the razerzone.com site,so I am not sure what that means. I went ahead and got an extra power unit,ethernet/usb and usb extender fromt he site,just in case.

 

It's a shame the accessories are so hard to come by (well, other than the keyboard dock. That's crap). Hopefully they are readying a gen 2 product. Not sure who would buy the existing stock of tablets without a dock of some sort. Civ V die-hards, maybe?
