Somewhere along the way, the Soundblaster stuff doesn't seem to be working for me. It looks like an upgrade from 1.x to 2.x occurred and the 2.x version isn't working correctly. I've tried forcing all to be enabled, and reinstalling the two sets of drivers, but it's still giving me trouble.

Is there a way to go back to 1.x? I couldn't find a download somewhere for the Soundblaster stuff. Without it, the audio sounds pretty muted..

Why are you assuming it´s not working?
Maybe you just have the old standalone SBX app which is no longer the one being used.
SBX is now a Windows Store App.

Basically SBX will always use the SBX Connect Wrapper (which is a Windows Store app) inside this window it will display the correct version (720 / 360 / Cinema / etc)

    To correctly update SBX:
Go to Control Pannel and go to Add / Remove Programs, uninstall everything related to Sound Blaster / Creative / SBX
    Now Reboot
Now make sure you are using our Audio Driver (from the Updater Software) - Install it if needed and then reboot again
Now Install SBX from the Updater software

The end result should be something like this:

-Sound Blaster Connect (Windows Store App)
-Realtek Audio Control (Windows Store App)

Also: from now on, you can update SBX Connect from the Windows Store!

You can create shortcuts for both like it did, this way you can access them from the task bar.

Credit card worked for me, other than the card getting frozen from trying to make a purchase in another country.... Had to call and tell them it was me making the purchase.

A few comments, questions, and concerns:
    1) The Realtek Audio Control App is unable to download from the Windows Store as corroborated by the reviews left on the page for it within the Store.
    2) Whereas Sound Blaster X-Fi MB5 had a perceptible effect on the sound, there is no effect or no substantial effect that I can hear Sound Blaster Connect provides.
    3) After uninstalling Sound Blaster X-Fi MB5, Updater still says I have installed version 2.0.0.30 (I assume that is Sound Blaster Connect?)

Something is wrong or there's mixed stuff in your install, I've tested on various systems and it works flawless.
I do need to manually tune SBX to my taste, but the end results are actually better, I just need a small amount of EQ and bass boost.

Remind me what is your laptop version again. Or even better use the online chat in my store (during work hours) and ask to talk with me and I'll check your system with remote control.

OK. So I manually launched the SBX application to test and this time it actually came up and there was an effect on the audio. In the past it would whine that it could not find the expected audio hardware. I do remember buggering around with the drivers (force re-installing them) and it didn't seem to have fixed things originally, however it does seem to be working now.

In the old mode, I didn't have to manually launch anything. The UI is utterly confusing in the SBX tool, so I couldn't see a way to check/set the auto-start.

In my system i have no need to manually launch anything for it to start, i mean, the UI does not launch on start by my sound settings are indeed loaded on start.
Check windows update and Windows Store for updates, Sounblaster updates are released from there.

I got Obsidian fan control and it really is far superior to CCC, it really is worth the investment, congratulations to the developer.

With Fan Control I would like to improve the noise and my GPU tempeturas that have reached 84º in my P950HP6.

To help I applied Diamond thermal paste on CPU and GPU and did undervolt on CPU and CPU temperatures are optimal.

The fan control has several tabs, advanced, ramping, do you need to configure unfield Cooling Logic or load vase offset?

I would like to know if there is any hint, manual configuration that I can use to mainly download the Temperatures of the Video Card?

I received the latest update and just need some help understanding the new function before adjusting it. Hello @John@OBSIDIAN-PC do you mind explaining what & how to properly implement those settings. How will it affect the manual config that I made for my fans?

What do you mean with "download the Temperatures of the Video Card?"
    What is your laptop model?

    Advanced TAB:
Load Based Offset : YEAP i recommend this setting, set it up around (from top to bottom):
    30%
    10 counts
    35% to 50%
This will make your fans start to work based on device LOAD (usage percentage) speeding up the fans before the devices actually get hotter

    Unified Cooling Logic:
How is your cooler? Does the CPU and GPU(s) have any shared pipes?

    Ramping:
That´s how fast the fans will go up or down, you can now set it up with 3 different ranges. For example my setup:
If the temperature is 0-60ºC i only use 2 steps of ramping, so i get slower up and down action
If the temperature is 61-75 i make it speed up faster by using 4 steps of ramping
If the temperature is 75+ i make it go even faster by using 8 steps

The new ramping step options are amazing! It allows me to use one profile for all tasks. Before the update i had to switch to a high performance profile for heavy tasks.

Wow you are still using the old installs!!!!
    DELETE C:\Program Files\LaptopTools folder!!!

Please use the individual installer for everything:
    https://code.obsidian-pc.com/UpdaterSetup.zip
    https://code.obsidian-pc.com/FanControlSetup.zip
    https://code.obsidian-pc.com/ControlStationSetup.zip
    https://code.obsidian-pc.com/KeyboardLEDsetup.zip

Each app in it´s own folder = works!!

    Exit all apps.
Open task manager, go to services tab and close the ClevoService.
    Delete C:/Program Files/LaptopTools
Install each app one by one.
    Done

Updater lists all the models so i guess you are talking about Fan Control.
    Fan Control supports:

    All models with one fan
    All models with 2 fans
    All models with 3 fans
    :D

Just released an updated which is focused on P870 stuff, so i´m leaving the BETA open for today, you can install it and try it out.

I am very happy with the Fan Control, Control center and Keyboard led.
Is it possible to create a shortcut, turn the keyboard LED on and off?
Every time I turn on the notebook the keyboard lights turn on and off, to delete I need to open the software and click on enable and then on dissable.

Keyboard LED was hidden from the system tray before I installed the new package for it, is there any way to keep this behaviour? I don't really need the Keyboard LED icon there.

I´m sorry but i dont really understand what you are asking. Can you try to explain it better?

So basically you want Keyboard to Load with Windows right? To apply watever the values you have selected correct?
But then, instead of living in the system tray you want it to quit? Or is just the icon that you want to go away? Because if it´s just the icon then windows allows you to hide the icon already.

I want the icon to be completely hidden (i.e. even from the tray expansion area). Previously it would start with windows and keep running (to handle the auto dimming and restore values when resuming from standby), I could see it in task manager but it was completely hidden from systray, even the expanded systray. If that's not possible then no big deal, was just curious.

When I turn on the notebook, the keyboard lights come on and do not turn off after a few minutes (an average of 1 minute).
To turn off the keyboard lights you need to open your software (keyboardLed) and click on dissable and then on enable.

If you select "Disable" in Keyboard LED and reboot it should disable the Keyboard lights after you enter Windows session. That´s not happening for you is that it?

Hahaha that´s funny because that´s the symptoms of a problem, which is actually your solution...
Go to C:\Program Files\KeyboardLED\ and rename the "branding" folder to anything else... voilá!
It wont show in the system tray because it wont be able to find the System Tray icon resource ;)

Every time I turn on the notebook the keyboard lights come on and do not go out. The LEDs are on.

I would like the backlit keyboard to turn off the LEDs after a few minutes.

Is there a hotkey on the keyboard to turn the LEDs on and off?

Nope but if if you select "disable" in Keyboard LED it will turn off the keyboard when it opens up.
In my system I have KeyboardLED starting with Windows, and when it loads with the option "disabled" it does turn off my Keyboard...
Weird that it isn't doing the same for you... What laptop model do you have?

I am talking about the driver update utility, because when i download it the drop down menu for model is not usable and it just suggests some other model, which has different CPU model.

    Hey @John@OBSIDIAN-PC!
I've tried out the FanControl Beta just to test things out and remember I used to say that ClevoService would shut off the laptop during load? It's not doing that anymore! Dunno if you did some changes to it or not but its perfectly fine now! The ramping tab is quite nice and my fan noise was much lower than EC Automatic during idle (wow what a huge difference it was- an audible hum to basically inaudible)!
    Keep em goodie updates coming!

P.S.- Also, I'd like to know hows work on KeyboardLED for per-key-RGB keyboards going. I really want to turn off my keyboard LEDs!

You can find the list here:
    https://code.obsidian-pc.com/product/obsidian-tools/

The Service was greatly tuned, we still keep tuning it until we find perfection.
Basically we had to find the ideal timing for EC access, in a way that it would not flood it, making it inaccessible to BIOS, at least that was my assumption which seems to be correct. We tuned the access timing to the most sensible laptop model we could find, which means it should play well with all others.

The ramping steps was something i found myself wanting, slower at lower temps, faster at higher temperatures, it was logic to me :D

With the latest addition of Load and Unified logic i don´t feel like there´s anything missing that i would like to add, so basically it´s all about fine tuning and bug killing now.

As for the per-key RGB i really need to get my hands on one. Remote debugging is hard. It´s yet another one of those cases that working with other big re-sellers would help me by A LOT. Still... nothing... i do have some small re-sellers offering software to clients, usually they buy license by license, but it´s not very expressive to be honest.

    Here´s my current ROADMAP:

    - Finish Keyboard LED and Control Station (including in-app uninstallers + 4K support)
    - Code an Android app which will connect to the all apps to show you Temps / Loads / Fan Percentage / Power Modes / Updates / etc --- The code for this is already included in all apps, only need to do the Android bit.
    - Finish my DPC Latency Fixer - This is a whole new monster, i´m going all out in code quality, the UI only uses placeholders and everything is generated by beautiful lambda functions, which means there will be no need for adaptation to any model, so it will be an app for all Laptops/Desktops running Windows.

Hello, I believe you have solved the problem. I did a system restore.
At this point the restoration had not installed Clevo Control Center.
I installed the Obsidian tools (Control Center, Control Fan and Keyboard led) and they are all working perfectly.
    Thank you

Been having some fun optimizing my gaming for quiet. :) My little notepal cooler turned into a problem, as the big fan on it doesn't have a fan speed control, so it's running full, and wooshing. So I swapped in my big ol' Thermaltake one, which is powered and does have one, and set it up. Still makes some fan noise, but is quieter than the laptop fans when gaming. It reduces temps down about 4-5 degrees at these low speeds, which helps FanControl to use lower fan speeds.

Overall, it's been a delight, and helps quiet the tinnitus I was developing in my right ear from the constant WOOSH from the EC Automatic fan curve.
