heres some more from hardocp which is from baidu..
according to this if its real then 8700k can upgrade to 8750k 10nm but still 6 cores, literally no point.
however 9700k can be upgraded to 9750k which is 10nm++ 8 cores, turbo 5ghz.. NOICE!

You can't do something like that officially unless you want Intel to cut you off

They put an LGA CPU in a 14" model.
Can they stuff an MXM GPU inside it, too? Thankshmscott likes this. -
so cut off as in not selling cpu? or not selling them cpu at a discounted price? because that would mean closer to bribing by not using AMD cpu in laptop lol.
but seriously though, what can intel cut off to these OEM/ODM? -
Sounds nice but I don't want my eyes to get red each time I use them
-
Is it the vapor from unsufficent cooling and melting motherboard components that "get you high"..?
^_^ -
That will get me low actually ugh

Waht's with their new slogan?

EDIT: I guess it was borked on my end
I am also very interested in this laptop. Hexacore CPU and MXM in a 14" package would be amazing.
EDIT 2: previous moniker had the 15.6 with a 4 I think so it may just be the 15.6" model.Last edited: Oct 4, 2017 -

You break NDA then yeah there are consequences. -
how is making laptop thicker and wider by 1-2cm equals to breaking intel's NDA lol. making it larger to accommodate better cooling and perhaps even a larger display.
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Lol I clicked quote on the wrong one, sorry. Larger display is dangerous as beyond 17.3" panel options dry up. -
then just use 17.3 but stick with better cooling. well thats what i hope at least anyway, from the outside p870TMG look exactly the same.. i hope theres some cooling improvement honestly, especially on the CPU side of things, that cpu heatsink just isnt enough to cool 6 cores unless running at like 4.3ghz.Papusan likes this.

4.5Ghz would be lovely

So if these notebooks are available tomorrow, can I actually buy one tomorrow? When can I actually have an 8700k equipped laptop in my hands?

Already loaded with premas bios?

any changes to the cpu heatsink in new laptop with 8700k? or is that currently under nda?

The new clevo models look great.

Until they don’t improve their cooling system i reject the idea to buy one of thoose.
Better to stay on p870dm3/km1 for now..my personal opinion..hmscott, Stress Tech and ole!!! like this. -
Is the chasis and cooling the same on these new 8700k clevos?
That hasn't been clear to me? I know hidevolution said we could call but I wonder when the site will be revamped.
The first USA reviews are coming out and they are saying the 8700k runs super hot. Do we have delidding on these? I think it might be cool for one of these makers to release a video on temps and benchmarks of the new systems. -

he said theres a bug showing temps wrong between oc and stock but Jay2cents said confidently his chip was running super hot. This has me a bit worried for a laptop. I think we really need to see some videos from resellers showing temps in benchmarks that would ease my mind on a 3k laptop. Are these going to be delidded?hmscott likes this.

this looks great but not a lot of temp data. I am seeing reviewers with numbers all over the place. We will need some specifics on these badboys.hmscott likes this.

The physics scores suffering in sli configs is not encouraging... firmware throttle or temps?hmscott likes this.

I think I will be looking at a 8700k(delidded) (if temps allow) 32 gbs of ram a 1080, a 120hz 3k panel a and 3 ssds.
I am an animator and motion designer so this could be my back up to my ryzen render machine. NDAS are up guys lets see that info! -

Cinebench R15
In Cinebench R15, we see impressive scores over the entire CFL-S lineup. The Cinebench R15 Multi scores sent by Clevo are higher (1396) than the results posted on earlier Videocardz (1230).
@Meaker@Sager as Clevo has sent the bench results (Clevo P870TM - Source: Clevo)... Is your NDA still in work? If not... Could you tell us a little about the Cpu cooling in P870TM1?
Edit.
Intel Coffee Lake Core i7-8700K, Core i5-8600K, Core i5-8400 CPU Review on ASRock FATAL1TY Z370
Stock and oc'd results for 8700K
It seems the Cinebench score done by P870TM1 is a bit low vs. desktop model (the desktop rig use faster 3600MHz ram).Last edited: Oct 5, 2017hmscott likes this. -
I just want some more information about the cooling solution.. hope to hear something soon.
-
same. I can't be running an oven when I am traveling. I need to see cooling, I need to see temps etc.
-
in a few reviewers tests gamers nexus in particular saw a 20 degree C delta between delid with liquid metal an non delid under full load.
So if this stands I would advise everyone to delid liquid metal style. -
However my personal opinion is :
stupid to release a z370 now and after half year will be released a z390 for 8 core cpu’s, i think its better to wait the z390..@Ted@HIDevolution book me immediately

Someone leaked their road map and it looks like christmas 2018 would be the earliest for icelake. if cooling is good enough for the 8700k il just upgrade my laptop again in 2020 or 2021. If not il consider ryzen laptops (nothing yet) or icelake.. Im running a 4720hq in my laptop now. Desktop is my ryzen render beast so thats good until ryzen 2 or later.

Yes Z390 chipset is different from Z370 so you would need to get new motherboard and CPU when Z390 is launched. 8C and 6C CPUs are not going to be compatible as far as we know. -

While waiting for CFL1 Z370 to arrive we are testing GTX 1070 and P5000 in some of older models. Here are some benchmarks:
1070 Panther 5
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/22488557
1070 Scorpius 3D2

P5000 Panther 5
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/22516931 -
the expected release is roughly q4 2018 right? New chasis>?
-
you probably can't respond to that, sorry. It leaked a bit ago the road map. I do hope a new chasis is in the works.
-

More likely same chassis just updated motherboard. Some of our designs are longterm so they last even for 5 generations of GPUS and CPUS. Like our Panther 5 line.

Can you tell us the difference between Cpu heatsink for the new Clevo P870TM1 vs. P870KM1(Kaby lake)? Thanks
Power consumtion for stock 7700K vs. 8700K (the whole system) but the numbers should be comparable anyhow.

is the tm1 the coffelake variant?

According to Eurocom twitter, we get better heatsinks in the new model.
