when your on battery, the 9400m uses way less power than running 1 or 2 gtx280m's. so you get the best of both worlds so to speak...

I for one, think that 18.4 is pretty awesome. But I don't really have to carry my laptop around that much.

Well it depend on how often u travel and how u plan to lug it along. As for me, i travel quite frequent therefore the extra weight is not something u wish to lug around(previouly on messenger bag). Expecially with my d900c which is one of the heaviest in it's class. Luckily i'm getting a trolley type laptop bag so it is no longer a problem no more. Nevertheless anything bigger than 17'', finding a trolley laptop bag will definitely be a problem though.

    So the D900F is just a new D901C :(
Too bad they just changed the motherboard and used the same ugly chassis.

John are you sure it has three gpu's?
    That is an odd number,

No other pictures, doesnt Clevo have any models

    Now that's interesting.

Possibly a single GPU, instead of dual GPUs like the D901C.

Some of the configurations of the Toshiba X305 also have 3 GPUs. the 9400M for low power and low energy use and the dual SLI main cards for heavy use.

so the system shown open is the D900F then?

Kinda strange they made the cpu heatsink smaller. The old cpu heatsink for the d900C was bigger

Any news yet of the prices of the D900f or the M98NU?

Without a 2nd GPU, the D900f would be cheaper, but i'm guessing the i7 chip and new board would bring the price back up a bit. So maybe it'll be about the price that a D901C (with 2 9800GTXs) is now ($2800 - 3200)?

I'm thinking the M98NU will be pretty expensive - with the larger screen, 2 GPU's, quad core, and all the fancy bells and whistles it has. Maybe in the price range of $3200 - $4000?

Offering an ATI card option for either notebook would be a nice way of lowering the price and still delivering the power for games.

    What do you guys think?

The w90vp has one big advantage. There's an actual bag that fits. Users of the M98NU will probably experience difficulty in getting a bag that fits.

Fair enough. I guess, I should have said :

The w90vp has one big advantage. It has a reasonably attractive and well made bag that fits. Users of the M98NU will probably experience unwillingness in bringing their laptop outdoors in the hideous bag that was provided.

    Better? :D

The D900F is the only one with an i7 CPU. Clevo sells them to resellers, who may may rename it, although it still is the D900F. Resellers also provide support and warranty.

Just curious, what is the link to the pre-order?

Hmm...nice find..i'm surprised to see it already available there for customization and everything; only drawback is the delay for the release of the Graphics Card. Seems to good to be true...nevertheless i'll be very happy to just see it on Justin's website. :p

if it's so available and they have it or can get it. ASK THEM to open it up and look at the bottom.

    quoted from them

    Estimated shipping date Apr. 15th !!! Pre-order now !

Based on Intel´s brandnew and revolutionary quadcore desktop processors "i7 Core" the Qi1730 offers the ultimate gaming experience. This 17" ultra high performance machine is also equipped with the fastest mobile graphic card in the world "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M" with 1 GB video memory. First benchmarks in 3D Mark´06 have scored already more than 15.000 points with one single graphic card only. The Qi1730 offers 3 memory slots which can be upgraded to 12GB DDR3 memory. This is an interesting option especially for professional graphic artists or video editing.

alright, i looked all over the net and have yet to come back with a 15k score for this thing yet...so who did they get their info from????

    Any news on M980NU price?

btw, since GTX 280M supposedly cheaper than 9800M GTX, the price for M980NU is possibly the same as the current price of D901C.
Am I right? (and i really wish I am :D)

This is the config I am interested in the D900F, from Cizmo. Of course I will use probably XOTIC like before but what is this in US dollars and how much cheaper do you think we may get it here in the US?

Both Cizmo and Eurocom say these will ship April 15th or May 1st if that is true when do you think Sager will start pre order of these? Any good guesses? I know a month or so ago ones were saying the 4th quarter this year but I doubt this is the case, it will be sooner, imo.
