Ah, thanks. More stuff to google para mi.
I hope Prema comes through with an unlocked BIOS for the Bat.

Also OT your avatar, I used to think for the longest it was some 3D render of plankton from spongebob w/ a top hat, then later realized it was a Chip w/ a top hat, but the more I see it the more I really want to know what the heck it is, its a well placed shot for one xD
It's cute nonetheless, in fact I think I'll draw it when I get home -
WT*? It's NOT a sword? -
Did not go further down before hitting reply
Edit: And it is right? -
Yeah, it's from Transistor.
-
since there is no optimus.. will there there an button to turn off dGPU without going into the bios and use 4790Ks integrated one ?
-
Ok now I have to go back and stare at it, then google it, I"m going to draw my character wielding it now <3 thanks for that though now the magic and mystery behind it is gone too.

The epic paint diagrams would overload the internet
The no MUX implementation means that the IGP controls all the displays so you are bound by its ability to control them and output anything.
There is also some latency added by having it send off the render, get it back and then display it but that is really only going to hit VR.
As for the avatar:

Hi does anyone know if the P751 is compatible with the quadro cards? just the lower end ones. Will already start saving up for this.
Does anyone else know also why the 17 inch models don't yet offer QFHD displays? it just makes more sense to me to pack those pixels in a slightly larger form factor. But nonetheless, I'd be happy with this one, most definitely. -
I wonder if the heatsink will play well with a delidded chip. Bare die mount + Liquid Ultra should help to push 4790K to near desktop levels hopefully.

However since its past midnight I need to sleep since I have work in the morning .3. course I could always redraw/touch it up from my bed since I have my trusty CintiQ companion <3
-
@Meaker for the paint diagrams
@flamy for the "light loads" on the can
@lunap for the thought on the plankton from spongebob (thats what i was thinking until this MOMENT!) and the awesome pimped up avatar holding a P751ZM (add some bat-ears to that in your redraw)
THANKS for making my day! just rofled my butt off herenow i can properly start work for today

Im thinking about buying the 770ZM when it comes out, but i have a some questions. thoughts and predicts are welcome
* Is it the same keyboard on the 770ZM as in P170em?
* How much will the 240v take me?
* how thick is it really? compared to the 170em again^^
Thanks for your help, regards Niclas -
all speculation at this point, since thus far we only have some real data on the 15 inch model. but here are some thoughts from my side:
its usually the case that the 17 and 15 inch model of a clevo series share the same type of keyboard. since the p751zm is using a new kind of keyboard that hasnt been used in any other clevo model before its safe to assume that the p771zm will use the same kind, thus wont be identical to the em series
i assume u mean the 240w psu? at stock it should be fine and even allow u to max out ur gpu, but not in combination with a cpu oc, that will require a 300W+ psu
the p750zm is 36 mm thick, thus the p770zm should be a bit thicker due to the thicker display, for example. i would be guessing around 40mm, which is a bit thinner than the p170em
cheers! -
Wow...Yesterday I brought Kingston HyperX Impact 2133Mhz 16GB kit from Amazon for £108 and today they increases it back to £132.

I may wait for the 17 inch version.

For anyone want save some money more computers offer 512gb Samsung X941 for £301. Buy it through their mobile site to get free next day delivery. That's £100 saving compared to mySN.

I'll put the P751ZM on Twitch when I get it for some real time views, though be sure to have a good connection since I tend to stream around 3.5-5k when attempting to pump raw quality out.

It's a very similar controller just the straight line speed is uncapped.

Interesting, BM has the P651SG w/ 980 fora slightly higher price than the p751zm, I wonder if its a pre²order lowered price and will jump afterwards like the p35x did? Here's hoping something shows up else where in the next week! I"m getting ready to throw some money!
Also fired off an email asking for information on the display panel they're using for the 1080p since we already have the info for the sharp/samsung 4k'sflamy likes this. -
I think P65x costs more to made due to 4 different sku's. For example 980/4870, 980/4710,970/4870,970/4710
P75x you only need one SKU and desktop cpu cost less than mobile parts -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Mobile parts are simply more expensive. That's the idea behind this model.

Do NOT get the Samsung XP941 unless you enjoy cooking (with) your laptop.

And just saw this after posting mine so revising lol... should I just hold off entirely on m2's for now?
What would you guys suggest? I def want 1 normal HDD ( 1TB ) for storage purposes. -
-
Yea, I am still debating the RAM bit. I'm having to do some googling. XoticPC got back to me saying above 1600 might cause instabilities and blue-screens, and they don't offer it. So, this will be aftermarket. Dunno how it affects warranty.
Then, I was reading this AnandTech - AnandTech | Memory Scaling on Haswell CPU, IGP and dGPU: DDR3-1333 to DDR3-3000 Tested with G.Skill - and they say avoid 1600 and below for Haswell.
EDIT: Found another article saying the same thing (don't go below 1600 for Haswell): http://www.corsair.com/en-us/blog/2014/march/haswellrealworld
I'm confused
-
yep, i for one love the possibility to upgrade to M.2 ssds later on, but ill wait until there are models out that truly use the whole bandwidth of this connection, e.g. 1.8 GB/s sequential speeds, preferable coupled with 4K speeds that exceed SATAIII specifications
-
Still to early to tell though and I can always purchase the screen separately. 3k is more of a want vs a need, however my perception may change after lol... going to Fry's today to look around for some 3k displays.
----------
AND I"M BACK....
Holy crap SPLAT BATMAN do 4k displays look amazing on the 15" D: !!!
I almost bought the y50 just purely for the glossy screen and all. I was unable to set 2560x1440 oddly the screen zigged out, but it does 2048x1152 oddly.
Given how things adjust easily I can easily see why people vouch on these screens. Now I absolutely MUST find a Glossy panel for the ZM -
^ lol, I had a feeling that would happen. I'll prolly get around to Fry's this weekend also.
I, myself prefer Matte screens.
Although, with all your monitors, do you still need a replacement screen? -
-
dellienware owner Notebook Evangelist
Np9377 or 17 inch version of the p7?
-
-
+ the WSGF stand and attack my monitors so I could play while walking, then get a solar powered panel for my back and wear one on a hat to charge them when I'm not at home.
Or get a battery big enough to power them lol
Any information on the new Clevo P7x0ZM?
