Sorry to tell you but if CC was uninstalled and you still get that HKKbd BSOD then it was not properly uninstalled...
Another great thing of CC... Even Antivirus can mess up its uninstall....
Manually fix that is also a real pain...

At the moment SLI is limited... It monitors both but will spin both gpu fans based on the hottest gpu.
Monday you should have the second gpu controls ready for testing ;)

I shall indeed be ready. I'm serious the minute you have it and the light control ready I can uninstall CCC. I mean my CCC turns itself off every three days like please

I'll check back every few months to see if my model is supported. Until then, best of luck to the devs of this promising project.

Some feedback for the P751DM2-G and the fan control utility: It seems that having both Clevo Control Center and the Fan Control running is a categorically bad idea.

I see screen flickering with high loads in all games when both CCC and fan control are running.

Disabling either restores the expected behavior (no flickering and no in-game stutter).

    Testing continues.

Fan control should not Interfere with CC if CC is in automatic fan mode.
Also, when gaming, always minimize fan control.
I will not waste time making sure it's 100% compatible with CC as the whole point of this is getting rid of CC.

Keep in mind that the lowest fan update interval the highest the use, so I would not go Bellow 250ms...

Latest Intel wifi drivers and airplane mode available?
If you use the keyboard shortcut to go into airplane mode does it actually start airplane mode?

    John

Just noticed something bugging me. Not sure whether its by design.

I use your fan control on Manual mode.

If i decide to use the fn + 1 keyboard shortcut for max fans it just pops up 'FAN Speed Automatic' and doesn't do anything rather than the expected pop up of 'FAN speed Maximum' and the fans switching to maximum.

If im on EC Automatic fn + 1 indeed starts max fans

Again not sure whether this is expected behaviour or not

    Thanks

I believe the objective is to use fan control's hotkeys to select between the four profiles and two EC profiles (auto/max).

But I can reproduce your results.

@John@OBSIDIAN-PC Your EC max fans are not as fast as the FN + 1 toggle, though setting fan speed to 100% in manual mode does hit 100%. It's me playing it by ear without a RPM indicator, but if I set all speeds to 100% in manual and swap between "EC Max" and "Manual" the manual speed is definitely faster, as does swapping between "EC max" and "EC automatic" then hitting FN + 1 also produces softer fans on "EC Max fans". Seems like it's about 80 or 90% speed, though I don't know if this is because CCC is installed for me or not.

    It is expected.
Fan Control overtakes any FN+1 or CC setting.
I will soon add keyboard shortcuts for all modes ;)
Code is actually already there and tested, I just haven't made the Ui side of it so it's disabled atm.

Yes I already know that, it was by design, the max fans mode was temporary.
To be honest FN+1 is in theory Over-Voltage, it actually send more voltage to the fans then the supposed max voltage the fans usually support.
Initially I was thinking about adding a check box which would allow you to select "use Over-Voltage". But since Clevo uses FN+1 like that then I guess they decided it is safe... So I have that issue pending on decision.
Also fans a bit more cheap then a cooked GPU...

Yup. Keyboard shortcut can switch to airplane mode. Btw can you make Fan Control starts immediately when booting instead of waiting for like 1 minute to start? It seems like every next new day when I boot my laptop I will get annoying super loud fan noise. I need Fan Control to take control of my laptop fan to stop that noise. The default EC fan behavior is really suck. lol.
Another thing is can you make the laptop off the keyboard light by default first before Keyboard LED is ready so I can get rid of CC completely?

I can say that on my P370SM3 I pretty much ran max fans 24/7. Literally. For about 3 and a half years until I needed to replace it for other issues. And I did a similar thing with my D900F, since my room used to be so unbearably hot. The P870 is too loud for me to keep it on max all day, but if trend is any indicator, the fans won't be dying out anytime soon, really. So safe is safe :D

    Fan Control Updated to 1.0.7

    - PLEASE TEST SLI systems...
(does the Temperatures and Load indicated are correct or are they inverted GPU2 is actually GPU1 ?)
(does the Manual Controls for GPU2 work?? And do they actually control FAN for GPU2 or are they inverted?)

    - Added a security check that will show you a warning if you try to run the software from the wrong install dir
    - Max EC Fan speed should now be the actual max fan speed (just like FN+1)
    - Proper App exit to avoid windows from throwing warning on shutdown/restart (hopefully its fixed)
    - Actually check if Add to Startup task is created or not and reporting it back (better add to startup logic)
    - Will not have any background stuff for GPU2 if it does not exist
    - Hotkey Option (more settings to come)
    - Behavior settings (sliders) are now independent for each Fan Mode
    - Reduced Startup time (30s) - you need to uncheck and re-check Start with Windows
    - Added GPU2 controls////// NEEDS TESTING

Well this was a good morning! Managed to do a lot!

Beta is now open again, please report!

Kind of... the fan is rated for 12V operation, not 15V :p

But yeah, if even Clevo applies 15V at FN+1 so should we.

Oh trust me. Clevo throttles half the unit for "safety". If they think the extra volts is fine then cool.

Hi there. Here to report that having reinstalled Wimdows 10 everything works as intended the Fan Control autostarts (with 1m delay indeed...) and there are no longer messages preventing shutdown. I'm buying the fan appright away. Keep up good work!

I changed the time to 30s on restart.
You can uncheck the "Start app with windows" and recheck it again to make it start in 30s.

I have additional question. Obviously CCC and your app seem to conflict with each other as me and other users tested. Your app is definitey more advanced and user friendly not to mention the support that you give to the users. Yet I'd like to be able to control the backlight of my keyboard. Is there any possibility to do that without CCC and could you possibly provide the rough timeframe when you'll be releasing your keyboard app? And since I've just purchased the fan app will I be able to download and use it for free or you'll be charging for the keyboard app separetely?

If you go to Device Manager does the Card Reader show there?

Did a quick run of time spy w/o oc on the GPU and while it didn't made the fan run at full speed during the majority of the benchmark it did trigger during the cpu benchmark section for a few seconds while running at 4.7/90 watts. I'll be doing more testing this coming days.

Btw notice the display temperature on the pic, is that normal?

Wow weird looking UI... what Resolution / Scalling are you using???
    ALSO PLEASE NOTICE!!!
EVERYONE needs to understand that Automatic Fan Modes like (Silent, Normal, Extreme) have not been carefully designed / tested for this BETA, we just put them there to allow you to create your own...
I would recommend using the manual mode, specially on SLI systems.

    Hi,

weird, reinstalled and now it seems fine. says 'ahead'

Installed latest LAN driver but that keeps reverting back to 9.0.0.42

***SORTED*** the LAN driver with full uninstall of driver and reinstall.
Weirdly the Card reader has disappeared again even in control panel ???

Can you please confirm that in Manual Mode the GPU Fan controls are working fine?
I mean, check if "GPU Fan" controls GPU 1 and "GPU 2 Fan" controls GPU 2 fan or are they inverted?

    Brilliant program, thanks! :)

Small issue for me.. the update program will not activate after auto updating. This is before and after a clean win10 install. If I use the files from your complete package then it activates again. Fan control activates fine after updating. Any ideas? ^^

Would it be possible to add a tooltip to the FanControl tray icon so that one could, add a glance, see what FanControl is doing without opening up the full GUI? I can currently use Throttlestop for this, but I'm not sure that everyone will have that running and an overview would be neat.

The dials are ranges. It's 66+ because of previous dial range, it auto adjusts.
So you should start setting them from left to right.
They will Auto adjust according to next and previous dials.
I thought it would make sense that way, maybe not?
Now ranges going back to zero is weird indeed... Should not happen... I'm struggling with everything related to SLI as I have no way to test at the moment.

So start adjusting from cpu then Gpu fan 2 then GPU fan 1? Does it require Open Hardware Monitor Running in the background?

Don't worry about the dials it's just me not knowing what I'm doing :( and maybe allow the app to save the fan profile that the user make so that people here can share it to others?

Makes no difference if you start from cpu fan, gpu 1 fan or gpu 2 fan... They are all independent and they do not have any effect on each other (or at least that was the idea).

It's just each fan temp ranges (dials) that should be done from left to right to allow you to better understand the logic.

A share profile feature is in my to-do list. ;)

    Released Fan Control version 1.0.10

    - Fixes for SLI systems
(I would really love to have more feedback from SLI users)
Please report if both GPUs monitoring (Temperatures and Load) are being displayed correctly
Please report if MANUAL mode controls are indeed controlling the correct GPUs

    Hi John,

SLI feedback. (Please excuse non technical terminology)

Using manual mode and raising the relevant dial:

GPU fan control is tied to right hand fan (if i tip laptop front end up and identify which fan is working 100 %).

GPU 2 fan control does the middle fan (again if i tip laptop front end up and identify which fan is working 100 %).

CPU fan working cpu fan as expected.

Not sure how to determine second part. I do have throttlestop showing temps in taskbar with there always being a slight difference of approx +2 to + 5 degrees in the CPU temp from your readings but pretty much bang on for the GPU's although throttlestop only gives one single GPU temp.

    Hope this helps

    Regards

    Chris (UK)

So, yesterday after having tested the Fan Control (1.0.7) and been quite impressed with how well it was working, I decided to do something I simply never do: I purchased both Updater and the beta Fan Control in the spirit of helping the development process, and downloaded the Full Laptop Tools package. I am quite pleased with how well everything is working, with one caveat. Having uninstalled CCC prior to using any of the new/beta tools, I'm now stuck with the LED's for both keyboard and cover logo being constantly on (bright white). This is quite disconcerting. Is there any way to turn them all off without reinstalling CCC? I would be quite happy with a super-basic all on/off functionality until the full-featured Keyboard LED component is available at some point in the future. Thank you!

I guess my only grumble at the moment is that the dialogs blend into the main panel. If you're not actively looking for the message box / dialog thing, it's effectively invisible. Could that be improved?

    John,

CCC has a really handy feature that allows me to switch between discrete and hybrid graphics without having to enter the bios. Is it possible that something like this could be added to the control station?

Just to be perfectly clear, using Manual Mode (as recommended) in Fan Control negates one's ability to use the FN+1 shortcut to quickly enable Max Fan speeds. Instead, one must check the box in System next to "Enable Hotkeys CTR+ALT+1 to 6" and use CTRL+ALT+2 to enable the "EC Max Speed" Fan Mode, and then use CTRL+ALT+3 to return to using the Manual Mode again. Is that correct?
