Thanks John, I usually use it plugged but I need to move it frequently so i need 15" or less. I plan to buy something from 1750-2000€ (more or less) but this is a great budget (at least is a big budget for me) so I want to buy a long term laptop i can move but i can use as desktop pc when I'm at home , I want to buy now the non updatable things (screen, ports,sockets...) This is why I have selected this model (but i would accept any advices) because it have thunderbolt 3, 4 HDD sockets, up to 1080 GPU, high end desktop CPU...

Actually the P751DM2-G is my favorite unit at the moment, nothing beats that level of power at 15".
I have with GTX 1080, something that CLEVO is not offering atm but it´s a totally due-able upgrade, 1080 runs smooth as butter and temps are great ;)

For the resellers that are testing Coffeelake CPUs, is it worth the wait or is it approximately close enough to Kabylake? Also has Nvidia said anything about MXM format changes with Volta? I'm looking for a laptop in the next 6 months.

Coffee Lake hasn't hit testing stage yet on the mobile front, so there's nothing to report here. Volta is similar, but more importantly most companies on here will be under NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) which means that even if we were testing new hardware, if it hasn't been officially launched we aren't allowed to discuss it in public.....always the curse!

John has already answered some of those general questions for you, I'll try and clarify some additional points:

1/ The (only) difference between the 751 and 750 is that the P751 has black surround on the rear fan exhaust ports whereas the P750 has silver trim at the rear. We only have the 751 because we don't like the silver trim and in my opinion it also looks a little bit out of place with the rest of the chassis.

    3/ Battery life.

It depends in part which GPU you opt for - 1060 uses less power on load and a little less power at idle, but because of the design of the chassis and that there's no Optimus (can't use the Intel Graphics for power saving) you're not going to get big battery life from this type of machine.

Idle maximum would be from around 2h45 to 3h15
    Load maximum 90 minutes

4/ Yes, we offer a 3G and a 4G model as options at purchase on the configuration page - you can generally install these at a later date but be aware that you should only use modules which are available or supported by the company which you decide to purchase the laptop from. Just because 1/ you'll probably be able to get support from the company incase you have any issues 2/ not all 3G/4G modules are pulg and play, so best to stick to the ones we have tested, have had validated in the chassis and know are 100% compatible.

You also need to bear in mind that although the 4th M.2 slot for the 3G/4G module is standard, the antenna for the module connection is a factory option. This means that there are some companies which purchase the chassis from Clevo with the antenna and some which purchase the chassis without the antenna. Though not 100%, if a company is selling this chassis without 3G/4G options on their website then it is possible (and I stress possible) that there isn't a 3G/4G antenna in their chassis. So best ask first if you're unsure.

    These are:

    3G - Huawei MU936 note that this isn't compatible with Win 7.
    4G - Huawei ME936

5/ PSCPECIALIST tend to list all the options that you will see on the Clevo pdf, but like most other companies they can't and don't offer every option. It could also be that they used to offer a 4K display but don't any more. It is possible to order this chassis witha 4K screen from Clevo, and probably to order it from a company which might install a 4K panel themselves (rather than ordering 4K versions of the chassis from Clevo) - but like John said, most companies don't offer it for a reason.

6/ our standard warranty is 24 months including parts, labour, support and shipping within the whole of Europe :)

EDIT - independent battery life results, take a look at the "Battery Life" section towards the bottom of this XMG U507 review; https://www.notebookcheck.net/Schenker-XMG-U507-Clevo-P751DM2-G-Laptop-Review.209180.0.html

Is there any reseller in Europe that currently offers the combination of i5 and GTX 1060? I don't need the additional processing power the i7 offers, but would prefer the GTX 1060 over the 1050 ti.
@XMG I was looking at your P507 Value Edition in particular, any chance you will be offering an i5 version too?

Just incase anyone is interested in the P507 Value Edition, it's something that we exclusively sell through our reseller network, for example Amazon, Cyberport, Notebooksbilliger - it's not something you will find on our main website.

Very very soon, you will find the XMG A517 Value Edition available from the above mentioned websites, this will be with i5-7300HQ and GTX 1060. To start with it will be exclusively available thorugh those sites, it may then be available on our own website with full customisation options depending on how things go :)

Just to add some consumer feedback on that but for me 4K offers an advantage that the 2560 screens just can't compete with even with better refresh rates and better colour gamuts. The ability to run at 1080p "native" due to an exact doubling of pixels

@sicily428 - used to be the N250BU - now it's the N751BU. The SLIM 15 configuration page actually differentiates from the previous chassis, at the very top of the configurator it says "Body with SCHENKER logo (ID: N751BU)" :)

The N750/N751 replaced/updated to the W950BU in the Clevo lineup at the end of last year.

The option isn't currently on our website (we recently switched from DHL to UPS for non-EU shipments and the pricing structure hasn't made the website yet!) , but we can ship to UAE no problem - just contact our sales team at info @ mysn.de and they will be able to put a quote together for you.

Be sure to select Donald S as the person that helped you as you checkout so I can apply the Notebookreview discount for you.

HIDevolution.com offers Notebookreview Active Members a $30 discount on laptops that are over $2,000, and $20 for laptops under $2,000. This discount can be stacked with the 2.5% cash discount (payment by Bank Wire Transfer (T.T.)). If you are using a debit card or credit card for payment, we will not charge your card until after the discount has been applied. If you are using PayPal for payment, we will refund the discount to your PayPal account. If you are using a 2.5% cash discount payment method we will deduct your discount and send you payment instructions.

To qualify, you must be an active member on the Notebookreview forums with a minimum of 5 posts. When you place your order please put your Notebookreview User ID in the ‘…special requests…’ text box on the BILLING INFORMATION page, just below where you can select me as the person that helped you, as you check-out. Once you place your order we will email your HIDevolution.com Gaming Team Badge that you can put in your Notebookreview signature if you like!

With International Priority shipping it takes 2 business days to the UK, then another 3-7 working days to your door.

Just configure the model you want and click Add to Cart. Then enter your Ship To address as you Checkout and it will show you the available shipping options and their cost before placing your order. You can then decide whether you want to place your order.

We can usually ship within about 7-12 Business Days after payment received, or parts become available, but we offer a Rush Order of 1-5 Business Days after payment received, or parts become available, refunded if not possible, for a $50 fee. If you would like Rush Order please select it as you Check-out.

"...optional Optimus support..."? What do you mean...do you want MSHybrid, or no MSHybrid? (Optimus is no more...been replaced with MSHybrid)

What GPU to do you want?

Do you want soldered Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ BGA CPU, or empty LGA CPU socket? (If empty LGA CPU socket, then MSHybrid is not available).

BGA + MSHybrid would be which barebone?

That means, that if the CPU is socketed, MSHybrid is not available at all? You need a BGA CPU for that?

    17.3" QHD (2560x1440) IPS 120Hz + BGA + MSHybrid barebones = Does not exist.

Correct, a socketed LGA desktop CPU based laptop will not have MSHybrid. MSHybrid is designed to provide better battery life for a laptop when the discrete GPU is not required, and there is no need for battery life enhancement in a desktop computer, so it won't be there in an LGA socketed desktop CPU based laptop.

Above you said, that a soldered BGA CPU can have MSHybrid. (?)
It's not mandatory, the display itself is the most important one.

Yes, the soldered BGA CPU can have MSHybrid, the socketed LGA CPU cannot.

Do you want IPS 120Hz-25ms (does not exist in a barebones), or TN 120Hz~5ms? Keep in mind, the new TN screens are not at all like the old ones. Color vibrancy, viewing angles, and even color accuracy are MUCH better. If you are looking for gaming speed, you will find the response time of 5ms on the new TN screens is sweet, and they run buttery smooooth.

Why barebones? With the BGA laptop, both the CPU and GPU are soldered, so the only 'barebones' part is the RAM, SSD and/or HDD.

Also, you haven't answered "What GPU to do you want?"

Gaming speed is not as important for my MMORPG and strategy games. I don't play shooters or other fast paced games. But i'm curious now. Do you have a tech sheet/data for a current TN panel and an IPS panel for comparison?
As for the GPU a GTX1060 or 1070 should be fine also for QHD.
In general i don't have issues, that CPU and GPU cannot be upgraded. My main laptop is already upgradeable (Dell Precision 7720). For this one it is not important.

Just played around with your " EVOC High Performance Systems P775DM3-G 17.3" Custom Built Gaming Laptop w/ nVIDIA GTX 1060, 1070 or 1080" and it sums up around 2000$ for the 3k+1060 configuration and 2400$ for 4k+1070. So 2400$ would be my price range.

I am not sure if this is the appropriate place for this question, but nevertheless here goes.
I own a Sager NP8258/P157SM-A. Its currently running 4700MQ, 24GB RAM since I'm lazy to buy 16 more, and 870m. I looked on XoticPC and Sager's own website but can't seem to find what I want. I am interested in something with the following:
    i7 7700/7700K, 1070GTX, 15.6" with 120HZ Panel (obviously 1080p).
NP9153 comes with the process and GPU I want, but not the panel. NP8157 is basically the upgraded 8258 I own, which has everything but the CPU i want (7820HK). Is there any way that my combination is available?

Well I looked around, Obsidian is the european market seller for these, and xotic has the P750, which does not have the HZ. Any other sellers in US that carry this? Sorry for bugging you again.

Looking for a european reseller that will sell me a P950HP6... Preferably France, Germany, Belgium or the netherlands. I've seen xoticpc sell it ( http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8950-clevo-p650hp3.html)

    I don't want the max q 1070. I want the normal 1060 gtx :)

EDIT: I'll also settle for an US reseller that sells via an EU warehouse... Just need good customer service

My recommendation is to get it from HIDevolution. Their customization options in terms of configuration is superb then in my experience, they have some of the highest quality control standards and the best thermal paste jobs so you are sure to receive a laptop that works great out of the box and doesn't overheat.

    Here's the link:
EVOC High Performance Systems P950HP6 15.6" Custom Built Gaming Laptop w/ nVIDIA GTX 1060

In addition, since you are an international customer like me, they have a global warranty for a bit more but it's worth it as it covers shipping costs to and from your house to them two times a year.

Also, if you email [email protected] and tell him your NBR Forum username, you can get a tiny discount, not much but hey, every penny counts.

See my experience with them here:

    HIDevolution's Warranty!

Lemme know when you get it I can help you tweak it if you want since you'll be an EVOC Gaming Team Member

These are the tweaks I do:

1- Uninstallation of all the Windows Store Garbage Apps
2- Removing all Windows 10 Privacy Invasion stuff like Telemetry, sending your keystrokes to Microsoft, automatically installing suggested apps in the background, allowing Microsoft to conduct experiments on your laptop, disabling automatic driver updates through Windows updates, disabling Windows 10 ads, disabling cortana, etc.
3- Removal of nVIDIA and Intel Telemetry
4- Adjusting a lot of options in PC Settings like disabling Windows Tablet Mode (you have a laptop not a tablet), disabling suggestions appearing in the start menu, disabling automatically connecting to Paid WiFi Hotspots, disabling Game DVR which reduced performance in games, and a lot more.
5- Replacing Cortana with a much better search tool that finds results instantly
6- Restoring the classic Windows 7 Calculator and Windows Photo Viewer
7- Restoring the Classic Windows 7 Start Menu

@Phoenix I just checked those prices for international warrenty for 2 years (the standard in europe, as you probably know). It would mean +400$ and then I haven't even chosen any options yet :(

Kinda blows up the price to the point that it's nearly equal to the 1070 gtx max q model...
And i'm guessing the tax wasn't included in the price yet!
