It's best to zero it before changing the AC/DC Loadline to lower number.

Mine starts giving errors around -50mV and crashes around -80mV with AC/DC Loadline at 1, this is with the frequency at 3.9GHz.

But at 2.2GHz -100mV will work fine with AC/DC Loadline at 1.

What I'm saying is: RB17 Pros ship with a -100mv baked into the Synapse software perhaps? It doesn't show in the BIOS with those menus unlocked either, I have no idea how to get rid of it?

If that's software based then probably uninstalling would be one of the best way, you maybe boot fine with AC/DC Loadline set to 1, but once the Synapse is loaded your system may crash or freeze.

Do all your other software not doing this? I mean like XTU or ThrottleStop, even with the offset cleared, the undervolt of -100mV is still happening?

Can you guys share your UserBenchMarks?

I did everything as described and get for the CPU around 76% with my Razer Blade Stealth ...

Don’t believe user benchmarks, it’s messed up and often wrong not for laptop, use normal cpu benchmarks like cinebench, 3Dmark (physic score, on Firestrike and timespy are last scenes) and compare online.

CsEnabled has been removed from Windows 10 if you're running the latest 2004 update

hey man, wanted to ask. so after I add my second drive to RBP17 2019, my bios mods is gone.
by this word "go to the thread I linked to and make more advanced changes to the BIOS such that you bypass the second line of option hiding" can you tell me more about it, i've tried changing some of the menu as the tutorial from 0x0 to 0xF or 0x1 it still doesnt show up.
    Can you please explain more

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    Nevermind, already solving by myself

I asked this before in the thread but was never able to get a full answer:

Since the RB17 Pro models have the -100mv undervolt BAKED IN (aka, not possible to remove from the BIOS, when I unlock the menu it says 0 so I can only guess that this information is stored elsewhere, EC firmware or in Synapse somewhere?) is it possible to reduce the AC/DC loadline to 1 (as stated at the start of this thread) safely as this will take it below the -65mv "safe" undervolt region?

TL: DR - anybody done this mod on the RB17 Pro series or any other model with the undervolt baked in.

I'm using 2019 version which is RZ09-0314xx, i unlock the overclock performance menu and undervolt it to -130mV except SA +125mV. the undervolt they being applied after a shutdown (i check the HWinfo it's -0,130v) but if I restart it back to -0,110v (this is really strange, idk if it bugs or what)
I don't know if it already baked in, but my config quite stable

Just to confirm. All others values in the menu you leave at default? AC Loadline = 0 etc. Only changing the IMON slope?

I am with the RBS Late 2019 and also trying i think the same @Ben142 is trying to archive. Having always the full 25/35w available weather dGpu is enable or disabled.

Has anyone gotten this to work on the Razer Blade 15 Advanced (2020) 2070 Super Max-Q version yet? I followed the guide, but I got two errors. One in AMIBCP v5.02.0031 when saving the modified bios that says "Saving secure rom as unsigned" and the way I got past that was just using the save button on the toolbar and then the second one in AFUWINGUIx64 v5.12.03.2074 that says "secure flash verity failed" after beginning the flash and after it reads it. Am I using the wrong version of the tools or is the 2020 Razer Blade BIOS locked? TIY!

it can’t be done this way since the 2020 bios are locked. You will need the bios programmer. Thread is here.... http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...l-to-unlock-all-hidden-options.830993/page-26

I wouldn’t be too worry about it if you’re concern about affecting your warranty. In fact, the best time to do this is when you’re still within you warranty in case something happened. GeekSquad would have no clue what has happened if you need it covered under warranty.

I unlocked my Razer Blade Stealth Late 2019. In Benchmarks it was working just fine, but now I am trying to play Horizon zero Dawn and I am running into 100°C CPU temperature constantly, especially while the shaders are being optimized. Would a repaste with liquid metal help with that? It dropped temperatures by 20°C on my HP Omen, which had a very bad thermal paste job.

I noticed other RBS late 2019 users are getting around 2100-2200 scores on R20 while I'm only getting 1850 ish any ideas why?

    Edit: bad paste/uneven heatsink...Repasted got 2150...

I could not get this going or to show in Bios. I have Razer Blade 2019 base with 1660 ti, running bios v1.03. I have non stock nvme drive with clean install of windows 10 Ent. Even tried stranula post, but all i got was an additional "OverClocking Performance Menu" but inside it's blank. I even tried just turning on a bunch of options to users, but nothing is showing up. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Edit: It was the NVMe drive. Even though I use the NVMe drive as a secondary drive, the 2.5" ssd is my main os. Sorry i know i said nvme with win 10 install, mean to say os install on ssd drive. In any regards, apparently it blocked it from showing up in bios. I removed the nvme and settings showed up. The second i put nvme back it disappears. I am going to post on the stranula thread to get help getting it working with nvme in.

Interesting...this might be the reason why I couldn't get the option to show up as well no matter what I do also running BIOS 1.03. I even flashed a modded bios working from another member's laptop here and it still didn't work while his did. I'm going to mess with it and see what it does swapping out storage drives...Thanks.

The NVME bug is the only reason I haven't made the changes on my Razer. I added a second NVME and it had been mentioned many posts ago about the bug and Id much rather have the second drive than the small speed increase.

Friendly reminder that if you're using one of those black/gold hardware programmers they send out 5V (instead of 3.3V) on data lines which is way outside technical specs for the BIOS chip. People seem to be having no problems on Blades so far so that's good but if you want to make absolutely sure nothing will die in the process, there's a simple fix that requires some soldering: https://www.chucknemeth.com/usb-devices/ch341a/3v-ch341a-mod

Here’s my Cinebench R20 test on my RB15A Early2020 using this guide with the same IMON offsets etc. Should be able to dial it in more once I know how to calculate my IMON Slope and the like for the 10875.

Is there any way to have this PL limit removed while still reporting the correct wattages to programs like OCCT?

Not completely, but what you can do is - change the IMON slope to -50, but DON'T change the IMON offset. If you do that - it will report 1/2 the actual wattage. So it still removes the PL limit (technically it doubles the limit, but that should be plenty) and you can easily figure out actual wattage by just doubling what is reported.

    I believe it's current monitor.

So IMON slope -50 means multiply the reported current by 0.5 (i.e. cut it in half).
IMON offset is to add or subtract from what's reported.

How does this impact power limit? Power = voltage * current. If you cut the reported current in half, the reported power is therefore also cut in half. The laptop's built in power limits appear to use the power reported by the BIOS. So if the BIOS is reporting half the actual power (e.g. - when the chip is drawing 50W, the BIOS reports 25W), the built-in power limits become very generous.

I should probably also ask if the IMON setting only effects AC power or if it also works for battery power as well.

Sadly, the entire guide didnt work for me.
i could get as far as trying to flash the modified bios, only to be told, that it would fail.
tried it several times, no idea what im doing wrong. followed every step..
on another note, does anyone know how i can reduce the fan speed?
this thing is a real nice laptop but i cant take it to work when opening chrome results in the start of a jet.
id like to mention that i got the LM mod done, on benchmarks/gaming im never getting past 70°. sadly im still power throttleling heavy even with 130mv undervolt.
    i own a 2019 9750h blade 15. thanks for any help..
kinda wishing i didnt do the LM mod now, id return it in a second..

Hey no worries - which bios are you on and which specific model?
    - AFAIK you can flash all 2019. I am on 9750h w/ 2080 max q (100w vBios) - just hit 8400 timespy

Have you tried force reflashing that bios?

Navigating to program files (x86)/razer/Update tool/FlashAFUWin.bat?

If you can reflash that, it can be done.

i tried undervolting as far as i could. im at -310mv and im still not seing any bluescreens etc. prime stable for at least an hour, r20 cinebench delivering 2850 points..
didnt do anything apart from lowering vcore and vcache a bit. power throtteling became much less potent, in benchmarks i hover around 60w usage until about 30 sec in where it falls to 45..

Yeah so, I think there may be an issue with throttlestop and this motherboard. I only noticed change if I modify cache not core.

Check to see if your bios is available at razer support. Download and run it. If it's the correct one - it'll say you are up to date. That's going to create that bat file I mentioned in my last post that you can try.

If the bat file updates the bios - we are in the money. And you can send me a copy of the bios file the bat file calls
