CLEVO Drivers Update Utility by OBSIDIAN-PC

Is there a chance the N850HP6 will be added? The app looks great BTW!

 

So I got my first BSOD today, and the error was : syntyp.sys

Apparently that has to do with the synaptics touchpad driver? Just curious if I have the latest one, or if I should revert to an older one. I'm currently on 19.3.4.66.

yes, you need to roll back to an older one, i'm using the one from august , i also had that BSOD.. now i won't update anymore any driver apart from gpu, chipset and wifi and critical things

I used to have the same bluescreens with different Driver/CCC versions but this fix had fixed it for me. I had these issue with three different Clevo models P651SE/P651SG/P651HP6-G ! In my opinion this needs to be fixed by Clevo !

 

thank you for the info, well yes i'm just stating that with older drivers , i'm not having any issue now.. so i wonder if there's some imcompatibility between clevo ccc and newer touchpad drivers

 

Hi, I actually googled the issue and came across this!

I have done it, and so far so good, I will obviously have to do more testing and time will tell, but I believe it is the proper solution for right now!

Sorry man, i don´t have those units in stock anymore.
Most of the P6HP will work, the only that may be different is Audio/SBX/ControlCenter, everything else should be the same.

 

I'd like to say big thank you to Obsidian-PC, its a really great tool, something like that should come from the factory.

I discovered small issue regarding the Audio driver for P870KM1-G: the current audio driver is reported as version 6.0.1.8004 while there is update to latest 6.0.1.8040 available. After updating the version of the updated one becomes again 6.0.1.8004 and expects to be updated after refresh. It seems that it is the issue of the version information only.

Hi John Since you're officially our savior right now (and it's true, I can confirm), do we need to prepare for a new update of the tool soon?

 

The tool will have some bug fixes, and some new features, i was busy the last days doing something like Teamviewer for our brand (will probably include it in a app tab called "support" which should be something for clients only).

PS. If you guys have ideas for new features, you can always tell me, if it´s something i can code i will do it.

Just looked for a Hotkey update and found Control Center AP 5.0001.1.25 on the Clevo site while the app says Control Center AP 5.0001.1.04 is the latest.

Is this perhaps because Control Center AP 5.0001.1.04 has "Windows 10 64-bit" in the description and the other one doesn't?

 

Yes it seems like that there's a new Control Center version available for P7xxDM2/P7xxDM3 models on Clevo Website, released on 31 May 2017.

I would be very careful before of using it, however.

John, do you know something about this new version? Do you plan to release one without XTU?

 

Forgive my ignorance, but why is XTU such an issue?

 

Sometimes, it messes with the fan profiles and (at least for me) the stability of the system.

A small bug report: when updating the tools themselves, the old taskbar icon remains, so windows shows two icons until you hover over the old one.

 

I believe that is actually a old MS "bug".
I could kill the icon before update or something, but there should not be a need for that if MS was not lame

 

Can confirm that that is a quirk of Windows itself. The company I work for as the same problem for one of our products.
Maybe you can call some form of taskbar/notificationbar "forced" update.

 

It´s kinda easy to solve with QT.
Just add a option to hide the systray on the "Update" button.

That's not a solution, it's a workaround. Because the icon representation will still be in memory making it a kind of memory leak.
Or maybe I'm wrong and according to this, QT will probably send then command to dispose of the memory.
But I'll give you some pointer over TeamViewer

 

Does anyone know what the use of FlexiAccess is and how I can disable it permanently?

When I first downloaded CCC, I believe FlexiAcess was always turned off by default and never turned on. I was playing around with it, and clicked it now the Wifi FlexiAccess turns on automatically. Either It always did that or I triggered it to always come on now. I'm not sure if this affects the laptop at all however.

Just wondering, are there any settings where I can change it from not coming on all the time?

 

just click on reset all settings to default on CCC and it will fix! i had that issue too!

just gpu? or more things? can i use obsidian to update all drivers in clevo P751DM-G using on type my model 751DM-G2?
of course i must to dont update any gpu driver because that is one difference, any more differences?

No not all drivers are the same.

At least those 3 are not the same, everything else is OK.

If you use SBX software then you need to get AUDIO and SBX drivers from the link i gave early. -> But hey you can try the app too and let us know if it works

ok, but i have already sound blaster x version 1.00.12 and obsidian have the latest 1.00.18 i think will be fine
and with audio im using already newer version than obsidian say, my one is audio version 6.0.1.8036 and obsidian say 6.0.1.7898

and any advice for control center, doesnt start with windows the control panel, i put hkey.exe in the folder

I would recommend the following free open-source Software Equalizer, it is far better than the SBX crap.

That is weird, i tested it on both P870 and N131BU

 

I've tried also to restart PC and install again, but I got again the same issue: it doesn't work.
