Have you tried to update the EC first?

No I didn't update the EC at all
I went straight to the system bios and it happened that

Reset cmos first. If that didn't help; blind-flash the EC:
    1. Copy all EC flash files to root of stick.
    2. Edit the autoexec.bat:
    Code:
    phlash16 ECM7x0S.22 /BU=ecold.bak /x /mode=3 /s /C /MFG
    Reset cmos after this, too.

I have tried to reset cmos with no luck
I edited the autoexec as you told me, and i copied all files to usb with no luck again

    1. Do i need a program to create first a usb boot device?
    2. Do i need to push combination of buttons to start flashing? because i push WIN+B and FN+B and it does nothing

Err ... how else did you flash that bios then? Not from within the OS, hopefully?

Regardless, download this autoflash .img and write to usb stick with USB Image Tool.

There's several AE_****.BAT files on there. Renaming these to AUTOEXEC.BAT will autoexecute them upon boot. The currently active .BAT merely creates a folder 'AUTOEXOK' and beeps annoyingly when done. Run this first in order to confirm the usb stick is actually booting. If it has; rename and boot the *.BAT files in this order:
    1. AE_M765S_BIOS_20.BAT (in order to fix current bios)
    2. AE_M765S_EC_22.BAT (update ec first ...)
    3. AE_M765S_BIOS_22.BAT (... then update bios)
Might be redundant, but in this case better reset cmos between each run. Shouldn't be necessary as it clears nvram with each flash, but still ... can't harm, either.

I have done it but it seems that doesnt boot from USB. Its seems dead it only lights once and then nothing.
Is there another way to do this?

Not unless you have a programmer (and soldering iron). Try this first:
    1. Test stick on another system and verify AUTOEXOK is created (then delete that folder if exists).
    2. Remove all hdd(s).
    3. Boot usb stick.
If it still fails to boot/beep; hit F1 while it's booting. That will skip any possible error messages. Also might help if you have an external monitor; the black display could be internal only.

I tested it in my personal pc without HDDs as you said, and it works. Started the blue screen with beep sound and it was a message that cannot continue because there wasnt the wright system.
But AUTOEXOK was not created, it was created a folder named AUTOB20
I have tried and external monitor with no effect
I guess thats it, the mobo ignores everything

Oh @nimakos21... what have you done! I specifically wrote in the initial post of this thread to update EC first and than the BIOS. t456 is doing his best to fix your machine, but if he doesn't manage ... you need to go to a repair shop and tell them you had a bad bios flash.

Don't worry, I once bricked my GPU with a bad vBIOS flash. It takes them 10 minutes to fix your BIOS, it generally takes longer to take the laptop apart to get to the BIOS chip, than the fix itself.

Good thing it didn't continue; you'd have a second bricked system :vboops: . With ' test on another system' that meant auto- boot testing, not auto- flash-testing :vbeek: ! The default .bat is harmless ... :

... but the AE_M765S_BIOS_20.BAT is not. It also has a 'md AUTOB20', that's why you had that folder; that is to check whether boot was successful, at least.

    Back to the issue:
Did you remove hdds from the bricked Clevo? If not, then do so. If you did remove them; while booting keep hitting F7 for a while. Then hit enter and see what happens. If nothing; reboot, hitting F7 again, only this time use arrow-key-down once and hit enter. Remember that flashing bios takes a while; wait a while before rebooting.
Like Blacky mentioned, a hardware fix is always possible and certain to revive the laptop. Only thing is that you have to remove the palm rest to get to the bios chip (left of the touchpad):

It's a Winbond W25X80V, marked "U21" in white letters on the motherboard itself. Remove palmrest, take it to someone with soldering iron (or a shop) and say 'desolder this chip'. If they can't flash it (or ask too much); send me a pm and you'll get my address to mail the chip to. Will flash proper bios (v20 for now) and send it back. Have the person/shop resolder it and the laptop will be running again.

Then flash to v22 (you have a proper usb stick now):
Now, how did you flash the bios? From a bootable DOS stick or from within Windows?

Yes thanks god it didnt continue!!!!!!!!
I have no hard disk connected in Clevo
It seems that keyboard is not responding at all.
I flashed the bios from a bootable usb stick formated with rufus from DOS. At the end it was asking me to push any key to restart and if any key was doing nothing to shut down the pc and i pushed the power button because it was nothing working

Thanks for the info i will try to remove chip in a shop and i will send you PM

Np, glad you went ahead and got it working  . Think it's rather sad when people give up after a 'minor' thing like that. Nice shop, too; that's a modest fee (just a pre-programmed chip would cost as much). Send some business their way, highly recommended  .

Glad you managed to get it fixed.
You can upgrade to .22 if you want, but you need to flash the EC first, than the BIOS.

    Hi,

my notebook is an ahtec clevo m7xsun and I believe this is the right thread to post.

I cannot email my reseller, because the store is no longer there. I bought my clevo m7xsun in 2009. BIOS is 1.00.04 from 2006 and I have no idea if clevo still supports this model, or if I can update the BIOS.

I have visited https://www.wimsbios.com/biosupdates/clevo.jsp?PageSpeed=noscript and I don't understand if M7xx means that a bios which works for m74xsu would work for me. On that list I found Clevo M7xxSU (M741SU , would that work for me?

Hi, can anyone send me bios for D900C 1.00.22/13N (vista keyboard), I have failed GPU 8700M GTX and just acquired HP FX3700M but my current BIOS is 1.00.10 which won't detect the new GPU card.
My laptop is Falcon Northwest DRX so will appreciate if anyone can send me the link or point me to where I can get the bios file.

    Thanks

    Looking for:

    Clevo Nvidia Quadro K1100m vBIOS
    Clevo Nvidia GTX 765m vBIOS

Let me know if you have either of these archived somewhere or if you actually have a machine with the Clevo K1100m or Clevo GTX 765m and would be willing to make a copy of your vBIOS(es).

tl;dr: the old D700t/NP7620 system is rare, and i can't find a bios update for it anywhere. need to update to see if i can get my replacement gpu to work and have a better chance of a p4 661 chip to work.

long story: hello all! i have a very old and uncommon Clevo D750tw / Sager NP 7620 (also called D700t, released about the same time as the D900t). it's basically a 15-inch version of the d900t with a weird circuar mouse pad that i've never seen on any other computer.. this machine has plagued me for years as i've tried to get it up and running time and time again. it used to only show a black screen on startup. every once in a blue moon it would post normally, but it always died again a couple minutes later. i found out that the system fan header on the motherboard had died, so i rewired the system fan to a usb plug and now it can run for as long as it needs! i've managed to get a majority of the drivers i need in order to get it to run windows 7 alright. but i'd like to get the latest bios for it to see if i can get it to recognize the new video card i have for it. the old one shows display, but as soon as you install a driver to it it becomes an artifacted mess. it originally had a ati radeon x800 256mb gpu. i got a replacement x700, but it only shows a black screen with it installed. so i'm wondering if a bios update can fix that and i can get it to work as it should. i have looked all over the internet to try and find a bios update for this old machine, but i can't find one for the life of me. the one or two i did find came from very sketchy lookin sites, so i avoided them.
it also has a pentium 4 570 at 3.8ghz 115w, and it idles at like 65c even with cleaned out vents and arctic silver 5 thermal paste. i'm not sure if it would support a p4 661 3.6ghz 86w chip with the current bios it has. with the 661 chip it would make it be actually usable. because as it is now it's just way to hot to run for an extended period of time.
i'd also like to know what video cards can this machine support? it has the same connector as seen in the d900t/d900k and m59k. if given the option, i'd like to toss in an nvidia 7000 series card.

full system specs for those who need it:
    Pentium 4 570 @ 3.8ghz 115w processor
Intel 915g chipset (if it matters)
    ATi Mobility Radeon X800 256mb (i also have a x700 256mb, but it's not working for me)
    2gb PC 333mhz DDR1 memory
    80gb Intel 320 series SSD
    Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit
top case badge is WidowPC (if it matters)
current bios version is V146 1.00.03wd
    vbios revision: board juclub10.t02
    vbios build date: 2004/12/27

I believe I saw (can't find it again) where someone flashed a P150HM with a P170HM bios successfully.

Does anyone know if this is possibly with the P151HM1 (np8130)? Qubes hardware compatibility list shows someone who has successfully used VT-d on a P151HM1, which isn't supported according to Intel. I don't know how he's accomplished this but I suspect he's used a different BIOS.

Hello. First the p150hm and p151hm are the same laptops (use 180w power adapter to doing it p150hm ). The bios for p150hm and p151hm is the same. Now i believe the difference between p150hm and p170hm is the chipset bd82hm65 (p150hm) and the p170hm use bd82hm67. If you change chipset chip you will after programming the p170hm bios.

Thank you, I thought there was some physical difference as well. the person who did it said his motherboard now reported as a P170HM but still correctly reported the HM65 chipset. The HM67 supposedly is also no VT-d. I might have to find this guy who submitted the Qubes hardware report and figure out what he's done.

Update: PCI passthrough works on HM65, if you put in a processor with VT-d capability. Sager has DMAR set up for you, no need to flash. Not sure why Intel says it doesn't work when I'm using it right now.

hello! i would like to update you on my d700t system i posted about a couple pages ago; i never did find a non-virus encased bios download for my old unit. i got a p4 661, but as i feared it didn't recognize. so i'm stuck with the fire-spewing p4 570. the good news is i found an nvidia 7800 gtx, and it works perfectly! it can now play all the 2004 games i could ever dream of! i really wanted to keep it on ati because that's what it originally came with, but i'm just glad i have a working system at this point. on the other hand, i now have a rather large pile of dead ati cards i've tested in this unit... perhaps i can resell them in a big as is lot.

Hi good day,I cant find the new thread tab so i am going to reply here.I hope this is the right place.
    I have a
W555SUW clevo notebook.I bought it second hand. Now i installed windows 8.1 on it as it originally comes with this.I tried installing 10 and here is where the nightmare comes from,I cant get into the bios as it requires a password.
I cant even boot from usb cause it also requires bios entry, and i have unsigned drivers which i use which also requires bios entry cause uefi wont let me advance startup settings and select driver enforcment..etc..etc.

I called the reseller and they said the chip needs t be replaced or mother board just to enter bios.I told them this is not acceptable. Now i know a password gets generated via your notebook serial,Is there nothing i can do but stay on windows 8.1,and leave the bios alone.

if the bios has a password then someone placed the password there. as far as i know, no machine comes with a predefined password by default.

to remove the password put out the battery and the cmos battery. then put them again and start your system.

thanks guys but i already done that,The password is stored on a chip.If you check the model you will know this notebook bios setup password is stored this way.If i could but short out the component i might have a chance of clearing it.Thats a big chance,Ifi had a good piture of the pins on the board and short it out i might reset it.i called the reseller customer care and the guy said this motherboard is designed this way, taking the battery out wont do it..sorry.

When i bought this notebook,i never worried about the bios, but i only came across this problem when i wanted to change the booting order, then all hell came down on me.So to speak.I dont know what i am gonna do,I need to enter bios setup to change stuff. i cant even flash the bios cause it requires boot order..lol

In older computers, the CMOS battery was responsible for this, but in newer computers, the BIOS and settings are stored in nonvolatile storage like flash memory or EEPROM. This type of storage doesn’t require power and therefore doesn’t have any limitations like the CMOS battery. Mostly the CMOS is used for maintaining the real-time clock for the computer.

This is what i am gonna be up against
    EEPROM on laptops
On laptops, the password is usually stored in an eeprom on the motherboard and not in the cmos. You need an eeprom programmer/eeprom reader (electronic device) to retrieve the password. If you erase the cmos (ie. cmospwd /k) and if the password is really stored in an eeprom, you won't be able to boot anymore.

You can get/buy eeprom programmer in electronic shops or labs, you need another PC to use it. You can desolder the eeprom with hot air or you can try to "clip" the eeprom. With the eeprom programmer, backup your eeprom and run cmospwd /d /l eeprom_backup. If you don't see the password, you can try to fill the eeprom with zero or FF, don't forget the reset the cmos.

I think there are computer shops that could do this for you. I had one do this for a video card I messed up. It cost about 20 euro the entire thing and took 15 minutes.
