    Cash discounted price: $1,987.53

This quote was custom built @ Powernotebooks.com

I'm planning on ordering 1st thing in the morning tomorrow so it's a toss up between xoticpc.com or powernotebooks.com delivery address would be at EAGAN, MN - 55122-1757

Which of these 2 sellers can guarantee my order to reach me on the 26th?

    Thanks!

Hey bro, are you referring to my build? If yes with the build above how many days before it gets shipped once I place my order today?

    Thanks!

Sorry I should have quoted the other question asking how long we've been in business

For your question, Sager has been estimating 3-7 busienss days on their standard build time. Rush production is available which will cut it down to 1-4 business days then you'll want a fast shipping option like next day. Since Thanksgiving is this week the 26th is only 3 business days from now so its going to be cutting it very close. With Rush and next day there still is a good chance.

Sager has removed the option so any Sager reseller will no longer be able to provide it. You'll want to look into contacting a builder rather than a reseller if you have to have the 675m, but it's likely that it's being phased out by Nvidia themselves so won't be around too much longer in my opinion. The 675MX offers pretty good performance for not too much more money and then you have the advantage of being Kepler based which lowers the heat the card generates.

We can't because the Video cable that hooks the the LCD can only handle 1366x768 and no more, so unless we got the cable redesigned it won't support anything higher res (1600x900 doesn't work either)

What are the best options for upgrading my Sager NP9150 with a 7970m to a 675mx nvidia card? I am trying to sell the laptop outright but I think most people are leary of buying a laptop with a 7970m so upgrading to nvidia might be my only choice.

I've been reading a lot of threads, reviews etc. on Sager NP9150 and MSI 16F3.

My question is: Why is NP9150 w/ 680M at least $100 more expensive than Force 16F3?

According to reviews and user opinions, the main differences about these two barebones are:
-Sager has much worse speakers than 16F3.
-Sager has a malfunctioning headphone jack which outs only treble (no bass). An external USB soundcard required!
-Some Sager users are disturbed by the constant "whining" of the fans even at idle. They also do not like the characteristic of the noise the fans make. It is more like "whiiiine", whereas Force users describe the sound as a "whoosh". In short, Force's fan noise is more bearable.
-Sager has a non-chiclet keyboard, and it's not liked in general. I have yet to see someone saying "I like the keyboard". It even has two keys assigned for "\". Force has a chiclet keyboard, which did not attract much hate as far as I can see.
-Sager is lighter, which is a good plus for portability.
-Sager is thinner, which is a great plus for portability. (Is this the case? Can someone confirm that it is indeed visibly thinner than the MSI barebone?)
-Sager has two individual exhaust fans that would provide better cooling, at least in theory. But the aforementioned fan noise makes this point more of a negative.
    -Sager is more upgradeable(?).

So why the Sager costs considerably more despite its issues? And why more people prefer the Sager to MSI Force?

All those points are pretty valid and I've heard them all too. If you're comparing the Special Edition price its just much lower at this time because of the holiday discount.
The Sager will have a better build quality as well.
The main reason the Force will cost less is its a "store brand" if you will. Since its built off a barebones chassis here its gonna be just a little less.

You best bet at getting a 675MX would be to contact your reseller to see if they have one available. By the time you purchase that and sell the 7970M separately you'll probably be pretty close to the same price as just selling it as is but you'll end up putting in more work to do the video card swap.

Looking at Sager NP6175 with SSD, 2nd HDD, and 6235 wifi have priced the system at Xoticpc, lpc-digital, and Pro-star. They are all they same price, who should I buy from since none are giving me an incentative to buy from them?

    Just 2 simple questions:
    1. When will the next generation of Clevos appear? May-June 2013?
    2. Will the next Clevo machines have higher resolution screens, as in something better than the dreadful 1920x1080 ?

There isnt any exact dates but they new ones usually appear once the new CPU's are out. Haswell will be the next one and will probably be in May-June as you mentioned.
I doubt we'll see 1920x1200, there actually used to be more of those 2+ years ago then there are now. 1920x1080 has been beaten into customers minds as the best resolution (while its not) that i bet its here to stay, at least until we see 4K :)

Hmmm. Yes. But I read that next year we will be seeing higher resolution screens in notebooks (higher than full hd). I can live with 16:9 as long as i get a higher resolution than what i have now. I mean, it's somewhat funny that tablets have higher resolutions than most notebooks and there are strong reasons to believe that next year we will see most flag ship phones boasting full hd resolutions.

The screen is one of the most important parts in a notebook and yet it seems to be the one mostly overlooked by manufacturers. Higher resolution screens don't need to be standard, but they need to be offered as an option...

You are resellers, it's in your interest to relay these things to your manufacturers. At least this is my view on the way things look now.

I agree with you in wanting a higher resolution. They're just aren't any on notebooks unless you consider the Apple Retina displays true higher resolution. But per your questions if the next gen computers will have a higher resolution, theres nothing out there we've seen. The new ones wont be out for months, maybe after CES we'll see some new offerings. It would be great if they did have them even as an option. As jaug1337 suggest 2560x1440 would be nice option. You can find them on 27-30" monitors currently so hopefully they make their way to the 17.3" range.

    Hey there.

I bought my W110ER a few months ago and I need some replacement parts for it. I could go directly to my reseller (PCSpecialist) but I don't really want them asking questions about warranty or anything, so I'd rather not.

    I need:

    - Replacement Back Cover
    - Replacement Keyboard
    - Possibly larger battery if there is one

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...resellers-new-keyboard-back-cover-w110er.html

More details in that topic there.

Basically, how much would those parts cost me to get in, roughly? How quickly are they made available?

    Thanks

The supply is pretty slim, there was a user saying they found a few on Ebay the other day. I'd contact individual resellers directly about this. Technically we're all under a cease and desist from SteelSeries as far as I'm aware.

A cease and desist? What happened and why? I was thinking of upgrading to the steelseries - is it now something i would have to do on my own?

Steelseries asked that everyone stop providing this option as it's not the intended use of the product. Further explanation would be best coming from SteelSeries directly. At this point it's likely that unless you were able to find a reseller to do this for out of their existing inventory that you'd have to purchase and install it on your own. It's not a hard upgrade to do, but does require dremeling of the keyboard in order to fit in the space available.

I was not aware of that.

I guess it's due to the exclusive contract Steelseries has with MSI. But the funny thing is that it wasn't MSI that requested this, rather Steelseries did... they get a whole more out of this, do they not? Odd..
