There is a newer version of driver for the card reader on the Realtek website. Can you update it?

    Here you go:
    http://obsidian-pc.com/KeyboardLED.zip

Just extract all content to C:\Program Files\LaptopTools
That includes Keyboard ON/OFF and Brightness level... i will start working on it for real when i finish other pending tasks.

Works perfectly for the keyboard LED's only. Doesn't control or turn off the cover logo LED's - they remain on regardless of the settings. Better than it was previously, though. Thank you!

Is there anything that the control center can do to overcome the apparent brain damage of the Realtek setup (where my headphone jack never works) and the whole audio jack input/output is beyond confusing (P750DM2G)?

Yeah I just purchased. Btw John I noticed that the app is automatically closing my open hardware program every time I start my computer. Is there a way to prevent this since I need the OHM for controling my modded U3 notepal?

Until we add more monitoring options and properly test them i would strongly advise against keeping multiple or other instances of OHM besides the included.
How are you controlling the U3? Restarting OHM or running the included OHM should not break whatever your usage is.
If you can PM me with details about how you are using OHM i can help you.

Humm i wish i had a unit with that problem, that is actually easy to solve, but i need a testing unit... Let me think about how you can help me troubleshoot it.

    Via https://github.com/akej74/grid-control!

    screenshot_1.png

To summarized I'am using NZXT fan controller in U3 and the grid software to control it with my computer. The software is basically just a better version of the CAM software by NZXT if you are aware of it without bloat!

I have tested the fancontroll both on 751tm1 and 775dm3. Both cases it worked well! There were some ramping up and down a little too much betwen 49-50C, however it could be set manually. Some keyboard shortcut would be nice to switch among the modes, however it is very huge upgrade for my 775dm3, as the current EC boosts the fans pretty much. Instant buy for me :)

I found this before and wondered if it might be relevant : http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/solved-sager-np8278-no-audio-from-headphone-jack.755533/

Since I prevented the driver from loading to avoid BSODs, perhaps this fallout is related.

There's also this thread that suggests ControlCenter has something to do with it : http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...evo-p650hs-headphone-jack-not-working.810783/

    Awesome.

    1) Seems like Updater prevents from restarting computer directly. You might need to check it out.
    2) Any reason to delay Fan Control startup time? Seems like Control Station also has some delay time but faster than Fan Control.

I have a question with regards to this:

Is the full package still available for usage? Does it mean that other than the updater which I have to pay to use, the others is "free" as long as I paid for the updater?

    Thanks!

    Control Station is Free
Keyboard Led will be Free (when ready)
    Updater is paid (license based)
Fan Control is paid (license based)

All software is free and will work out of the box, without any license, with laptops from OBSIDIAN-PC or laptops from any other re-seller who made agreements for this with us. You do understand i´m not CLEVO right? We are just a small company, spending 8h a day developing software for our laptops. We are open enough to allow other re-sellers to get it too, change texts, theme, etc at a very discounted price. For non-OBSIDIAN clients i could just make it not run at all and not allow anyone to buy it. We decided to explore a commercial path for this, being such a niche market it is hardly profitable at all.

I will compile a full package at the end of the day since there should be some interesting updates today.

What about my issue with the OHM. Any workaround it? My solution is just add it as a task to run the OHM but maybe you have better idea. Anyway John what do you think of my CPU always running hotter than my SLI gpu's when gaming? is that normal? Almost 20 deg c difference!

    Is it a delided CPU?
    Do you have Undervolt?
    What clocks you running?

When fan control software is open with OpenHardwareMonitor in the background, your software for the U3 is unable to fetch values from the FanControl OHM instance?

Don't get me wrong, I'm good with paying for software that works. Just trying to find out which are the paid ones as I just got my clevo and my searching for better than stock software led me here.

Will wait for the new package :)

    Do you have Undervolt?..... 80mv
    What clocks you running?... 4.7

Unfortunately no. Both apps are set to start and usually OHM will load first but as soon your app started the OHM will just close. I can just restart the OHM w/o issue but there is too much hassle since I also need to restart my GRID software for U3

    Control Station updated to 0.0.7

    Highly experimental release
Gives you minimal CPU controls based on Intel Extreme Tuning (i hate it personally), only good thing about this is that it allows you to DISABLE any background service it may create...
To be honest i strongly advise using ThrottleStop instead of this solution... i just needed a "OEM" style thing to set the defaults for my clients, something that would never get blocked/deleted by AV software...

    More to come later today

Is Updater supposed to advise or automatically re-install the touchpad drivers after Intel Chipset/ME driver updates (whichever one is known to break the touchpad)? For me, this didn't seem to work - I force-enabled and downloaded/installed the touchpad driver prior to reboot and everything seems to work.

I'm a Throttlestop fan. How do you failsafe this approach in your implementation to avoid a user potentially causing their machine to fail to boot due to excessive undervolt or multiplier override values?

Finally problem solved! The issue is the GRID software is starting before your app so it can't detect the ohm in fan control, I just had to change the delay time before it runs. Thank you John :)

I tought i had that solved, it should automatically trigger touchpad after chipset install, im going to check!

Actually my problem with TS is that when you add it to startup there is no failsafe, it will reboot and apply values when windows loads.
XTU by default will not apply values after a system failure, im actually enforcing them but i have planned an alternative for a next update :)

Another temporary KeyboardLED version, just for those who REALLY REALLY REALLY need the minimal amount of settings:
    http://obsidian-pc.com/KeyboardLED.zip

Place the .exe inside C:\Program Files\LaptopTools

For those who want a full package, here is the latest updated:
    http://obsidian-pc.com/LaptopToolsFull.zip

Exit all apps and replace all files, just put it all inside C:\Program Files\LaptopTools

For ThrottleStop support just move your ThrottleStop folder to C:\Program Files\LaptopTools, so that the exe is at C:\Program Files\LaptopTools\ThrottleStop\ThrottleStop.exe

EDIT: Let me remind you all the current stages!!!
    Control Station: Very Beta
    Fan Control: Stable Beta
    Updater: Production
    Keyboard LED: Ultra Beta

    Have fun!

When setting manual mode. It now sets the main gpu fan at max.
If I change the default behavior to match force sync to gpu one, then it works.

Did not change anything in Fancontrol today.
Check your security settings and check your values and ranges for all fans.
We were supposed to be over that and it was supposed to be tested and working in manual mode.

That's interesting, was your GPU in an extremely cold state? When I first started the software the 3 left-most sliders were at 100% speed, but I've since tuned them all.

Just a note to say that the updated LED version is great. It does everything I'd like it to. I've now junked Clevo's software entirely.

It would be nice to have the headphone jack working, but it's not the end of the world. Thanks again for all your hard work on these tools; I hope they pay off.

Not positive if the "Back / Stripe" setting is supposed to control the Top Case Logo LED, but on my laptop it doesn't seem to control anything. My Top Case Logo LED remains lit and remains the same color regardless of the color selected, or NONE, and remains lit even if I select the Backlight Status of Disabled. Not a big deal - just wanted to provide accurate feedback. The other settings all work great. Thank you!
