I understand that BUT it's not what you usually expect that's what I was saying... you expect the keyboard to have the lights on as you wake up the computer from sleep either using a mouse click or a key... as least this is what I got used with my old Dell M6700...

I write my opinions here just to help the software development... I am sure the John and his team will take only the good ideas :)

Hmm..I can't seem to get my fan noise down to where it used to be in manual mode. I used to be able to turn them very close to 0% and for it to be noticable, but now I have to go into 'Silent Mode' to get things how they were before. Any ideas?

    What laptop model is that?
And what windows build do you have? The app will supply drivers only for the latest windows build so be sure to have all updates.
I will add a Windows build check / warning on next update.

If you are talking about fan control in manual mode and if you do not have CC installed then nothing changed.
In manual mode you can setup the fans from 0 to 100 and it's absolute values.
If you set it to 1% or 2% or whatever then that's what you will get.

Here is the release notes for that driver:

    Driver Version: 24.20.100.6286
    Release Version: Production Version
    Build Date: August 23, 2018

    Operating System(s):
Microsoft Windows* 10-64 - Creators Update
Microsoft Windows* 10-64 - Fall Creators Update
Microsoft Windows* 10-64 - April 2018 Update -> which seems to be your build

    Platforms:
6th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) processor family (Codename Skylake) -> which seems to be your CPU
7th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) processor family (Codename Kaby Lake)
    8th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) processor family (Codename Kaby Lake-R, Coffee Lake-R)
    Apollo Lake
    Gemini Lake
    Intel(R) Xeon(R) Processor E3 v5

So if you meet those two requirements it should install, also, obviously you need to be in MSHYBRID mode, since in DISCRETE you are unable to install Intel HD driver.

@ John@OBSIDIAN-PC would it be possible to add a full screen app check for the "disable Windows key" option so it only does so when running a full screen app?

I have a better idea. You can do like my Logitech G810. It has a button that in the software will disable user-set keys on it in a "game mode":

Simply add a hotkey for "game mode" that works system-wide, like how you've done it for fan control. Maybe ctrl + alt + 7 for normal and ctrl + alt + 8 for game? Wouldn't conflict with fan control's 6 modes and wouldn't be dangerous to anything else.

Yes, the Intel chipset is not mutually exclusive from Intel ME. So, for example, whenever I update Intel chipset, it automatically sets Intel ME to a default of 0.0.0.1. I then have to end up updating both. This has been documented on this thread once before of the "0.0.0.1" problem, but it is relatively minor. This would apply to you only if you updated your chipset before ME, if not then try to update but choose to repair it instead if the option is available.

Bought the updater license, but each time I want to activate it, the whole program just uninstalls itself :D . Sup with that?

Can you please try to describe the problem better?
What you mean it uninstalls itself, there is no option and no code to uninstall the software.

Also had that problem at first, but you have to make an exception so that it restores the files and also make sure to check off the option for future scans to ignore the files if available in your antivirus provider. If not, then you'll have to manually add it to each exclusion list - firewall, antivirus, etc. Remember that no problem is a bad problem if reported on NBR, since it may be the light at the end of the tunnel for someone else's future problem if by happenstance they come across it or if they simply search it.

We even signed our software with a COMODO certificate...
I have no idea what else i can do to stop AV software from being stupid...
I tell you man... there´s not worst virus then the current version of AV software, they are just BAKA!

    EDIT
I know some of you are wondering: "why aren´t we getting 1000 updates this week, like we used too?"
So let me just keep you guys updated, i had to pause this for some days, we need a new website and we decided to go with Magento 2 and do all our theme and custom modules from scratch.

Not sure how much time this is going to take, i´m doing everything alone so it´s a pain... but hey it needs to be done.
Code + Design + Understanding the Magento2 structure... bahhhh
But that´s why there was no updates this week. I would say i am now at 90% of the website development, theme is done, custom code is done, now i just need to insert products (yeah even that is my job)...

Hopefully next week i´ll be back at this guys so bare with me!

Take your time and have some rest as well, the new control center and the rest of the apps are already great and with that few minor things to adjust we can wait. :)
I am already happy enough, that thanks to your efforts I was able to completely skip installing CCC for my computer, went straight with your solution.

    thanks for the explication

There is no need for update to latest or newer chipset driver. This is not a real driver. Read this statement from Intel regarding the importance and the function of the "Intel(R) Chipset Device Software".

"Forcing the installation of a not required or already present Intel Chipset Device INF file doesn't make any sense, but will blow up the user's registry and the Windows\inf folder with garbage (unused resp. unusable oemxx.inf files). Furthermore the forced installation of unusable drivers generally may overwrite actually in use other drivers and can cause degraded performance or a lack of features."

But imei driver is important. And you should install the latest.

    Nothing should be causing that.
Please try resizing the window, you can resize by click/dragging from the bottom right corner.

If that does not work go to C:\Program Files\LaptopTools\Settings\ and delete ControlStation.ini

If that does not work let me know.

There is no need for updating chipset drivers. This is not a “real” driver. See link in my previous post. But Imei drivers should be updated. Some info for you about why you should update IMEI

Chipset drivers would not yield performance improvements and would only be done if you had specific issues.

With the recent, exciting news about Valve taking another big step for gaming in Linux, I decided to give Mint a try. I'm pretty happy with how it runs on my PA71ES-G, but wow..custom fan curves that work with this system seems to be a pretty tall order.

How hard would it be to port fan control to Linux? That would be so, so great. That and something like ThrottleStop, and I'd be set for life.

Quick question to who might know.
As a shop representative can i make posts with promo codes for the two non-free apps?
I was thinking about celebrating the community feedback by offering a special time limited discount for both Updater and Fan Control.
Not sure if this type of "promo" stuff is against the rules of this forum or not.

Hey @John@OBSIDIAN-PC I just noticed on the latest control center, when I unplug headphones, the volume of the speakers is reset to zero. This is with the "disable volume sync" option enabled. Doesn't matter what the speaker volume was before headphones were plugged in.

I volunteer as tribute - gladly. There should be an exception filed under Sager & Clevo for those that have virtually fixed broken machines out-of-the-box.
Perhaps a disclaimer such as one done here would work:

    Hi John
I would like to buy the Fan Control version. I have Clevo W 650kk1, but the beta or the free version not works for me. The paid version will work?

Did you tune the values properly?
If you select Silent / Normal / Extreme it works fine right?
If that´s so then you need to manually tune the values for CPU and GPU, please notice there should be two tabs, one for CPU and another for GPU.
