I'm looking for Broken Razer Edge tablets and dead batteries to rebuild. Are you selling the tablet unit too?

I also have a spare Logitech K810 keyboard that has barely been used for sale or trade too.

PMed you back. Definitely interested in an internal battery. Let me know how much you're looking for, where you live (approximately) and how much you need for shipping. Thanks!

IMO what has now made this device more valuable is the fact that you can now use nvidia gamestream and the moonlight app to stream your games from your home gaming pc anywhere in the world to the razer via the internet.

the fact this device has a dedicated nvidia card and a controller means that it will handle the streaming of games for a good few years to come very easily. i have streamed the 2016 Tomb Raider to it and it works like a dream over wifi at 60fps. it wont play it locally unless you turn the specs way down. i use it to play old games locally (you know, the ones that were only 4gb at most - Dirt rally, fifa 14, etc)...all the new ones need to be streamed from your host pc....which i am sure most owners of the Edge Pro have - a gaming pc.

the problem Razer had with these tablets is that the hardware becomes out of date quite quickly in the gaming world - in particular the GPU. And as this is embedded in the mobo your device becomes obsolete for local gaming.

Nvidia Gamestream in conjunction with Moonlight ( http://moonlight-stream.com/) has revitalised my edge pro and i will use it for years now both as a pc and gaming device.

I've been doing this with Steam for the better part of a year. Games like Fallout 4, Payday 2, GTA V steam with only a very tiny delay over 2 stream AC Wifi on my Edge. nVidias gamestream is a little smoother, but either is a viable option, especially a low resolution like the Edge's 1366x768.

You likely have an issue with the SSD itself. Try to get into the bios or boot menu and see if it appears there.

I moved the original SSD from my tablet into a desktop PC and it developed the 5000 hour bug common with Crucial M4 SSDs. The Micron SSD in the Edge (at least mine) uses the same controller as the Crucial M4 series. Updating the firmware seemed to have fixed the problem. The

Try pulling your SSD and putting into an M.SATA to USB, or M.SATA to full SATA adapter. I have one of each of these, plus an M.SATA to SATA tray in the shape of a 2.5" drive so it looks like a normal SSD. All of these adapters have been life savers. I've been able to clone the drive after doing an update to Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, then reload it all from another PC. It's also allowed me to troubleshoot problems with the SSD itself.

See here for information about the 5000 hour problem:
    http://forum.crucial.com/t5/Crucial...H-for-mSATA-and-070H-for-2-5-quot/td-p/123930

See here for the firmware update:
    http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/support-ssd?cm_re=us-support-_-main-_-firmware-update-link
Use the "Crucial m4 mSATA SSD" link. It found and updated the firmware on the Micron 256gb SSD that I pulled from my Edge Pro.

Of course it might not be the firmware, it might just be your SSD being dead completely. Buy one of the M.SATA to SATA adapters and see if you can get it to detect on another PC.

Good luck, report back with your results.

Thanks for the advice and suggestion, however, my razer edge could not get into bios or boot menu anymore, it's just stuck in the razer logo.
Tried booting without RAM or SSD, but still no bios or even beep/error code to inform me something's missing from the system, it's just stuck in the razer logo.

I've already asked razer, but they wanted me to send my unit to them, obviously handle the shipping and $100 for inspecting the unit. pffffff!
    Thanks again!

If there are anyone else that can help me....please...TIA!

The Edge being stuck on the bios screen is EXACTLY what happens when there's a problem with the SSD. I could never access the boot menu with a blank or bad SSD installed. I had to pull the SSD just to get into the boot menu or bios. Did you try booting with and without the SSD installed and with the recovery media plugged in?

If you pulled the RAM, you likely only pulled 1/2 of it. There's another DIMM on the back side of the board you would have to switch out too. It's not difficult to do, but unless you've had experience taking apart laptops you may not want to try that.

One thing you can ask Razer for is the USB restore drive, after you replace your SSD. That should help in getting it back up and running, and best of all it's free!

Yep, thanks for the info, I also tried that before, booting without the SSD. Still the same.
Also, I removed both the RAM, front and back, and still the same.

I've already received my USB restore drive, for the 2nd time, because the Razer person I talked to insists on sending me 1.

I'll still try and scourge the internet for more information and hopefully find someone who can fix it.

    THANKS YOU ALL!!

I'm thinking about selling my edge pro + dock + keyboard + extra battery. Is there still interest in these? (Upgraded to a 512gig SSD and upped the ram to 12 gigs)

My Razer edge is brick, freeze at Razer logo splash.
    Cannot access BIOS:
    - Try keyboard strokes: F1 / Del / F2 / F10 ....
    - Try hold Window button when turn on, then volume down / up.
    - Try plug usb recovery stick
    - Disconnect CMOS battery, hold power button 30second (no power connected, battery also) -> BIOS not reset

    Is there any solution ?

PS: Hardware is work normal. I mistake use Shift + 1 to disable bootmenu in BIOS -> no more bootmenu working so cannot access Window (the only way access bios is Advance Startup in window)

I doubt razer would make a new model as this one didnt't sell to well, most people are useing gaming laptops, it's more of a niche product.

If it can help you I made a custome one by myself with this 3 things:

    - A portfolio cover that fits the Razer Edge (mine is Weltampie porfolio, discontinued):

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IQN7D2Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    - A vangoddy Irista 10.1 inches Sleeve:
    https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Ha...id=1488894854&sr=8-2&keywords=vangoddy+irista

    - 3 money clip to clip the portfolio case with the Vangoddy irista sleeve:

    https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=money+clip

If you want a keyboard you will need a slim one like this one:

    https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Blu...&qid=1488895161&sr=1-1&keywords=Logitech+K810

You will just need to find a way to stick the keyboard inside the case.

After you get everything you can get the same thing as me.

My custome keyboard case is lighter, safer, more versatile, scratch proof/ shock proof, and keep cooler the tablet than the official one.

I hacked my wired travel keyboard, I have 4 usb3 port and the fifth one has sd card/ micro sd card reader plugged in.

Unfortunately the Vangoddy Irista sleeve in that size isn't available in my country anymore (I'm living in France).

The welltampie portfolio case isn't sell anywhere anymore so I don't know which portfolio case could fit the Razer Edge so well (but I'm sure some can fit it).

About the keyboard my father helped me, from the beginning I used a Perixx Periboard 510h (wired version), I can tell how to proceed but not make it by myself.

It's really easy to make my cases and it costs less than 100$, if someone is interesting I can explain how to proceed but not much unfortunately.

My email is [email protected], feel free to ask, on this topic or send to my email.

Small footage for the case a made for my Razer Edge, I'm still convinced it's better than the original one, mainly because that the original keyboard dock has only one stand position:

For me too, and even more with its downsides : 2 2.0 USB port, 1stand position, key seems really hard to press (some reviews talking about it), no touchpad, no backlight, bulky, even the stand part doesn't look so safe.

My custom case, you should have for less than 100$, and there is many advantages compared to the official one, you can even turn it 360°.
