Do I need another program like throttle stop or XTU, so I can use the Control Station undervolt? Because at the moment it does not work when I apply it. Checking it via HWMonitor.

That section is actually the one that is not 100% finished (i´m actually working on it as we speak), you can open XTU and check if the values are being applied or not too.
Sometimes XTU can go crazy if you are using other software like TS. To fix that you need to reboot and Load Setup Defaults.
I´ll release an update when i have the new Control Station ready, it´s actually the only app that needs work before i start moving on to new stuff. -
Any idea on P870KM1 (3 fans), the Second GPU fan would act really weird? (on/off/on/off)
Using a single GTX 1080.
The main GPU fan is fine, and Second GPU fan overwrite is set to Default (what does that do, I assume clone Primary GPU fan?)
Here is what I mean, CPU fan is running perfectly stable at 40%, Primary GPU fan is stable at 70%, and Secondary GPU fan is very confused.
http://puu.sh/CUNS6/85102abee1.m4a
The secondary GPU fan works fine in Max and EC Automatic.
Version 2.2.5. -
John@OBSIDIAN-PC Company Representative
Which means the second GPU fan should be cloning the First GPU correct? -
I have problem with updater. The internet works fine for me.

I'd assume so, or at least follow the unified cooling logic page if disabled.
The stats page show them sharing a fan speed %, but the middle fan (for secondary GPU, but can also pull heat from primary as they share a heatsink) is just cycling back and forth between 0% and probably the speed it should be every second. -
is the clevo N9xTP6 model supported by this updater app ? How do i purchase a license if its supported?
-
John@OBSIDIAN-PC Company Representative
The drivers should be the same as the N850HP6, let me know if it isn´t and i can add support for it.
PS.
CONTROL STATION updated to 1.2.7
Fixed some bugs and added 4K scalling
Fan Control updated to 2.2.6
Added a button called "Fix Dependencies" which will re-install all needed dependencies
New app stable release: Remote Monitor
With this app you can monitor Fan Control data over LAN or the Internet
For Fan Control users who have a second PC you can get it for free here:

Still if you want to try a bigger EC access time you can do this:
- CTRL + ALT + DEL
- Services Tab - Stop the service called "ClevoService"
- Download this: https://johnkeelnas.com/files/BETA/ClevoService.zip
- Extract that one and replace the one C:\Program Files\FanControl\monitor
- Start "ClevoService" again from the Task Manager Service tab that you open before
That´s it.
PS I´m testing Fan Control with the worst / most sensible CLEVO laptop i could find, if it works on this one it should definitely work on all the others!

Noticed that under the CPU Tuner on a system with a 7700HQ, the 1 core setting has gone down to 28. I want to say this was 30 something before, using the recommended button.
Am I imagining this or is something else possibly going on?
Also, I'm prompted that there are updates for the Touchpad as well as Soundblaster SBX, and both seem to install successfully, but upon recheck/restart, the same prompt to install is given. -
Hey. I'm using Monster notebook which is based on Clevo(like Saber etc.).
My model is: Abra A5 9.2.2
My notebook specs are i7 7700HQ, 1050ti, 16gb of ram
My first question is, can I use this Control Station without any problem? Because I'm using clevo control center v5.0001.1.88 and I dont like it.
My second question is, which model should I choose to update drivers via the Update Utility? I see that there are only Clevo models. So, which one is equivalent to mine according to my specs?
Thanks. -
John@OBSIDIAN-PC Company Representative
Probably not the case for the 7700HQ so just set the values you want to use and click the "Re-Apply On Start"
For the SBX thing:
- Check for Windows updates, make sure your Windows is up to date please, if not install them
- Open Control Panel / Add Remove Programs and Uninstall everything related to Sound Blaster / Creative
- Reboot
- To make sure nothing is blocking our uninstallers you can even disabled any Antivirus software for the next steps
- Install the SBX driver using the Updater
- Install Reaktek Audio using the Updater (even if already installed please install it again after installing SBX)
- Reboot (finish the realktek install and reboot again if needed)
- Check for Windows updates again, check for Windows Store updates too (it updates Realtek and Connect if needed)
NEW STUFF:
Fan Control - Remote Monitor for Android:
Only need to finish the UI, code to get values over LAP/Internet is done
This will be a part-time work -
Any chance you could add a "Apply NumLock on Start" option to Control Centre?
Many thanks.Last edited: Mar 6, 2019 -

Hi John@Obsidian-PC,
I bought a laptop from you guys model P775TM1 in September last year.
I have a few questions:
1) I noticed that no matter the setting in Control Center, it simply refuses to start with Windows ( both options are activated/start in Tray/start with Windows). To further clarify I think I found the issue as well. I noticed in CCleaner the other day that the path name has a misspelling: ''Con Strol station'' which might make it not activate the startup command properly. Other applications run fine on system start.
2) When clicking Recommended settings in Control station for CPU Tuning it sets the Undervolt to -95mV, I was 100% sure it was on -100mV when I first received the laptop. However after one of the updates all of the presets were reset and I was forced to click Recommended settings to apply OC again. I am aware this might not make a huge difference and it depends on the processor, however whatever helps with heat means a lot.
I have 8600k, Gtx 1070
3) The infamous SoundBlaster is acting up, sometimes when I turn on the laptop all the settings are recognized, sometimes it tells me there is no Sound Card detected in it's settings. I have read one of the recent posts from you on how to fix it, and haven't tried it yet, but wish to say it is a pain in the a** occasionally.
4) Please if it will be ever possible again, add the keyboard LED temperature settings again. I know it was causing latency issues, however I found that to be extremely useful.
Thank you in advance! -
To the guy above with a 7700hq, i've got a 7700hq in a p950HR and my recommended is 38 for 1 core so you might be bugging out.
To obsidian:
Bought the fan control and am absolutely loving it!
Control Station (unpaid for the moment) i'm having issues with though, any help much appreciated:
Since installing i've lost brightness control with my hardware keys (uninstalling, reinstalling and going back to control center as well as reinstalling original and new Intel drivers) and also with windows 10 (so hardware related presumably). Problem is present on internal and external monitors, also can't change from Intel control panel. - No longer an issue, for anyone else out there, i fixed it using Vipers post on this thread
http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/p150em-brightness-not-changing.700812/
I'm noticing that the hissing from Audio isn't stopping in high performance mode (i've lost entertainment mode obviously but balance isn't working either) , i've tried the volume sync and headphone fix options but i still get the crackling and popping that used to only happen with Control Center when I was in low power modes (line filter or something presumably), any thoughts? I had some updated drivers, went back to original realtek and Creative ones and still present... Some presets in creative help but that's only because they're dropping the volume.
Keyboard backlight controls, sound controls and all other Fn keys work i should add.
Cheers,
CodLast edited: Mar 7, 2019 -

Where is your Control Station installed?
Is it at C:\Program Files\ControlStation ?
Or is it in the old install dir: C:\Program Files\LaptopTools
If it is in the second you might want to install everything with it´s independent installer.
The file that creates the task is located at C:\Users\JohnKeeL\Desktop\ControlStation Intall\ControlStation\settings\constrolstation_task.xml
And the error you reported is not there, so you might have a old version. Re-installing Control Station should fix it.
2)
Sometimes we reduce the undervolt if we found systems where it caused crashes at the previous value.
But you can manually tune it to the best value for YOUR system.
3)
Re-Install the Audio Driver, should fix it for you.
4)
Not sure when i will be able to do it....
That one needs to be disabled / muted!!!!MiSJAH likes this. -

Thank you for the quick reply. It is installed in the individual folder, or option 1 as you mentioned.
C:\Program Files\ControlStation

Any plans for Muxer control in Control Station? Would be nice to toggle MSHYBRID/DISCRETE from app instead of spamming F2 all the time I want to switch. -
@John@OBSIDIAN-PC where can I get the 1.0.19 version of SBX for my laptop!? Kinda hate the new version (the overall design)
(P775DM3-G with 6700k and a 1080) -
Cheers for the suggestions but the noise, I've disabled all that stuff above, the beeping/fuzzy/static noise seems to be prevalent when watching netflix or other video (tried chrome and firefox), sometimes it'll just perk up as CPU use increase... I've noticed in the the past but changing to high performance has always fixed it, i figured the motherboard powers down a line filter or something in low power modes, but i've no idea if that's a thing... Cheers!
I'll try a fresh install of everything but I need to find some kind of Clevo uninstall tool (preferably for all drivers and software), trying to avoid having to do a windows refresh to confirm when exactly during the install of fan control and control station it went awry or even if it's a coincidence.
I will mess around with some of the fan profiles to make sure it's not a fan ramping up and down i'm hearing but am not sure how likely that is, whether i'm hearing acoustic or chassis vibration or it's electrical interference?
One other one, any future plans to bring Intel HD uV to the software? I usually run mine at -80mV and seems to do a bit better on temperature when i'm using HD on something GPU heavy like 20+ tabs in chrome?
Cheer guysLast edited: Mar 7, 2019 -
I probably sound like a broken record by now but is there any chance of turning OFF those Lid Leds?
I kinda gave up hoping, the black duct tape over them looks like a permanent thing but I guess I had to try once again to ask for that feature...
Thank you ! -
I think he already said that he will try to fix that as soon as he can get his hands on a laptop model with those lid leds but if he can't get one it's not feasible.
-
@John@OBSIDIAN-PC
yo john, I was wondering:
since you threw in your app many fixes for weird behaviors, is it possible to throw in a fix for the blank tiles (with no icons) in the start menu? I usally fix it by force restarting the explorer process and this issue causes no other problem but the blank tiles so it's nothing major. Yet it would nice to have a fix applying on boot/wake up. -
John@OBSIDIAN-PC Company Representative
Hummmm I'll check that tile thing.
And I'll also add another automatic brightness fix.

I have updated system bios and the UUID changed and thus I have lost my newly bought license to Updater and Fancontrol.
How can this be fixed ?

BIOS updates should not change the UUID... Bahhhh this is happening a lot to be honest!

Remote Monitor for Android
Creating this post so that i can have a direct link in my signature.
If you are running Fan Control not only you can monitor it in another PC (Using the Remote Monitor for Windows) but you can also monitor it using your Android Phone:
This is yet another free app.
Fan Control already shows you the IP address to which you should connect to get the data.
If you can´t connect chances are Windows Firewall is blocking it, just create a rule to allow C:\Program Files\FanControl\monitor\ClevoService.exe
As always you can request features for both the Monitor Apps, i´ll try to add them as soon as i get some time.
Link for Download:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.obsidianpc.obsidianmonitor
**NOTE***
You need to create Windows Firewall rules (In and Out) for this Fan Control service:
C:\Program Files\FanControl\monitor\ClevoService.exe
