CLEVO Drivers Update Utility by OBSIDIAN-PC

J'ai essayé la première méthode avec dos et c'est là que j'ai eu des soucis j'ai donc c ensuite flash le bios 06.06.04 de xmg hier et la j'ai retrouvé L'overclock mais avec la méthode EFI mais je ne possède toujours pas la G-sync qui a disparu depuis la maj que mon fournisseur ma donné .. 06.06.02
Mais un tuto d'installation me serait quand même d'une grande aide si jamais vous avez le temps.

 

Un tuturial pour quoi? Pour update le BIOS? Parce que si vous avez déjà update la version XMG à l'aide d'EFI, for the version i shared just utilise exactement la même méthode.
Quel modèle d'écran avez-vous? Je ne pense pas que le problème de G-SYNC soit dans le BIOS...

 

Écran LG fullHD G-sync comme j'ai dit depuis l'update bios que j'ai faite la G-sync ne fonctionne plus donc je ne vois que ça

Can someone please give me the original stock BIOS for Clevo P670HS-G? I flashed to Obsidian and bricked my laptop, can not get my laptop to turn on, is there some trick I can do, like remove all storage devices, except the USB drive with the old BIOS and maybe it will boot into BIOS? as of now it does nothing, I hit power, blank screen

I want also say that after installing Windows 10 Creator Update I've experienced an average -10 Celsius drop for the temperature of the CPU. Now using both W10 CU and Throttlestop with the latest update I reach 91 celsius maximum while playing Mass Effect: Andromeda under a lot of stress, and 35 Celsius in idle (before it was at least 45 in idle). A really good news for me. But I don't really understand why it happened.

Anyone else has experienced the same behaviour with an i7-7700k?

 

Did you try to press fn + D and power? This fixed my P751DM2 once when it appeared dead after a bios update. It may take up to a minute for it to start.

But so that everyone knows, this is one more reason for why i don´t share the OBSIDIAN-PC BIOS, if i let everyone flash them i will get everyone asking for support after bricking the units... that´s a no go!

Also, my BIOS flash did work I guess, I did not have to install stock ROM, BIOS shows 1.05.05 and Obsidian logo at launch, its same model number of CLEVO, and I just finished my clean install of OS, and 0 issues, in fact temps seem even a touch better, I wonder if temp readings are better with your BIOS.

Anyways... John is amazing, and I really appreciate all your help, and yes I agree about not giving the BIOS out, sometimes I become to greedy for my own good. I mean the model numbers matched up, so I thought hey no risk, but then the command prompt just stalled for 30 minutes... but well w.e it was it all worked out, because everything is running smooth as butter.

 

If anyone can help me overclock with the Obisidian BIOS I would appreciate it, my temps are great ever since I installed conductonaut grizzly last week. I don't want anything hardcore, but what values in the 2 images below do I need to change to say... hit 3.9ghz on all 4 cores no downclocking? (I already know to do 39 for all 4 core values, lol -just curious because this new BIOS is a little more advanced then the stock Clevo, and I am sorry to John once again for pestering him about the BIOS not installing right, I guess it did because everything is running great.

Also, should I enable Intel Trusted Execution Technology and/or SGX SW Guard Extension? My old BIOS never had those two features, specs in my sig.

 

I wouldn't even touch the BIOS... Just throttlestop the hell out of it!!!

 

Yeah, I will give throttlestop a try, but TS does not allow you to change offset voltage or PL1 and PL2 limits... so I would still need to use the BIOS some wouldn't I? Not asking just John, anyone in the community is welcome to chime in. Thanks, 3.9ghz should be very easy to hit on all 4 cores... just need a little guidance is all.

 

Increase PL1 + 2 limits and put offset in bios if you can't do it in TS. Strange you can't do it in ThrottleStop. Then tune the rest with TS.

 

I just watched a tutorial on TS, John was right, I don't need to mess with BIOS at all, cheers, downloading TS now.

hey i got the same BSODs.. but now i updated to the latest from obsidian app.. hopefully that is gonna fix it? what version are you using? please tell me with what version you were having issues and with what you fixed it thank you very much!

 

I use mine daily and I had no bsod, my lap is always synced with the app.

 

all right,thank you john.. well i had not updated yet the touchpad but since i indetified the caues of those BOSD ( and i was so noob to think those bsod were too low voltage!) I went onto your app and updated it to lastest.. hopefully that is gonna fix it.. an other thing john please, i knew that my laptop was a DM3-g but instead your app sees it as DM2-g. should i just trust what your app detects in order to select the right category of drivers for my pc?

Hummm what is the serial number for your laptop? Check the label under the laptop.

I used the software to update the audio package from 8004 to 8040 unfortunately it seems that nothing is updated. Anyone here facing the same problem? It will restart after uninstalling then restart again after installing and after all that the update button is still showing.

And also my boot time gained almost 15 sec when I did the update.

 

What is you laptop model?
I just post the CLEVO Audio drivers so i not the actual responsible for the driver.
But let me try to check what my be wrong, please tell me the laptop model.

 

You laptop is indeed a P775DM2, drivers are the same as the P775DM3 but the BIOS will be different, so while you can use the drivers from the DM3, be careful if you ever decide to update your bios.

 

CLEVO P870KM1/P870KM1-G

 

I have the same model and this happens even if you install the Realtek audio drivers directly from the official website.

First it says uninstalling old drivers and then it reboots. Then the setup starts again after the restart and once again it wants to uninstall old drivers. This kinda keeps looping. What I did was I just cancelled the installation after the first reboot and the latest drivers were still installed.

Ignore the realtek uninstaller and just do this:

Open device manager -> Sound. video and game controllers -> Right click the realtek one -> Uninstall -> Make sure you check the box next to "Delete device driver" or w/e.

Then the realtek driver should install just fine.

 

I did this too and guess what ? Windows will install the Realtek drivers automatically even if you delete the driver files. Anyways like I said, just cancelling the installation after reboot works fine.

Installations also work better if you're not connected to the Internet. Unplug your Ethernet cable or disconnect from WiFi after it downloads the correct driver package.

 

Did you turn off windows driver updates?

Search for "group policy" -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update -> Set "Do not include drivers with Windows Update" to "Enabled"

Then delete the drivers, reinstall realtek and it Windows should never update them again. That's what I've done and I've never had an issue with it.

 

Like I said, I never had any problems with the drivers. I was just telling the other guy about how I cancelled the repeated installation and everything worked fine. I never disable Windows Updates either. Never had any problem with it all these years. Thanks for your suggestions though.

New times... We have Windoze X now. In more or less just Alpha costume. Close Win Updates. Update via Windows Update MiniTool or use standalone patches.

 

New update 1.03.04

-Fixed a bug where resources widget was not starting with the saved font size.
-New download manager made from scratch, now supports queues and includes many other features, will be useful for future app features.
-Added information in the bottom of the app window showing how many driver updates you have and a button to update them all.
-New progress bar indication inline with new download manager: Shows download speed, shows how many files are in queue.
-New uncompress method, now supports uncompress queue.
-Uncompressing will not open a new window, it is integrated with the app showing the progress in the progressbar.
-Update all will download all, uncompress all, start installing the queue, AND even if you restart in the middle of the queue when you re-open the app it will resume the install queue.
-Converted most the app functions to individual progresses, this way there´s no UI freeze.
-Fixed wrong behavior when the app could not connect to the server.
-App is now able to install .inf file packages (FINALLY)
-Other small fixes.

 

Information:
Due to the lack capability from Killer Networks, i removed all the software from the drivers, installers will only install the minimal .inf files.
I been working with killer stuff for more then 8 years. And the software is just crap, im sorry to say this but there´s always at least 50% probability it will not work right, consume high resources and cause all sorts of problems. Since i started this app i always wanted to offer a package for everything Killer that did not include the software but, instead, only the drivers.

Please test the killer drivers install (update your drivers) and tell me if the installer really worked and you are getting the latest drivers like the app reports.

If you have killer software installed i would recommend to uninstall it, but hey, it´s your choice.

 

App update not working. After updating it still shows 1.03.03 and says new version available.

Clicking on Update lan drivers just hangs the app.

Please download the full package from my signature and replace all files.
This updates includes new files so the updater might not be able to deal with it.

 

Did that. Now its stuck at "Checking if we need to load Widgets" ..

Thanks for the quick fixes. The app works now. However, when I tried to update the LAN driver, I got this.

 

Of **** ! I updated the Realtek audio drivers without noticing that in the new app "Use latest audio driver even if it breaks SBX" is checked by default. Now my SBX is broken and yes I use it and I like it. Now I have to rollback the audio drivers ...

Could you please at least add a warning while installing the audio drivers if this option is checked ?

 

@John@OBSIDIAN-PC The SBX update option is gone from the app as well. Is this intentional ?

 

i use the throttlestop version of the app, shall i disable throttlestop remove it from boot and then update the full application?

 

Sorry about that.
If you untick the "Use the lastest Audio Driver" thing, SBX will show up again.

 

Nop TS is still the same, did not make any change there.
