Have you installed the fan control app? You don't have to buy it or even use it - just install it and let it sit there. It installs a driver that is needed by the keyboard app.

All good, just taking some time to work on other projects, there´s not that much more to be done with these apps, mostly just keeping them updated.
In our current systems all is working as intended so that´s good.
Still did not manage to make any other big re-sellers to join in to use the apps so i will have to add other products for profit (yeah this is a company, we need that type of yucky stuff).

Is your keyboard PER-KEY RGB? We do not support Per-Key.
Also, you need to install Fan Control to make Keyboard LED work. You do not need to buy Fan Control, just install it and run it at least once to make sure it is catching the CPU temperature just fine.

Is there a possibility to add Clevo N960TF to your driver updater ?

    Thx

Install it. Don't need to buy a license to run it. Only to unlock certain options and tools

My model is PA71ES. I am not sure if this is a bug or is it set like this, but when I use the cpu tuning recommended setting I get the first image. After minimizing the control station I get the second image when I look at it after a while. They are labeled original and change respectively.

Not really. The advanced features are only unlocked every time there is a change so that we can beta test, and when that phase is over, everything gets locked down again. That said, if the locked version picks up your CPU and GPU temps and switches from auto to max speed and back without fuss, you should be fairly sure the paid version will work.

I use the unpaid version and have a problem that if my GPU is not in use, then going from auto to max works, but going back to auto leaves the GPU fans running fast. Everything works fine if the GPU is actually in use. Don't know when @John@OBSIDIAN-PC will get around to fixing that. It is probably related to Optimus (auto GPU switching).

There is a configuration file where Control Station is installed in "cpuprofiles" folder. Go to 8750H.cfg and try manually setting the values?

Do you have Clevo Control Center installed?
Are you able to successfully change the clocks in Intel XTU?
Maybe your clocks were set in the BIOS by your reseller?

"unpaid version" ? Why would you use that? It only allows you to switch from MAX to AUTO, something which you can already do with FN1 keys.
Never seen a case of "Stuck" fan when going from Max to Auto, not sure it´s related to being an unregistered version.
What is your laptop model anyway?

I do have the Clevo Control Center mainly because I can't turn off the keyboard without it. I don't use the Intel XTU, also the problem seems to have gone away for now. If the problem comes back I will set them manually in 8750H.cfg.

Laptop is Eurocom Q5 P957HR. The stuck fan issue is persistent and repeatable. Normally, the NVIDIA GPU is not in use, and Fan Control shows it as disabled. In an idle state, if I click the Max speed button, all 3 fans go to max speed. However, if I now click the Auto button, the CPU fan slows down as expected, but the GPU fans stay at full speed. Only if I launch some app that actually uses the GPU, like a 3D game or even a media player (configured in settings to use the GPU), only then does the GPU fan go quiet.

Note: This only happens if I use the max and auto buttons in Fan Control. This does NOT happen if I use the Fn+1 key combination, which does the job normally, as expected.

BIOS 1.05.09 and EC 1.05.06 These are the latest Eurocom had about a year ago.
I don't know how to update to a non-EUROCOM BIOS and EC.

Yes same on Clevo's e-channel! Same BIOS and EC. No updates from Clevo

The link is dead for Clevoservice but i'm sure @John@OBSIDIAN-PC can repost it in his server

That was several months ago. Many things might have changed since then... would it still be usable?
He had said he'd add that service to the next update. Might have forgotten.

As for why I'm bothering with this and not just using Fn+1 like any sane person would, the reason is this: if Fan Control unregistered has issues on my system, who is to say the registered version won't have similar issues? I don't like asking for my money back, and I'm pretty sure John doesn't like giving it back either. He he.
(besides, I don't like the speed control algorithms he's using)

ClevoService exists in fan control already. Dunno what changed. We'll see. Most likely John is able to fix it in the mean time

I don´t think there is anything to fix, as i said that´s probably because it´s the unregistered version.
I´ll have enabled BETA for TODAY.
Please test the full unlocked app and let me know if it´s working.

    Here are my findings:
With the GPU disabled (i.e. not in use):
Max to EC - same problem. GPU fans stay stuck at high speed (could be just one of the GPU fans - I'm monitoring by sound, so not sure)
Max to any other button - no problem, GPU fans slow down as expected
Any other button to EC - no problem, GPU fans slow down as expected
Max to any other button and then quickly to EC, while the fans are still slowing down - same problem. GPU fans stay stuck at high speed

With the GPU enabled (i.e. in use): Max to any button - no problem, GPU fans slow down as expected.

Then it´s not Fan Control doing that.
If you indeed have the latest version (currently installed with included latest ClevoService).
When you click the "EC Automatic" i send the following to the EC:

    - Set Fan 1 @ 60
    - Set Fan 2 @ 0
    - Set Fan 3 @ 0
(It doesnt even matter if you have all the 3 fans, i always send that first)
So that in theory should be enough to turn off the GPU fans.

    Then I send:
    Set Fan 1 Auto
    Set Fan 2 Auto
    Set Fan 3 Auto
From this point on all fans are being controlled by the EC.

So, not only i´m telling the EC to set the fans to Automatic but i even set the GPU fans to ZERO before that.
Something else is causing that, does that also happens with Clevo Control Center uninstalled?
Specially because once i tell the EC to go automatic our Fan Control software is doing nothing, if the fans are stuck then it´s the unit EC that is keeping them stuck.
Also, i can´t reproduce that in any unit with switchable graphics which in practice should be the same as yours.

Clevo Control Center was never installed on this Windows installation (clean install 1809 then later upgraded to 1903). I'll clean install 1903 in a few days and see if anything changes.

Latest Fan Control 2.4.4 I even did the 'fix dependencies' thing.

The big hint here is that Fn+1 does not have this issue. Lets me toggle between Max and Auto without fuss. Is it possible that your commands 'set fan 2 @ 0' and 'set fan 3 @ 0' are being rejected by the EC as being unsafe? Could you try changing those to 60 also?

On a different matter, on the Control Station, could you put the 'disable touchpad' somewhere else (hidden tab)? I accidentally disabled my touchpad LOL and had to dig out my cordless mouse to get the touchpad back.

Luckily, this happened while I was at home. Had I been travelling, I would have been in big trouble.

It's fine, you can still enable it by pressing Fn+F1, it's not a hardware disable.

    Hello,

I downloaded the software, and I clicked activate and it sent me to your website to choose the model.

I can't find it though, can you please confirm if this model supported or not ?

    Hello Mate

    @Ultra Male

That control utility/app is just what I am looking for. I have an Eluktronics P650HP6-G and they have absolutely nothing anything close to what you offer. Can I PM you or can you PM me. I WILL PAY to get that app shown above. I was told to come here. however, am not sure who the owner/developer is. I'm gonna assume you are due to it being listed by you.

    Sincerely

Go here and download what you want. https://code.obsidian-pc.com/clevo-software/
Control Station and Keyboard-LED are free. Updater and Fan Control are paid apps. Choose your model and pay if you want those. If you want the Keyboard-LED app but don't want to pay for the Fan Control, you still need to download and install the Fan Control app (unpaid) because Keyboard-LED app needs Fan Control app installed.

Keyboard LED just suddenly stopped working for me... none of the settings makes any change to the LEDs (always stays default blue).

P950HR, Keyboard LED v 1.0.3, have not had any issues til now and didn't change anything.

Edit: I think it's due to the October cumulative Windows update which brings the version to 18362.418. The "Updater" app says "Windows version is out of date" and fails to detect the installed versions of any driver. Maybe something changed in the API... weird because the LED worked after first reboot since update, but then just stopped. But that's what I think it is anyway.

Edit2: Never mind - turns out somehow the Windows Management Instrumentation service had disabled itself. Re-enabled and it's working fine again.

Current version of Control Station is too spaced out on 4K monitor with 125% scaling. Looks normal on my 1080p screen. Can you check this, or do I need to delete the config?

Not sure but aren't the higher end Clevos equipped with per-key RGB? It's really weird that OBSIDIAN doesn't have a single one.

I noticed that if I activate (Windows 10, version 1903) "Core isolation - Memory integrity" on my PA71ES-G the fans play crazy and the CPU TEMP is not showing anymore on Fan Control.
Is this a known issue anyone else has?
    Thanks all.

I have not tested it yet. Will try to do some testing as soon as possible.

@John@OBSIDIAN-PC, with the latest update of Control Station, enabling and disabling the touchpad is no longer synced with turning it on or off in Windows Settings - Devices - Touchpad.
