Quick question -
My driver update utility hangs on this screen: https://imgur.com/a/k6s10DE
I've uninstalled the entire suite of tools, reinstalled, and it does allow for updates to be installed, but just hangs on this screen (and after letting it sit overnight a few times, still hangs on this screen).
It's been an issue that has plagued me for now 4 months, and unsure what else to do.
I have bought the program, and would be happy to provide the reciept/proof if necessary. -

I don't get it what you mean with "hangs on this screen"?
In what exact step does it hang?

I'll record my screen and show you exactly what happens. Standby - I'll get something to you shortly. -

It´s the first time i see something like that so it´s really weird.
Please PM me if you are available for it.joluke likes this. -
Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but maybe so since Obsidian is one of maybe three sellers I'm considering a new system from, but are there any significant laptop hardware revisions/releases coming out the second half of this year that would justify waiting any longer to make the purchase?

Would anyone happen to know or recommend using Clevo Control Center 3.0 (or whatever the latest one is for 9th gen CPU laptops) for 8th gen CPU laptops?
Since KeyboardLED doesn't yet support per-key RGB keyboards and my keyboard backlight is constantly on and blue and cannot be turned off it gets irritating. Someone said CCC3.0 doesn't hamper the system performance like CCC2.0 did, so its probably fine to install I guess(?) -

3.0 works as intended on my 8750H powered model. I've seen no issues running CC in the background during all of my testing. The keyboard features are amazing!

John@OBSIDIAN-PC, I just got an error on the Updater for the Bluetooth drivers. See for yourself:
The version number of the latest version available according to the Updater is different from the one he's trying to get me installed. -

Just search for Clevo.
All versions of CC3 (preinstalled, downloaded from drivers page, etc) are actually broken up into a bunch of separate UWP apps, which can be updated/managed through the Microsoft store. Normally you just Open CC3, and it automatically opens the others when you click them in the main menu. But you can install or uninstall any of them without impacting any of the others.
I personally only use;
LEDs Keyboard Setting - for... my keyboard LEDs
fn Hotkeys and OSD - for the OSD display (caps, numlock, etc), Fn functionality and other hotkeys (Fn+1 and Fn+3 for fans and performance mode for example), and also includes the normal CC3 taskbar icon where you can also change the performance and fan modes.4W4K3 likes this. -
Might be a silly question, but, if you’re just using ahci mode, is there any reason to have intel rst installed?

If you try to launch the app outside CC, it says "Please open from the Control Center"
But, within CC, there is no app listing for CPU overclocking. Only GPU Overclocking, which works normally.
I'm thinking it's a bundled hidden app, because the 8750H can't be 'overclocked'. Maybe 9th-gen Intel processors have this unlocked. -

Just a word: the Intel Bluetooth driver is not getting updated.
Installed: 21.10.1.1
Latest: 21.20.0.4
Running the update presents with options to change, repair and remove. Nothing worked. Even uninstalled and deleted driver files, then installed the new driver. Still showing old driver even after multiple reboots. -

Also the service that takes care of OSD messages brings me nightmares, it was the old BSOD cause...
I would like to have the Keyboard LED part of the app to run individually, specially because of the Per-Key users... and well... it would be one less app that i would have to keep coding and updating.
If anyone manages to make the LED app work individually that would be great.

I believe I even used it alongside your CC app, but I might've made the switch to TS + HWinfo before actually using it, so I'm not 100% if it worked then. I'll have to test it again when I get home. -

I guess it's possible it could depend on the model, but I don't know why that would be the case. I'm on a PB51, and I also download them from the Microsoft store (as opposed to the CC3 bundled apps from Clevos/resellers driver pages), in case any of this helps.

Hello, I'm fresh owner of Clevo PB71RF-G. I bought Fan and Updater. I knew that my laptop is no right now supporting by you.
There are few things that not working right now:
KeyboardLED - I'm only can turn on and off from app - it's not possible to control from kb.
Mouse pad - i'm not able to turn on/off from kb only from app
Control Station - I setup uv max -135 and my laptop is working - is possible get higher? (i7 9750h), recommended setup of cores and W is not suitable for this procesor -(IMHO) -
Hello,
This software looks amazing!
Sorry if this question has already been answered, but there are a lot of pages in this thread.
Even if the OEM control center doesn't offer fan curve options, the Obsidian control center fan options will still work?
I might order the P960RD soon, but if there is no way to create a custom fan profile, I might have to pass. -
-
I'm not certain which models support the Fan Control app but at least in Control Center 3.0 you have 3 fan profiles and a fan speed % offset.
Profiles:
Auto
Maximum
Custom
The offset can be from +1 to +80% of total fan speed. I run mine at +10% offset pretty much always and am happy with the noise level and cooling performance.
I don't have any time with the 9750H so I can't really suggest any settings. I would want to approach it like the 8750H and take the cores much lower than the cache but I don't know if that processor responds the same. You should be bumping down in small increments like -0.015v steps and stability checking in between. The cache is typically more sensitive than core, but either one will show stability issues. -
Not all the shortcuts have icons. I only have the F1-12 icons. fn+1, fn+3, etc work for me but no icons for them. I only found out about them while looking through the manual.

Had a wonderful time dealing with a botched Intel MEI driver that did not want to repair or uninstall. :/ Went to look up how to do a manual uninstall of that, and enjoyed the long list of registry entries. Fortunately decided to try Revo Uninstaller Pro trial, which worked perfectly, and gutted the driver out, allowing me to reinstall. Glad I didn't have to reinstall the OS.

I found a workaround to my brightness going to 100% after waking from display turn off on idle. Set the display to never sleep.
Also, I'm now using Realtek Audio driver 6.0.8703.1 (we need the FF10 variant) along with SBX 2.0.0.33, and now I have the Realtek HD Audio Manager in the system tray, and plugging and unplugging the headphones makes them alive again - don't have to reboot.joluke likes this. -
Do you have a link for the latest version of Realtek Audio driver 6.0.8703.1? Perhaps it's the solution also for me.

https://github.com/alanfox2000/realtek-hda-release/releases/tag/6.0.8703.1
Us Clevo guys need the Creative variant, which is FF10. Extract the driver (184 MB) and install only the one in the FF10 folder.
I got the Creative driver from somewhere else, but it is available on the same page (duh). (18.9 MB)
Needed to install the Realtek driver twice for it to take. With the Creative stuff, the bat file inside didn't do the job, so I installed the two driver files inside manually.
8703.1 is the latest WHQL FF10 driver so far. There is a beta 8712.1 available if you want to try that.Last edited: Jul 1, 2019djsubtronic likes this. -

If you can find the service manual for your model, do note down the Realtek codec on the board. Mine is ALC1220.
There are UAC drivers too. I suppose it is the same dilemma we had with graphics drivers (standard vs. DCH). Aaaargh! Getting too old for this.
This page is a good place to visit - I suppose you need to get the latest one for your Windows build.

Hi John and fellow users,
I’ve just purchased and downloaded the Updater tool for my P775tm1-g. It’s unfortunately not one from Obsodian sincere I live in China, but I wanted echo the others on this thread to thank you for opening it up for all us users!
My specs, for reference:
4k IPS
i9 9900k (R0)
RTX2080
64gb Apacer RAM (custom clocked at 3000mhz stable, although I do randomly get some retraining reboots after a cold start: any way to fix that apart from experimenting with the numbers?)
1tb 970 PRO NVME (512X2 non RAID)
2tb 860 Evo SATA
I have an issue that seems to have cropped up after using the utility (at least it's the first time I've noticed it): On first use, there were updates available for the sound (Realtek and SBX) and network drivers as well as one for the Intel ME. Now try as I might, I cannot update it despite resetting default settings on the BIOS (default BIOS by the way, non Prema). Any advice?
More pressing is an issue that seems to crop up seemingly randomly (may be connected to the driver problem just described): After a normal system shutdown and then booting it back up, the system just seems to hang on the login screen (it isn't quite hung, but more like slowed down by 1000%) where even every mouse pointer movement seems to only register after a 10 second delay before freezing again. Is this a graphics card issue? I've got the latest driver's from Geforce Experience.
Would appreciate any light anyone can shed on this!
Thanks! -
Regarding the slowdown on booting, please check in the BIOS if network boot is enabled. If so, disable it - it might be looking for a server to boot from.
Also, do you have Microsoft account login? If so, that can also take time to respond depending on the load on Microsoft's servers. I always prefer to use a local account, ignoring Microsoft's recommendations. -
Thanks for the response Anytimer!
Interesting note about the BIOS. I'll have to check up on that once I get home (can't wait!).
You correctly assumed that I am signed in with a Microsoft account, but as for whether this might be to blame for the Windows freezing, I wouldn't be sure since I have two other laptops running on the same Wifi (all signed in with my account on Windows 10 Pro 1903). I've never experienced this issue on other computers. Might try signing out as a last resort.
Just to throw a thought out there based on something I remember reading on an Area51m thread; could it be something to do with drivers/software loading at startup in a sequence that might botch up the system? The OP there wrote something about solving it through playing with 'startup settings', although I don't know where that menu is. I've got most startup items disabled in any case (although I do have a 'Delayed launcher' by Intel activated in there I believe..). Will have to check.
Loving the machine though. What a beast!
