@Michael you should try some real headphones lol. However this forum isn't the place for that so I will digress from further commenting.
@Meaker nothing wrong w/ a headset if if feels/sounds good its best to keep it that way, as once you dip into the field of hearing the difference, it gets hard on your wallet :| I'm not knocking them either as I own a pair of turtle beach I use at work. -
I am content to be blissfully ignorant in that case
No seriously hardware addiction is taxing enough on my wallet already, god knows I don't need another addictionjaybee83 likes this. -
^ I'm also addicted to yours and Luna's tech stashes. I want to raid your storehouse and just... SWIM in Luna's stash

Trust me I don't have a stash, I have "a few things".
LunaP on the other hand... That's not a stash, it's a WAREHOUSE. -
So basically... we were saying the same thing. -
I WANT TO SWIM IN THE TECH. SWIM IN IT.jaybee83, LoneSyndal and flamy like this. -
YES. EXCEPT THE TECH IS LIKE A LOT SHINIER AND METAL.
AND I AM WAY BIGGER.
Something like that, anyway. XD. -
I run both a pair of Etymotic ER4-Ps and a pair of Shure SE846s off the U3 when gaming/watching movies so you will be fine with your SE535s flamy.
Using DH with such precise IEMs it's possible to pinpoint sound exactly around 360 degrees.

Speaking of DAC's and audio , a lil OT but the sound blaster x7 was just announced
Sporting Burr-brown DAC this thing looks rather nice.
Sound Blaster X7 - Desktop USB DAC and Audio Amplifier - Creative Labs (United States)
Granted if you start getting into that realm you'll end up using the spdif out to a real DAC anyways, but this could def drive some higher end 600Ohm cans..
Reading up on it now. -
As for the Soundblaster it seems to be kind of a Surround Receiver for stationary work in a fancy form factor but in that price class i think you'd be better off with a Onkyo/Yamaha/Denon Receiver (what i use at home) or if you just need i for headphones i'd go with the more portable ones if it should be for your laptop...
just my opinion to "external Soundcards" -
-
I have a pair of Sennheiser momentum headphones and corsair 7.1 gaming headset. Corsair is collecting dust and I only use momentum. Gaming headsets have crappy sound quality.

I'd just go with the objective2 AMP which has amazing specs and connect my laptop directly to it or go with the C5D which has the DAC includet....
but its hard to tell without knowing that your headphones are and what your going to to with it.. -
Onboard audio + good headphone amp is more than enough. I use fiio e12 amp. But planning to buy e17 during boxing day sale.

soooo back to topic!
trying to figure out how to circumvent import taxes when sending my 4790K to that delidding service guy in the States and then getting it re-imported... could potentially do the delidding myself, but that extra protective layer for the VRMs and the thermally resistant adhesive to reinstall the IHS is just too good to pass up @warranty concerns... -
as for back to topic -> AFTERSHOCK PC: 970m / 980m GTX Custom Gaming Notebooks now available! - Page 157 - www.hardwarezone.com.sg
Aftershock mentions that the 17inch model is also available for preorder = 80$ more than the 15inch
dropped them an e-mail for any kind of information abaout specs for the 17... (chat had as always no clue)
awaiting respond and gonna drop a mail to mysn with same questions
at least the preorder thing indicates that the release of the 17" won't take much longer than the 15" - just to inform the people who prefer 17"... -
Ask him to buy 4790k and delid it. Send him the money via PayPal. It will be cheaper.

i could just make sure to place an order in the US and let the shop send it to the delidding guy.... hmmm....would just need some sort of insurance, dont want me to just run away with the cpu
but then again, he could just do the same if i sent him mine from germany....gotta think about this a bit more
) i can declare it as a "reimport" and circumvent the tax. would just require lots of paperwork and bureaucracy, ugh...
id rather stick to "legal" as much as possible in this case

That's the tax man for you

Hey any news on the P771? If they've got the P751 working now according to mySN, they should put the P751 on pre-order and the 771 should follow.. I want to dump this Alienware but the 771 needs to show up somewhere before I can pre-order it.. a 15" notebook isn't going to cut it for me..
-
When the P75xZM comes out, the P77xZM will probably follow in 2-3 weeks if it follows the same pattern of the P65xSE/SG. So late December/early January will be out for preorders... I guess. By now the only thing we have about the P770ZM is this bench.
-
anyway still got no reply for my request about differences in specs.... -
wouldnt surprise me if the screen size and maybe some slight difference in visuals/materials used is pretty much the only stuff separating the 17 inch from the 15 inch model
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Hopefully some extra storage options get added in.
-
-
thats P771ZM bench was already around when prema first posted about the ZM series end of september / beginning of october

I made my custom config on Aftershock and the price for me is around ~$2000, which is great.
But... WTH? Internal optical drive or 3rd drive caddy? I don't remember BM specs citing an ODD bay, and in the images you can't see any space for something like that -
theyre probably still sorting out the kinks in the configurator and used a general template for that
soooo happy about the lack of an ODD, so much more space for COPPER & FANS and new tech like M.2 -
P750ZM - 4790k, 32gb ram, 512gb samsung evo = 2700 USD on Aftershock
P150SM - 4810mq, 32gbram and 512gb m550 ssd =1769 USD on LPC
Well.... -
Me too. Who needs optical drives anyway
Digital delivery for software and USB sticks for OSs
Anyway I think XMG will put this baby up for sale on Tuesday, after the end of the Cyber Sales... -
-
but if you want to send it into the us, go ahead...
kids these days
btw, its pretty easy diy -
as mentioned before, its not about the delidding itself, thats not the issue
its about the protective VRM layer and the thermally resistant adhesive that american guy offers to reattach the IHS. if it was just about the delidding itself id do it myself in a heartbeat
-
Adhesive? Just look for somethig that works on PCB/Circuit boards. -
aaaalright alright, lets do some more research on this....
-
OK my ssd deal find is done. Just now brought 2x Intel 730 480gb for £270

would this black seal stuff work?
http://www.weicon.de/pages/en/download/technical-datasheet/TDS-13051200-EN-Black-Seal.pdf
its temperature resistant up to 280C, works as an adhesive as well as well as a sealant, silicone-based thus non-conductive to electricity
edit: ok, also found this here - http://www.amazon.de/dp/B00FOPYJDU/...TF8&colid=2TIDARY9U76LF&coliid=I1X0D05SCCR4IF
so it sounds like im gonna use the black seal stuff for reinstalling the IHS and the Electrolube (funny name!) for sealing off the VRMs
all in all it would cost me like 35-40€, i can definitely live with that
i guess im all set nowthx for the pointers, folks!
Any information on the new Clevo P7x0ZM?
