I haven't heard a peep from Malibal yet, "phase 2", "in production" or otherwise. I just assume I'll get a tracking number and a "here you go!" type email in a few days (I hope) to a few weeks. I put mine in on 1/28, so who knows.

EDIT: they PM'ed me today and were concerned about this. I'm just going to leave this here for posterity more than anything now :D

Can we get some official PR from a reseller, concerning supply allotments and estimated ship dates?

That information is simply not available.

Sager will be building by order number on a first in, first out basis. That is the best information available.

Hi, we don't like giving out estimated shipping dates unless we have a good idea, and right now - the shipping dates are not very clear for all back orders, so we only contact the customers in which we know are scheduled to ship.

If we haven't already, we will certainly contact you as soon as we have a relatively certain date of when your order will ship.

Right now, we can only say to customers - in general - that orders will begin shipping today and all the back orders should be shipped within a couple weeks.

Also, please note - that if other companies move orders into a new phase that can last 6-12 days, then that is no more certain of a shipping schedule than we have.

I don't see why not. Cooling is pretty good, and components are quality. Nothing in the machine even resembles "cheap".

It goes by the factory order number that Sager gives to the Reseller. For example, we have had several NP8130, NP8150 and NP8170 orders shipped for customers that ordered theirs in March. This is a fact.. :)

Then how random is it? Is it determined by the length of each individual seller's queue? The configuration ordered?

I'd be seriously miffed, if I ordered in January and someone from March was getting a shipping confirmation.

I don't get it, is this because you pre-ordered those systems back in January or is it because you have priority at the Sager factory?

I do remember someone from XoticPC saying that Sager prioritizes their production and shipments by the Sager brand, that is they ship unbranded barebones after all the Sager branded orders.

No there is no priority on our part. I do not think that ANY Sager Authorized Reseller has anyone that ordered in January that does not now have it in hand. If it is not a Sager machine I do not know what the status is.

I just found out from LPC today that my build order is now on hold until April 4th because they ran out of 460M video cards.

    THis nightmare never ends.

They should be cutting deals on the 485 upgrades as a service for having their customers wait so long.

But then all the old orders are gonna be asking for $ back lol. I know I'd be mad if I got my order then a few days later they took $100 off the price lol

I know price drops are bound to happen, but when it's within a matter of days, it's kinda frustrating

This is not the thread for those questions, You have already posted in the NP7280 Owners Lounge, earlier today, so ask them there.

    Hey Kevin,

I dont mind keeping the posts on topic but in the name of diplomacy and friendship maybe we could find a way to articulate ourselves a little better?

Some people are new to forums so they may not get the forum-etiquette.

    Just a thought....

    Shane,

You shouldn't mind keeping posts on topic - that's what everyone here expects all posters to do as a matter of forum courtesy. Members and guests choose certain topics to read that have relevant information concerning their interest or situation. When someone makes a post that is NOT on topic, threads become convoluted and thus waste valuable time.

Even this post borders on possibly wasting time, but I felt it was necessary.

Further, diplomacy and friendship are certainly important points to make amongst a community of people trying to be helpful to one another; however, this was not one of those times. Kevin did nothing wrong or abusive with his request to straighten out this thread that he commenced. In fact, I think he was quite restrained considering how far off some posts have been.

Additionally, I don't think it's prudent to put forth behavioral-posting advice to someone on here that has over 6,000 posts as they are likely well-versed on the subject - not to mention well-respected by most other members.

People may be new to these forums, and that is always great to see, but that doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't be corrected when making a thread mistake or be able to read the forum rules before posting. Articulation is the simple matter of speaking the truth and nothing more - you need not mistake any potential corrective action as derogatory or negative.

Now, back to the topic at hand - RECALL NEWS and QUESTIONS!
